I have been coming to this Rhodes for at least 5 years and this morning I decided for my safety I will never be back. I usually come later in the morning but today I came in at 4:30am and a man with longer blonde hair came to the counter. I asked very politely if he could make me a bacon egg and cheese biscuit and he yells “that was what I was doing” and then punched the food counter with extreme force. I stood in the store for a moment before I walked out and eventually came back when another employee was present. I could barely tell the other employee what happened as I was shaken having been a small woman in a store alone with an aggressive man. It was definitely a personal trigger and I’ve been crying since 4:30 am. I didn’t get the chance to see his name tag but he had long dirty blonde hair and a short beard. Women, avoid this man at all cost. Do not entire the store during his shift!

Friday September 8th 7:50. There was a gentleman working tonight who had very poor customer service at least for me. He scanned my ID and said it didn’t work yet I get scanned at another place and it went through. I do not recommend him for anyone. 1/10 experience today.

Most of the staff here is great! Every now and again I get this guy that works on night shift, who seemingly doesn't want to be there. He is the only associate I've encountered that didn't make me feel welcome. He doesn't even acknowledge you when you walk in the door, even though im looking directly at him. (He just stares awkwardly). Asking him to bag up my things was clearly a task he didn't want to be a part of either. As he struggled to put my cans in the bags, I noticed and decided to help him. He didn't even say anything to me for helping him do HIS job. (Working customer service in the past myself) I know that your customers are everything.... the associate didn't thank me for my help, let alone my business. As I walked out the door, I myself had to tell him to have a good day because he clearly wasn't having one himself. (Which he was clearly hesitant to respond) we all go through hard times, especially around holidays. Sometimes all anyone needs is a little kindness, its not that hard. I leave irritated at this place everytime I encounter this clerk, I mean it is a convenient store right? Not a confrontation store, I shouldn't have to leave the store not wanting to come back because some young man decided this wasn't the job for him. Maybe he should be thinking ofa healthy career path. There's plenty of factories around here that will pay you for work without talking or caring about the customer....... wait..... no there's not! Sometimes you gotta care about something you might not really care about.... and its called WORK.

Went there for our usual pizza & salad, clerk said it would be about 10 mins. and took our name. After 20 MINS. I went to check on our order, it was sitting in the HEAT CABINET. I asked the kid why he didn't call our name, he said he thought SOMEONE ELSE did. THEY NEED TO GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER AT THIS RHODES.

I've been to a lot of Rhodes convenience stores and this has been the nastiest. The counter was sticky, the bathrooms were not up to par (not bad for a gas station, but not the norm for Rhodes). I can only hope they were short staffed tonight.

Staff not wearing masks. This was noticed by our family in every Rhodes we've been to in Cape county. Half the customers walking in had no masks and this wasn't reinforced either by staff. Very sad 😥😢 that Cape county doesn't want to be a county that follows rules and makes the CoVid stats go down. You think that businesses and residents would want to be proud people.

I payed almost 5 dollars for a flat bread pizza to have extra cheese on it. when i got home and opened the tray it barely had any cheese or toppings on it and what ever was on it was all in the middle of the pizza, not spread out. waste of money.

Great coffee, gas is usually a bit higher than other places in town - but this Rhodes is close to I-55.
