Had the boys cut and shampoo. The staff was very nice to our fur buddies. They may not have enjoyed the spa day. But they look amazing. Prices were reasonable and the effort and helpfulness was welcome. We had trouble choosing how to groom and the staff offered choices to us. They look great and we are happy with the visit. The staff are definitely animal lovers and that means a lot to us as owners and companions. Definitely will return for grooming and maintenance for the dogs.

Take care of your betas!! I have found 3 dead ones this week alone! The cups are dirty stuck to the shelf because they haven’t been moved or cleaned in who knows how long. These are living creatures and deserve humane treatment.

Terrible customer service! Went in tonight for my son to grab 5 gold fish and some fish food. No one would come to help, including the cashier who just stared at us from behind the register (there were no other customers). Finally got someone to help us, she then refused to sell us the goldfish because she didn’t believe that we had a big enough tank. Asked for the manager who said nothing, but then sold them to us. Will never be back.

I came in for new cat toys the day before Christmas and they had PLENTY of amazing options still in stock, and the customer service i received was STELLAR. they also helped me carry out my stuff to my car since i got a heavy cat tree.

This place has really gotten a facelift since the last time I was in. I usually go to another pet supply chain but it's kinda gone down hill. This place was well organized and when I got overwhelmed about what food to feed my 15 year old poodle who needs to switch to a wet food an employee named Lucas stopped what he was doing and offered to help me out. The girl at the check out was kind and courteous, great job guys!

Awful experience trying to get my dogs nails trimmed today. I've never had a problem here before, but the woman today looked pissed that we came in. She barely communicated and was zoned out like she was drugged up. She didn't attempt to try to comfort my dog and was strangling him with a noose-like collar even though he had a harness on him already. The women working today need to be somewhere else, because they cannot handle dogs. It's embarrassing she didn't even care my dog was being choked and did not care afterwards. I do not recommend to take your pet here for their services.

Great service, wide range of products and brands, and mostly not overpriced as Petco. Clean store, friendly staff, and great prices keep us coming back. I appreciate their return policy. I have 2 American Bullys that have food allergies. While having to try one food at a time, we often would purchase a food that they wouldn't eat or would cause a reaction. Petsmart allows you to return open food or products for any reason with the receipt. If you use a PetSmart perks/rewards card and lose the receipt, while a little time-consuming they will look it up via your rewards account. We always keep the receipt in the glove box as I don't want to make them go through that process!! 10 out of 10 for me!!

We got our hamster here. The lady who sold us the hamster was very intense personality-wise. But I get it. She's passionate about her job and animals. She made sure we knew everything she knew about our hamster. Lol very nice store. Very clean also. Way to navigate.

Highly disappointed with this store. We have been a continuous customer, bringing our dog here to the grooming salon. As me and my boyfriend were picking our dog up, we were RUDLY confronted by the heavyset lady with the reddish/brownish hair that works in the fish department. When I say rudely , she screamed “WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING IN THERE, THEY ARE CLOSED.” Something she could have asked in a normal tone , instead of screaming and assuming we were up to no good.Even after her co-worker reassured her, she didn’t apologize.I feel she would’ve responded differently had our skin color been the same as hers. I feel discriminated against, it was very disrespectful and will not continue business here & don’t recommend.

Came in this store tonight to look at some fish with my boyfriend (African-American) , as we are looking at a particular fish (we are bent down a little bit as the tank is at the bottom), a employee by the name on Wendy yells “sir can you pull up ur britches up” mind you it’s cold out so my boyfriend has a pair of jeans on with a pair on PAJAMA pants underneath and his shirt was just raised up from bending down NOT sagging whatsoever. And the manager backed her up by saying “she’s just stuck in her old ways” instead of acknowledging she was in the wrong. This was very unprofessional and out of pocket as the times we live in. We will be in to talk to the general manager tomorrow.

I love this store!! Everyone who works is so friendly and helpful. I especially love shopping online and picking up my order online. It’s so fast and easy and they always have everything I need at the best prices. Best of all when I order online and pickup in store I don’t have to wait in line. I just let the cashier know I have an online order and the manager brings it up to me. I know they are a chain store but they act more like a small privately owned store that genuinely appreciates your business.

We have been to several PetSmart locations for our Chow Chow/Lab mix to be groomed (bath and brush) but tonight was our first trip to the Independence location. Sure, Lees Summit has a large fancier lobby to pick up and drop off your pup, but the Independence location won us over with their groomers and customer service! Not only did our boy come home looking 100 times better than before (it had been way too long since his last grooming), but he was cared for and loved so well by Jamie and Wren. They took the time to be gentle and make him feel comfortable, this was the lowest anxiety he’s ever had at an appointment. Our family felt so special after this appointment and I can’t thank Jamie and Wren enough for everything they did for our sweet boy. I will specifically be making future appointments with either one of them exclusively, and will recommend them and this location to anyone looking for affordable, thorough, and fantastic grooming services!We also booked the appointment the same day, they were quick but thorough, and they went out of there way to give him extras that can cost additionally. This is almost unheard of at other locations!

It’s really nice inside very big store and has a lot of fish some Guinea pigs and birds. I later found that they have some cats in the store they were really cute. I gave 4 stars because they didn’t have snakes or more options. The employees were very friendly however they needs more pets. Supplies yes they have a lot of pet supplies and cute clothing even for st Patrick’s day superb!

Got a new member of the family today. My son wanted a ball python for his birthday. Petsmart had just what we needed, staff was very helpful.
