I've been a passionate rodent owner for 6, going on 7 years. I got my latest hamster from here about 2.5 years ago. She was the most sweetest, friendliest creature I've ever met. No hamster I've ever had cared if I was upset. She would keep me grounded and was there for me.Hamsters are not a fully domesticated breed.As far as I can tell, the rodents here are well bred and none of the ones I met had behavioural problems like chain pet store rodents often do. My hamster died peacefully of old age, which is another sign of a good breeder.I plan to get my next hamster from here too, and if they turn out even half as good as her, this will be the place I recommend for people wanting a rodent.Customer service was great, the owner is very passionate and helpful.

I got my Bourke’s parakeet from John about 6 months ago. She was a handfed youngster who bonded with me within days. A couple of months later, I purchased a second Bourke’s from John. I wanted a certain color and he only had one that was a bit older and hadn’t been handled much recently. He allowed me to give it a try, but after a few weeks the new birdie was still very scared. John took her back and let me wait for another handfed baby. The new baby was also super easy to tame. Here are my 2 birdies and I couldn’t love them more. Much prefer working with John than big box stores. He has a much better selection of birds and seems to care about them a great deal. My first Bourke had a little injury on her head from her cage mates at the time and the vet tried to chew me out about getting a bird from John but it healed right away with a little medicine. I can’t say how happy I am with the temperament of my birdies. They love me and look forward to seeing me every day, and I them. Their wings are not clipped and you can see in the photo where they choose to spend their time when out of their cage 🧡

We got Gracie from John on Wednesday 1/31/24 and she is the little tiny love of our lives already. John's store is clean and the birds are happy and very cared for. As soon as you start talking with him you can tell he loves every single one of them. He has a big selection of different types of birds and tons of toys and food for them also. He also is SO knowledgeable and he talked with me and answered all my questions. Gracie is approximately 6 months and came home completely hand tame from being raised by John. She follows us everywhere and is being snuggled by us 90% of her day. I would recommend his shop 100 times over. I'm so thankful I found him! I found him on Facebook "Johns Bird Farm". He also boards your baby if you got them from him, which is AMAZING, I wouldn't want to leave Gracie with anyone else. Also we got to meet Rodney the MaCaw who is the coolest bird of his kind I have ever seen ❤️❤️

Honestly my favorite pet store! I’ve been coming here for almost a full year now. John is super knowledgeable and is always willing to help if I have any questions or concerns. John helped me get my first ever snake; walked me through everything I need to know about them. I got two of my babies from here, and I love them to death!

Jon's Exotic pet store has exotic birds along with snakes and anything like else exotic and hard to find.He has an African Grey Parrot that hangs out in the store while Jon works.Jon is really nice and offers the best prices on parrots, hands down.Jon also offers $5 nail/beak trimming along with housing your bird for $5 if the bird was bought from Jon. It doesn't get much better than that, if at all!

Floors were filthy, animals seemed stressed specifically the rabbits! No water anywhere in their pens. I’d take your business elsewhere.Just look how he he talks to people! Yikes

Best experience I've had with a pet store.When looking for food for my bearded dragon, I think I found my go to store. Clean and live insects are a must when looking for feeders.Great prices on super worms and dubia roaches. All were alive when I bought them home, unlike name brand stores feeders.

This guy doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing. This store is absolutely disgusting & the animals have no water or dirty water. I would avoid this place at all costs! If you don’t believe me, go onto your browser and type in this store, go down a bit and there’s a TikTok video showing how bad this place really is! Friend bought a rabbit here and he died 4 days later from a blockage! This is not the place to go.

He has the best prices around on birds. My wife is from Asia and really wants a quaker so we're definitely going to have to come back once we get our cage all setup.

I took my mother here on Mother's Day, after I had been scammed while trying to buy a parrot online. What a breath of fresh air!!! John quite clearly loves birds. If there is something you don't know, I can assure you, he does. His shop was clean, and all of the animals were well cared for. Shame on anyone that says otherwise! John was kind and patient and able to educate us well when considering birds. If you don't have a bird, but want one, John can help you find the right fit for you. If you have a bird and have problems or questions, I'm confident you can come to him, without judgement, to get educated and learn how to create the best living arrangement for you AND your bird to be happy! Thank you, John, for helping me make this Mother's Day a very special one!

John seems to be a genuine guy who loves animals. He had 2 dog rescues in the shop that day that were extremely sweet and loved getting some scratches. He had a good inventory of snakes, birds, furry rodents, etc.

After a quick search for pet stores nearby, we discovered this store, conveniently located as the nearest option. Our decision to visit turned out to be fantastic as we had the pleasure of meeting the store owner, a true wealth of knowledge. Despite the store's limited opening status, he warmly welcomed us, offering both a chance to shop and valuable advice on caring for our bird. His assistance in selecting a suitable companion for our other bird at home was invaluable. We're truly appreciative of the outstanding experience we had!

owner was extremely rude to my seven year old who was taking a photo of a bird, we have never been and didn’t know there was a no photo policy, was not even slightly polite about it. was gonna buy a bird but took my business elsewhere. and now i’ll post this photo somewhere just to be an a hole bc he told my seven year old “posting on your tiktok isn’t gonna happen”, spend your money some place else! this dudes a lunatic

This place is horrible, they kept all the birds in one crate and some of the birds were literally attacking eachother, some of them had missing feathers. it was sad to see and the owner doesn’t do anything about it. They had dirty water, which was probably infected, they had no food, bird poop that needed to be cleaned up. The birds are in poor condition. The whole place was bad. The only person there who was a man was also acting sketchy. Not welcoming at all. It’s no wonder they have a sign that says no pictures or videos, they know they are neglecting their animals! We weren’t even looking to buying a bird we literally just went to look around, never even inquired on a bird but could tell right away that these animals are not being taken care of. They had quakers, parrotlets, conures were the ones attacking all the other birds but still , owner decides to keep all them in one crate. Clearly not knowledgeable about birds!This is animal cruelty, do not buy animals here, could be sick.

Came in from out of town today, checked out a variety of pet shops. This shop had a decent selection of food, substrate, and care items! Large selection of birds and small mammals and a small section of reptiles. NOTE if you miss the small sign about no cell phones/cameras on the door the owner will yell at you promptly. Was actually looking forward to purchasing a large tank from this location as it was very well priced but felt very unwelcomed when we went to take a quick fun photo with the beautiful bird that free roams and got yelled at. Owner didnt seem to want us to be there after that one warning (we didnt see the sign) so we left…

I love this store. My family went to see if we would be a good fit for a pet rat. Played with the rats and talked to John for a good hour before adding two fur babies to our family. The store is very clean and the animals very healthy. You can tell John truly cares for the animals and the customers!

I am a novice reptile owner. John has shared both his time and knowledge to help me keep my snake happy and healthy. On three separate occasions I have arrived at the store as it was closed and John was in his car ready to leave. Each time he opened the store to help get food for my snake.
