Was not pleased with their way of putting down our 12yr old dog. Have been with and seen plenty of animals be put to sleep and never heard or seen any of them in such pain or make a sound like I have at this office. I know for a fact vet clinics have serums to make your animal feel sleepy before hand when such a procedure is done to not feel pain when being put to sleep. The lack of care was not appreciated for the delicate situation needed. No animal needs to feel pain especially for their final moments. Vets are asked to help people when hard decisions are needed to be made, but that doesn't mean a clients feelings or an animals feelings are irrelevant. My dog had cancer eating away at him from the inside out, and this clinic showed me that they didn't care how he felt. Thank you.

I’ll keep this short and sweet. Came from out of town to vet a horse. Veterinarian barely spoke to me (even though I was the one vetting the horse and footing the bill). Ignored my questions, got snippy with me when I asked him to trot a horse out as part of a flex test lameness exam( He flexed the mare and asked her to walk off in a small confined space???) Terrible bedside manner and lackluster experience. They may be great with small animals but you couldn’t pay me to take another horse here.

My husband and I had a boxer that was 15 years old that we had to let go. The doc came out to our house and was very respectful and helpful. After she had passed they let us drop her off at the office to be cremated. We got the ashes back in a beautiful box and note. The doc was amazing and helped us all get through this rough time. Thank you for everything! You are an amazing person. Keep up the great work you do for these critters.

Glad my wife and I made the decision to go to this clinic for my dog to have surgery. They showed great concern and took great care of him which gave me confidence that my doggo is in good hands. They were even willing to wait 10 minutes past closing time for us to bring our good boy home on the very same day.

When I couldn't get my 7 month old German Shepard mix pup in to see any other vet in Houston (including our regular vet) or a vet in Salem, after she had been vomiting for over 24 hours and couldn't keep water down, Dr Taylor got her in THAT day and took care of her.She got an antibiotic shot and antibiotics for 10 days and she is fine now.Thank you to Dr Taylor and staff for being there for us when we needed you and for being so kind to my pup who is very vocal.

I would give less if I could. He took a thermometer 🌡 out of our cats butt and rinsed it in water and just stuck it back in the cup to be used again. We suspected our kitten that we found and took in had ringworm He said oh "No" that's not ringworm and it's definitely not contagious!!!!! Well now my family has had ringworm for weeks now spent 200.00!!!! And still have it!!Have to bring to another vet the medicine he gave us hasn't worked at all, had somebody else's name on it just really upset about the whole deal 😕

I love being able to take my dog in for her shots or whatever we need. She normally isnt great with strangers but she didnt even growl at any of the staff which i was thankful for. She seemed at ease in there and they all were super helpful with any questions and didnt get mad i brought my dogs treats in as a bribe due to her getting shots and she had no issues and they made sure she was fully caught up on all her shots

Do not believe other negative reviews that have been posted here. My dog got a cut on his ear and I figured it would take days to get in but I called Dr Taylor's office and they got Max in with hours. I did not see one negative thing when I met Dr Taylor and his staff they even help me get my dog out of the car and in the car and up on the table. My dog is a scary looking large Pitbull but not aggressive and Dr Taylor had no problem with him he kept petting him and telling him he was okay he listened told me what was wrong with his ear. I asked him about shots and the flea and tick pill got all the information I needed from the doctor and my dog felt at ease and happy. The tech in the room was awesome with Max she held him coddled him and he had not one issue. I think the problem people have with Dr Taylor is he is an old school vet but he knows his stuff. He cares for the pets and not just the ultimate dollar. I will be making appointments for my other two dogs my goats and my cattle in the near future. His prices are extremely reasonable. In my opinion Dr Taylor is an amazing vet he loves the animals and he tries to explain things but he doesn't charge you for things you don't need. Dr Taylor don't change one bit.

The woman behind the counter went psychotic screaming, repeatedly, in front of my toddler to “get out.” This happened after questioning her as to why she needs personal information for a simple 1 item purchase. We will never be back!

Sorry to say we had a horrible experience.... My 11 yr old daughter took her best friend (3yr old cat) in. She was having trouble breathing. I was told to hurry the doc was leaving early. He said her cat had allergies an gave her a shot. In an out no real investigation into what was wrong. He also said give the shot 24 hrs to kick in. Her best friend died a few hrs later. Obviously she is devastated. Had there been test run her life could of been saved an so could the heartbreak to a little girl. I did take her (after she passed) for testing at another place. She needed antibiotics.... something very simple. I can't see myself allowing this to happen again. Our pets are our family and we will never go back.

I just walked in with my miniature Schnauzer, Chewie without an appointment & was told it would be awhile because they were booked. Less than 5 minutes later, Chewie had his exam, shot, antibiotics, & we were on our way! His eye had turned completely white & was clear an hour later. It cost under $100 for everything. I was so impressed we returned the next day for worm medicine & a flee & tick pill. It was a way better price too. We found our vet. I highly recommend.

If I could give zero stars I would. We took 6 cats here and we still have 4 more we're wanting to get fixed but will not take them back here. First off when we called they quoted us 150 for 3 females and 140 for 3 males. We dropped them off in the morning and the vet didn't take any information on any of the cats only asked for my number which I gave him and he put on a little index card. As we were leaving we asked again how much it would be and he said something like "oh well I'll have to sit down and calculate it out" like it was exhausting and like he couldn't take 2 minutes to give us an exact amount. He ended up saying with the rabies vaccine it would be 50 for the males and 62 for the females and that we could just do the math. That would have been 336. Later that day we never received a phone call so I assumed they never got done and would finish in the morning. They still never called in the morning so I called them when I woke up around 1 and they said "oh yeah they were done yesterday at 1" they said they called but they never did. You'd also think they would've called first thing in the morning. Nope. Apparently they lost that note card they wrote my number on. They ended up charging us 372 which made the males 52 each and then charged us a $30 boarding fee we were never even told about.

They're very friendly and helpful. They took great care of our baby cat. Dr. Taylor even told us things about him, that we didn't know. We will definitely go to him when more care is needed!

Always takes amazing care of my Cera. Our family has gone here for what seems like forever. He has saved our pets with emergency operations as well as simple regular care. He always been honest and upfront on what our options are.Recently took in one of our 19yr old cats that had developed a hole and draining fluids. At her age there wasnt much options but he prescribed antibiotics to help clear the infection knowing I wasnt ready to say good bye. And it gave her and our family another month together. She wasnt in pain and was eatting and lively.I highly recommend him for your pets.

I could not believe how rude and mean the veterinarian was or how unprofessional. I think his name was Mr. Taylor. I brought my Cane Corso in because her ear was hurting. She woke up that morning whinning and scratching at it. We brought her in and put a muzzle on her because she's a large dog and was in pain. My husband went back with her and held her so the Dr could examine her. The dr. was extremely rude and wouldn't look at our dog bc she growled at him when he touched her ear?? The Dr told my husband our dog was aggressive and he wasn't going to get bit bc it wasn't worth it. He preceeded to say life was too short to be messing around with a dog that would attack him. Then said pay him to put her to sleep bc that would be the only way he was gonna look at her ear. My husband came to the car with our dog and told me what happened so I went it to talk to the Dr to see what was going on. I thought surely my husband misunderstood. I politely asked how everything went and the Dr. snapped at me and said "your dog is aggressive and if u think I'm going to get bit your wrong". "Make an appt to put her to sleep that's your only option" and then as I tried to ask him what happened he got loud and said good day or good bye (I'm not sure which) and he walked out of the room. I could not believe how rude and unprofessional he was. He's Definitely in the wrong business if he can't deal with a dog that has a muzzle on growling because she's in pain! And he's definitely in the wrong business if he can't more polite to the pple who are paying him.

I called on a Tues because my dog was very ill. I asked if they would accept a post dated check until the following Wed. They told me no even after I told them her symptoms. She made me an appointment for Wed. My dog got progressively worse and finally died on Sun. She suffered terribly. My check would have been good the day I said and if not they could have taken me to court and gotten their money. I will never return to them again

I was traveling from Illinois to Arkansas when my terrier dog became ill. She was panting for several hours and could not get comfortable. I tried calling a few vets along my route, but no one could see her. I googled a vet in Houston, MO and found the Taylor Vet Clinic. I drove up and asked if they could see my dog. They took her in immediately, did a few tests, diagnosed her with a urinary tract infection, and gave her medication. I cannot thank them enough for taking care of my dog so quickly. Excellent service!

I had my dog spayed at another vet clinic in town, and when the incision tore open with a giant open wound on a Sunday. Dr. Taylor was the ONLY vet willing to see us on an emergency visit. He kept her overnight and actually sewed up the incision instead of gluing it like the other clinic did, gave her a cone and I was able to come get her. From that point on, Dr Taylor is the only get I will take any of my animals to.

Doc Taylor came out on a Sunday afternoon for a friend of mine that WAS NOT A CUSTOMER OF HIS BECAUSE I ASK HIM TO. Now how many of your vet's do you know would drop what they were doing, he was dressed very nice. Doc, you looked pretty handsome! Watch out Carla, LOL. He came right over, we are 30 minutes away or little more. But you do that good vets .He had no idea who my friends were, only that their dog had ate rat poison. What a ride from Edgar, worse rain I've ever ridden in in a long time. J got his shots getting ready to go lightning struck substation across from Doc's. Wow that lit up the place then leaving we had hail, horrible wind, rain you could not see thru. We left Doc & his dog standing under porch waiting to slack up. Lol I'm sure he waited a long time. I sure got hit with hail & just as we were putting J Dollar in the back of truck 1 piece of hail about size of marble hit him on nose. He looked mad. Lol. So long story short Doc Taylor is my favorite vet around here. One of the very best. He also comes out to Edgar Springs Saddle Club in the spring for our annual Coggins & Rabies Clinic. He is the ONLY vet around that does rabie shots on dogs cats other animals around.

I was out of insulin for my diabetic cat and my vet had recently retired. Other veterinarians wanted to see the cat before they would sell me insulin. Taylor sold me the insulin without an appointment saving me from from taking time off work. Cat tends to get motion sickness riding very far in the car, so they also saved me from having to give the cat a bath and clean the crate.

Doc Taylor is great with my puppies. I have also seen him work with cattle and horses and he is the best. Large to small he can help them all.
