I can’t thank Joe enough for being incredibly patient and caring to us when we brought my baby Pooder in. She had been struggling with breast cancer and passed away at home, but when we brought her in for cremation, he was very nice and did not rush us at all. He let us grieve and helped us during this extremely difficult and scary time. When I got her ashes back, they included a paw print mold which I was not excepting, it brought me to tears. This is a very caring animal clinic. You won’t regret bringing your fur babies here.

I cannot thank Dr. Szatkowski and Joe Cordia enough for being so caring and staying late for me as I had to let my beautiful dog Jubilee go because it was more than a bladder infection. My baby had cancer and it moved so quickly and my babies don't suffer. They sat with us and fed her treats and then I had my time with her before the end.Thank you so much for such kindness I will never forget. I have her ashes and collar now so she it home again.❤

Duncan's first visit he was a little bit scared but didn't seen to mind his vaccinations, He really didn't like his front Paws🐾 messed with but did let them check his claw that seems to be hurting everytime I cute his nails. Dr. VanMater was very nice as well as all the girl's 😊

These people are top notch. For what started a hectic, scary day they really took care of us. As I was walking down the stairs to leave with my kitty I could feel the pressure of my mental and physical being lifting for the first time in three days. Knowing everything going to be OK. My dog was hit by a car and the staff were so quick to get her in and help her. Not only did they help her, they were so supportive and helpful in calming us down and being emotionally supportive. My dog was treated like their own fur baby! Today my dog has made a full recovery thanks to their quick actions, skilled doctors and wonderful care! I wouldn't go anywhere else, I trust them to take care of my animals and for all of our needs! Thank you House Springs Animal Clinic!!

I could never imagine bringing my fur babies to any other clinic. House Springs is by far the best veterinary clinic around. Dr Szatkowski and Dr Vanmeter are very thorough, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. Veterinary nurses Hailey and Nancy are amazing with my not so friendly German Shepherd mix. Robin, Nancy, and Stephanie at the front desk are always a delight to talk to over the phone and quick to answer any questions I may have. These wonderful people have been with us through everything from routine vaccinations and dental, to bb gun shot wounds and foreign body ingestion. I love them for everything they do for my family and I. If you are looking for a wonderful vet, look no further!

After years of going here(since 2010) I could not get a refill for my dogs antibiotic eye drops which he had to have quite frequently as he has a genetic eye disorder that causes eye infections, refilled until he was seen again since it was over 2 years since he was last seen. I asked for multiple options to get him the drops right away as he is barely able to see at all and this makes it worse, but because my husband and I are both on fixed income and could not afford a huge vet bill all at once they refuse to help him at all! They would rather allow an animal to suffer without a $30 medicine than not get their $$$ office visit for a problem they diagnosed over 10 years ago. Since Dr. Michelle left the office has completely changed as she was the compassionate one that helped us originally with this one and our dog that was 19 when she first checked him out and she truly cared about all her patients. Unfortunately she left the practice and moved too far away to IL. I miss her and wish there were more vets like her. (After looking at some of the reviews, I realize the practice does not even have the same owners or Dr. So that does explain. I will not be going here ever again for sure.)

They made things a lot easier than any other place, in helping my cat with cancer. They gave me something to help her with pain which has helped a lot. They'll be there if something happens and that's a lot now days. It was a calm atmosphere for my cat too, low stress. really like them.

Kindest staff during our worst day...Called in to get a last minute visit for our older dog. (She had what was probably a rapid growth of cancer that after being looked at, we were given our options on what to do.) The staff never made us feel rushed and gave the kids plenty of time to grieve as she had to be laid to rest-we were there long after close and no one ever mentioned the time to us.Their kindness and professionalism helped my young kids at a very troubling time.Thank you.

I agree with another reviewer. It used to be a great clinic. I took my pets there for many years. Finding out that it was sold recently, explains the changes (for the worst) I witnessed in the last few years. If I knew on time what was happening, I would have taken my pets to Murphy's, and possibly prevented the death of my most beloved cat. I will never forget the smiling face of Caryn Meyer, when she notified me (less than three months ago) that my cat had ISS (injection site sarcoma), and their clinic had nothing to do with it. Although he had never been to another vet, and recently had a blood test done there. My cat died last night, just hours after visiting the clinic. Meyer cleaned his ulcerated tumor without even trying to put a pad on the gaping hole it created. She then wrapped him in a towel and roughly pushed him in his carrier while he was crying in pain. She was seemingly annoyed that I changed my mind about euthanizing him. Shethen gave me a different painkiller (which turned out to cause heart failure) and left me without even saying goodbye. I want to warn all viewers that THIS CLINIC WAS SOLD by Dr. Warmbrodt, who was competent, friendly and honest vet, and who's the reason I kept going there for nearly 20 years.last

Was our vet for 30 yrs!!! & Ever since they expended they are too busy to get their loyal customers in as they need.. it takes 2 to 3 weeks to get an apt. Sometimes you don't know your animal is going to get sick and need to be in immediately and it's ridiculous to go to an animal hospital unless it's an emergency but that's what you're forced to do.

I am really disappointed. I have been going here for years. Since the remodel prices have gone up. They don't tell you about price matching at the desk. For example, Nextgard is about $15 on 1800 petmeds but they will charge you $28 a pop for it. Don't get any meds through them if you need them. I took my guy in for a annual check up. $328 later....he is fine. This didn't include vaccines. Yeah...Im looking elsewhere.

They are thorough, kind and compassionate. The staff is knowledgeable. Also, it's a rare thing to get a call from the vet to see how your pet is doing after surgery.

I highly recommend House Springs Animal Clinic. We have been coming here for more than 20 years. The staff and vets have been exceptional. I was sad to see Dr Gunlach leave, but I understand. Dr Jeff does a great job as well. We have two dogs and a cat. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

This vet is horrible. All they care about is money. They diagnosed my dog 6 months ago with a bad knee and gave anti inflammatories because she is old and I did not feel blood work was necessary. 6 months later they don't want to give her the Anti-inflammatory refill without blood work. All they care about is money and whoever is running the show here needs to be fired. The veterinarian needs to be as well because they obviously don't care about a dogs well being or suffering. You can buy anti inflammatories for pets online or at Petco but they need blood work. This place should be shut down. My wife ended up goi g to buy some at a pet store farther away than the vet is. To say that they care about animals is the biggest lie. They will try to do anything they can to get in your wallet. Please spread the word. This place needs to be shut down.

I used to love House Springs Clinic. I've went there for 25 yrs. They were not high priced, they cared more about your pets than their pockets. The staff girls were wonderful.I really hated when Dr Michelle Gundlach left. And now that Dr Warmbrodt sold it, it is not the same. Even my husband said he notice they're not that friendly anymore. Im glad Joe's still there but I hate that I have to look elsewhere for my pet care. This place raised their rates and lost they're compassion, it's rediculis. It's clear that their profits come first !! (You keep your clientele by keeping your rates reasonable ) and word of mouth praise brings in more & is the best advertisement. I am so disappointed! It's going to be very very difficult to find another clinic as great as House Springs used to be when the original owner and staff were there. Now everyone is about the all mighty buck. "It's a shame ". I'll miss you Dill & Pickles!

This place is horrible I would never recommend this place!!! I took my dog in for surgery an they decided to neuter him he is full blooded with papers an I never told them to do so! He did not go in for surgery to be fixed! They never asked me they just did it!!!! Please use Martian animal hospital they have the best vet that would never do anything with out your constant

My puppy got tangled up in barb wire. He needed immediate attention. They said bring him straight in. He required stables, they got him right in and fixed up saving me an emergency room visit and cost. This has been my vet for 14 years.
