Great selection and friendly staff. However they have an odd layout and the 5 or so times I have been in over a period of months, they always seem to be understocked (like whole empty shelves). The place is really clean and the parking lot is clean as well.

Usually has what I am looking for. Love the coupons online. Always look before I go. Could use more light. And most the staff is good. Some could use some training in leaving your problems at the door. But store is organized and clean.

This is the worst dollar general I've been too. I felt targeted, I was told to bring my bag back to my car, that I couldn't enter the store with my BAG. Not only that but when I walked back in from bringing my bag to my car, he let another lady walk in the store with her bag with no problem. I've never stolen anything in my life and have no reason too. They also don't accept coupons to are for the right items. I had to cancel my whole order because she didn't take my coupons that I just used in 2 different store for the same exact product. Congratulations, you've lost my business

DG has great stuff, even if they don't have what I am shopping for... I almost always walk out with something useful!I would like to give extra love to this store in particular. Today, I stopped by DG after a long & aggravating work day.I was in line behind an elderly lady with a full cart. I also had a full cart and a young man was behind me with just one item (motor oil). I let him go in front of me as my transaction would be more time consuming. The elderly lady couldn't find her money. She was upset & panicking, as anyone would be. As the line grew longer another cashier came up to help and took the next customer in line. Then the young man with the motor oil began having trouble with his credit card. In the mean time, the other cashier went to help the elderly lady look for her money and it was found (luckily!). She (elderly lady) then turned and apologized to everyone for the hold up. Everyone in line was very kind. After my transaction was complete I observed that the young man was still unable to pay. I told him put his motor oil on the counter so I could pay for him. He was incredibly grateful & offered to Venmo the $$ to me. Before I could pay for him, the manager (the cashier who came to help) payed for it!It made my day to witness a group of positive, friendly, & thoughtful people. It was enlightening and encouraging that good people are among us.I usually shop at the DG in Hillsboro & unfortunately I do not have great experiences with about the workers there.Maybe they can step it up & DG can stop inflating their prices!? 😂😂Great job High Ridge! And thank you for the wonderful shopping experience 👍👍👍

Rude and ignorant employees, Run down inside and out always dirty on the floors. Spent 30 bucks and asked for change after she closed the drawer and got told had to buy something to get change after I just spent 30 dollars, Seriously? Spend your money somewhere else. Hell even dollar tree is better then here.

Although the cashier was very pleasant, the store itself was very unkept, messy, many items not where they should be, and you could definitely see that they have no pride care in this particular location. I was shocked to see any store being in this condition. I was speechless.

Nice people working there very helpful. Open later than most stores which is a godsend for me. I left something behind and they actually hung onto it for me until I called and came and picked it up was very appreciative of that. thanks Dollar general

Love this place.... Regardless if i spend over $200 on unnecessary items right after Xmas. I just get so aggravated because i have to double che k all the coupons and sales then typically point out $10+ in computer missed refunds. Bet im on point with my dollars. But my 2cents is free.... 😆 lol

I only come to this dollar general in House Springs due to the amount of penny items they have. Upon walking up to the register, the manager (older lady, white/grayish hair) didn’t say one word to me, not even a “hi” or “have a nice day.” Couldn’t even hand me the receipt properly.

guys, get it together.!!! there's nothing like coming into your local dollar general (House Springs MO) to see a line backed up into the candle section while the cashier keeps claiming loudly that she's "been there by herself, & it has been so busy", and how she "messed up a coupon transaction and I haven't been trained on how to do this" She repeats she doesn't know how to fix it, then continues to loudly state she "needs to get out of here and finish up my CDL so I don't have to do this any longer". All the while the customer is apologizing to the cashier for having coupons. AND it is 505 pm and another cashier is standing there watching her. The first cashier asks for help from the 2nd and the 2nd says ' I'm not clocked in, I won't clock in til 5", mind you it was already past 5pm.2 people put their stuff back and walked out, and then so did I.sigh..2/1/19 515pm

When I first moved here and started shopping there, it was the most unorganized messy Dollar General I have ever been in. But within the last year it has really done amazing feats of improvement. Must have hired some people who care.

This is a great place to stop by and grab a few necessary items with out having to wait in long lines. The employees are always friendly and helpful in my experience.

I usually like going to dollar general but this one is on another level.. disorganized and cluttered. One person working who was not very nice. And couldn't even find what I wanted. It's just Worth going the extra mile to go to a different one.

Very unorganized. Very messy. Cashier unprofessional. I like this store because of the location. I work in House Springs. You could not even get down all of the isles because stuff was all over the floor.

Pretty excited got some jolt cola, wish there was a store closer to me but it is what it is. Staff were friendly and helped me find what I was looking for when I couldn't find it.
