The food was not great other then the pretzels which were very good. We went for lunch and after the food was just so so as was the service we asked for our drinks to go and they charged us again for our drinks so on a $45 bill $20 of it was for 3 drinks. I have never been charged to get a to go drink after dining in a restaurant. That being said it is a nice place as far as atmosphere and we have been for drinks and had good service and a good time. This was the first time eating there and could have been a bad day for them, IDK but I hope so. We will probably try it one more time and give them a chance to redeem themselves.

Went there for lunch with my husband for the first time on Saturday. Have to say not only was it the best food I've had since moving to Missouri, but the drink I had off their drink menu (Purple Hooter) was delicious! The atmosphere was great and the customer service was on point. I will definitely be coming back and recommending Forrest Roots to all.

Love to eat here, the food and atmosphere are amazing. They do something different every night to entertain while you eat. Things like trivia night Tuesdays and singo bingo Mondays with live bands on weekends.Kid-friendliness: Kids can come up to about 5 or 6 then no children are allowed on live band nights.

Excellent food, friendly staff and wonderful environment. I ate the chicken, banch, ranch feisty fries and they were delicious! It's a family friendly place during the days and adult fun at night. They always have new things going on there. It's also very clean and well maintained. Definitely will be going again and couldn't recommend it enough!

Although this is primarily a bar, this is no dive bar food! We usually go during the day and the atmosphere is very nice. The burgers are so big and packed full of flavor. You absolutely must try their fried pickels and for all my salad lovers trust me when I say any choice will not disappoint! Great staff.

We love this place!! Great atmosphere, the food is awesome (everything I've tried has been good!), the staff has always gone above and beyond their job. And don't be surprised if you haven't made new friends with some of the other customers by the time you leave. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

I eat here and enjoy weekend times here frequently. The staff have all become great friends and acquaintances. The owners are the moat personable people I’ve met, from hosting benefits for people in need to donating to local civic clubs. The food is profound and the atmosphere takes you out of Dunklin County and gives a bigger city feel. Great place.

I showed up a little early today just to pick up a little bit of liquor and some cigarettes that was unaware they opened at 10:00.They open the drive-thru a little early for me which was very kind. They handed me a cup with some dog treats in it because I had my dog with me and handed me a bottle of water I asked how much was the bottle of water the gentleman looked at me and said no charge and I looked at him and my reply was you're not going to make a profit with that and he looked at me and then looked at my dog and said I'd rather make a friend than a profit. I knew exactly what you meant he wanted to make a friend of my dog I have to admit these are some very kind folks that run this business I hope I one day come back and actually have a meal here if there food half a good as how nice they are it must be great.

Food was good, the drinks were good. The service was excellent. However, my only complaint is the atmosphere was dead and very boring. And this was on a Friday Night? The atmosphere should have been more lively for a Friday night IMHO

Forrest Roots is one of my favorite bars! The beer is always cold, the food is great, the owners and staff are very attentive and always upping their game. Very clean bar and bathrooms, live music, and a great atmosphere. Can’t beat it.

I've traveled most of my life and visited some of the classiest, friendly places. This is right in the top list. They make you feel welcome and special. great food and drinks. Who would have ever guessed such a place like this could happen in rural SE Mo. Just fantastic and gets better all of the time.
