This is the BEST training facility for your dog! We took our 4 mth old Golden Retriever puppy there to learn her manners. It was a 2 week overnight program. Worth every penny as she came home knowing how to sit, come, walk on leash, climb on an elevated bed, wait, stay, focus! I was going out of town an extra week and they offered to keep her and train her that week -they did not charge me extra. With the training you get one-on-one sessions with the trainer during the pups stay, then weekly group classes with other dogs and owners. Our trainer has come to our house a couple of times as well to visit our dog in her surroundings to make sure all is going well. There's approx a dozen trainers on hand in the classes to help you with commands and enforcing what your dog has learned, as the owner you have to be trained too :) The DOG HOUSE truly loves and cares about your dog! It's the BEST! Happy Owners equals Happy Dogs!

After months of being dragged around by my one year old rottweiler friends of ours recommended The Dog House for training. We decided to do the month long board and train with Kelvin. We attended weekly private lessons, were sent videos during that month, and now that he is done we attend weekly group sessions. To say that he's a changed dog would be the understatement of the year! The training he and I have received has changed our lives. We can't thank The Dog House and all the trainers enough for all of their hard work and dedication to our family pet.

I picked up my dogs after several months of boarding. I was dealing with serious health issues. Picked my dogs and was taken back by their condition. Although I was providing food and treats. My dogs came home skinny and sick. Do not take your dogs to this house of horrors. My St. Bernard had lost 50 lbs. my hound mix was skinny and now terrified of everything. My St Bernard had to be put to sleep. They kept him outside in filthy environment only to bring him in at night. No matter the weather. His arthritis got to be too much for him. Consider this a warning.

we had a fantastic experience with the board & train program. our puppy was there for a month, under daily training from their student trainers with supervision of the owners/master trainers. we received regular updates and visits, our dog received a weekly bath, and she came home a well-behaved girl! we would absolutely send another dog there for training and recommend them to others seeking training. becky (who works at the desk and does personalized pet care for the boarded animals) is a total gem.

We haven't done training here, but we were recommended by our trainer to come to the Dog house for a prong collar fitting. They were so patient with our gsd puppy who is a lil anxious in new places. There were other trainers standing around and their amazing energy (bc they are pros obviously) made the whole situation calm and easy going for us. They kept Scout distracted with treats while I was speaking with the kind lady about the different types of collars. We purchased a herm springer and a cot from them. Reasonably priced and bc of the kindness by everyone and the patience and calming energy, I know that if we need further training, I will definitely be hiring them. I Will highly recommend them as well.

If you own a dog, you owe it to the dog, your family, and anyone else who may interact with your dog to have it trained here. Otherwise, just don't get a dog if you're not going to have it trained here-- seriously. This is our third dog we've had trained here over the course of 18 years.

During my first visit at The Dog House, I was impressed with the professionalism, the staff and the facility itself. Since then, I have had my dog participate in the in-house training, different grooming aspects and kennel time for out of town trips I have made. The training was exceptional and extremely helpful in controlling my pup. In short, it was very, very outstanding and truly remarkable. They do wonders with their grooming, better than other professional places I have taken my dog to and incredibly reasonable. Their kennel facility is incredibly well laid out and maintained. The staff that oversees the boarding area takes their job seriously and they love the dogs as if they were their own. The Dog House is well worth going to and investing your dog's standard of living. No matter what aspect you are involved with at this facility, the staff is professional, knowledgeable, well trained themselves and very personable and friendly with their four legged clients and the two legged owners.

When it comes to training our one year old Teddy Bear, we chose to board him for four weeks so we can get his aggressive behaviors managed. I give the training our dog and us 5 stars. When we took him home, he was completely matted and smelled like urine. It took us two hours to comb him. After two baths and he still smelled like urine, we took him to the groomers to assist us. I feel like my poor dog has been neglected and very mistreated. If boarding did not come with bathing, you could have told us! We spent a lot of money to help our dog, we would have spent more to make sure he was properly taken care of. Training classes is a yes. Do not board your dog there!!!

We cannot recommended The Doghouse enough! The staff is absolutely amazing and went way above and beyond for our dog, Remington. Wendy specifically was incredibly sweet and understanding. We will absolutely be using The Doghouse for all of our boarding and grooming moving forward!!

The intro was very impressive. I went there thinking I can do this myself, after seeing the results from the demo dog I realize I was climbing a mountain with no equipment. My dog is a German Shepherd mix, very hyper and strong. I took 4 falls with her and the last one I cracked a few ribs and got a concussion. Being 60 yr old woman, I cannot afford breaks and falls like that.My dog was partnered up with Lucas (Luke). Very tall, gentle yet commanding. I stayed away for 3 weeks, then from their observation deck I watched her work out. She was like a different dog I was watching her for a couple seconds then said to myself "Oh that is my dog!". Extremely obedient and happy. Everyone wants the dog they love to be happy, healthy and obedient. She was a rescue and of "advanced age" as the vet put it. I hesitated to put a lot of money in training her. However after having the falls and the uncontrollable aggression accompanied by one of my neighbors turning me into the police trying to get her put down, my decision came easy. I couldn't afford not to.So far so good. She got to a level 2 in short order, about 2.5 weeks. Ideally level 4 then agility. The group classes are very reasonable and the boarding school as I refer to it isn't bad either. In comparison to other schools they are a very good price. They do seem to specialize in German Shepherds which was also appealing. My first experience was at Pet Smart 6 week course. Don't get me wrong for many people with easier dogs to work with it is ideal. My girl has more tenacious issues, plus they are ingrained with her being older. Who knows her background.Hope that helps. YES I do recommend this school and LUKE!!!

Absolutely love this kennel. My dog is thrilled when we arrive and runs up the steps to see Jennifer. She has stayed here 2-3 times a year for the past 4 years and we have never had a problem. They always take good care of her and everyone here loves dogs and the dogs know this. Highly recommend.

We absolutely love the Dog House and wouldn't take Chase anywhere else! We use them for training our Great Dane pup and also kenneling him when we are heading out on vacation. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and super helpful and friendly. Every time we bring Chase he is excited to get out of the car and we never have to drag him in as he bounds up the steps with excitement! Spencer has handled most of the training and he is great. Absolutely AMAZING!

Warning: do you not leave your dogs here. I've been taking my three dogs here for several years and always had a good experience. Two of my dogs were boarded for two night a week ago. First, they didn't have the reservation in the system when I got there. When I picked them up two days later, I could hear the puppy crying and barking from outside. When I asked why, I was told that she had "escaped and had been separated from the other dog." After waiting a long time for my dogs they finally brought out the puppy and I was told again that she had been put in a kennel by herself. The woman who brought my puppy out called her by the wrong name. The staff obviously had no idea which dog was which. After more waiting, my three year old dog was brought out. Both dogs were very quiet and subdued. The three year old was missing two teeth and spent the next 24 hours growling and whining which is totally uncharacteristic as she's usually friendly and playful. She has never growled at me in three years until after her last stay at the Dog House. No one could tell me anything about how the puppy escaped, why the dogs were separated, or what happened to the three year old. When I called and asked to speak to the owner, they refused and gave me a "manager" who said the whole staff walked out the weekend my pups were there. She lied to me and said the dogs were never separated which her own staff contradicted. She hung up on me twice and there was no resolution or explanation. Check the dates of the previous reviews - I would have given the old staff high ratings. Do not trust this current staff with your pets.

The best Groomer around town! Great for people friendly doggies. Customer service is absolutely wonderful. They are not always able to but they squeezed my little guy in their busy day. They did a cut, nails, and bath on short notice. My puppy looks amazing and seem very happy. I've never seen a dog smile so much. Definitely good to your pets and pocket book. Great place! Will surely be passing this place to family and friends. 🐶❤

I read a very disgusting review of the Dog House boarding kennel.  I was able to listen in to the yelling client cussing and making no sense for what seemed like forever. She literally could not say a sentence without including the word “fu*k” one or more times.  The employee was calm and very courteous and never attempted to escalate the tirade.  I don’t believe the employee was aware of the issue because this lady constantly screamed nonsense. I couldn't believe the lady was behaving in such a disgusting manor. The employee conducted themselves so professionally and me personally I would have SNAPPED at this lady.I’ve boarded my dog several times with complete satisfaction.  I don’t believe I could have kept my cool as they did when called every name in the book. It’s really a shame that some people are so disrespectful and cannot at least explain why they are so mad.

The dog house is a great place to take your dogs! I work 12 hour shifts, so I take my two dogs to daycare here every week. I also board them occasionally. My dogs get so excited when we pull up in the morning, and they are always tired and ready to sleep when I pick them up! There is also a 24/7 room where I can drop off/pick up my dogs, after hours which is amazing with my schedule. The past few weeks I have been having some challenges, and the staff has gone above and beyond to help me. I am very grateful for Jennifer and the dog house, and I will be taking my pups here for a very long time!

The change in our dog is amazing thanks to the incredible training and support from Jeremy and the other trainers at The Doghouse! Our dog needed help with dog reactivity. She is an 80 pound, 2 year old German Shepherd that lunged and barked at other dogs while we had her out on walks. She frightened other people and I was afraid of what might happen. It made me so nervous that I would avoid taking her anywhere near other dogs. That really limited our walks because we live in the suburbs. We left Sophi for 3 weeks of in kennel training. During that time we had lessons, too. The change in her behavior was amazing. Of course it is a work in progress and we spend time training each day. She continues to improve and so do we. We are now in group lessons on Saturdays and she can be there with a room full of dogs! INCREDIBLE! We are very thankful for all we have learned and the growth we have seen in Sophi! We plan to continue the group lessons, as they provide the perfect opportunity for us to help Sophi be the best she can be. Jeremy is an amazing trainer and he gave us the knowledge and confidence we needed to be successful!

The Manager, Jennifer, was absolutely wonderful. She helped us out in several ways, because this was a very last minute reservation. I couldn't find anywhere to take our newest pup, Quinn, who is a pitbull mix. Many places discriminate unfortunately. She told me the dog house doesn't discriminate breeds at all :) she also met me on a Sunday , which isn't during their usual drop off hours. She was very thorough in asking about their needs and habits. I haven't picked them up yet, but so far everything has been far above my expectations. I definitely will be using them again . Also, my dog trainer highly recommended this place, and knows many of the staff members. I have nothing but good things to say 😁

The young lady at the front counter was pretty helpful and informative. i Spoke with a few trainers before dropping of my dog and let me tell you , they definitely deserve raises. i’ve never met such genuine, caring, and educated individuals as the workers and trainers at the doghouse. taking your dog anywhere else for baording or training would be a mistake

We always bring our dog Gracie and our cat Gumbo here when we leave town for extended periods. We live in the city of STL, and feel that it is worth the drive for the amazing care our pets get.Gracie gets excited as we get closer to the Doghouse and never looks back when we drop her off. When we pick her up, she is happy and tired.Cats usually do not like changes in scenery, but our cat Gumbo seems to love this place too. When we pick him up, everyone has a story about him and it is clear to us that they love him.Get your pet groomed here. Our dog Gracie is extremely hairy and we like her that way. The groomer here truly listens and does a better job than anyone else EVER getting Gracie's hair untangled and looking amazing. She obviously takes her time and Gracie loves her!Most kennels worth anything will converse to some level with the owners at pickup. When we pick our pets up, there are always stories-- fun ones-- and we truly feel that they have gotten to know our pets and really care about them.Boarding a pet gets expensive. Doghouse, though not cheap, offers good value compared with other places in the area. Doesn't hurt that it is in a beautiful location. We are truly sending our pets to "camp" when we drop them off And we can feel good that they are in excellent hands.

We took our rescue dog for the one week boot camp when we were on vacation and when we came back she was phenomenal. They teach you how the reinforce the training. Very good I r recommend the week long training.We also board our dog there and she loves it, she told us so. Playtime and treats. Just like a doggy spa.

After trying to find someone to help with training a pit bull mix I was turned away at several places. When my wife took our dog to the demonstration day we knew we found the right place. We opted to take her 5 days a week for a month. The training we received along with the dog are priceless. It was truly money well spent.

When I go out of town, I take my pups here exclusively. The staff are very knowledgeable, know how to conduct themselves around dogs very well, and really listen to you when you tell them specific things about your pet. I've been to other kennels in the past and they pale in comparison to this place. They deserve more than 5 stars in my opinion.

I live 20 miles from The Dog House, yet it is no inconvenience in order to get the great value, friendliness & professionalism from this boarding facility. My dog is quite comfortable here, more than other kennels that I have dealt with in the recent past. I know this as he always consumes ll the food I provide for him.

If I could give this place no stars I would. They almost killed my friends dog. If it wasn’t for them going to visit when we was there for 2 weeks. He would have died. Took him to the emergency vet and they said he would have been dead within 3 days. They are not licensed or certified for training. Do not go there!
