What a gem! As soon as you walk in, the smoked meat aroma will make you hungry and you’re in the right place! The braunschweiger sandwich with German potato salad was a 10/10. We also tried a bratwurst on a pretzel bun with deviled egg potato salad, which was also a 10/10. The staff is extremely friendly and they have a shop filled with seasonings, sauces, meats and more. Although we aren’t into soda, they have an impressive selection of unique (non major brand) drinks. Herman is only 15 mins off of Highway 70 and the town is incredibly charming.

I ordered the pulled pork, bbq sauce was delicious, sweet but a little tang, I have never had German red cabbage or was very tasty. My friend had turkey Swiss hot sandwiche both was served on pretzel buns. Price was a little steep but well worth it. I would recommend stopping if in town.Parking: Place is booming, so find a spot you better get it

If you ever happen to find yourself in Hermann, Missouri, check out the Wurst Haus. No Weißwurstfrühstück seen on the menu to my father’s disappointment but they have lots of awards, and there’s some neat history behind the spot.I understand that deer season had just begun and it is subsequently a busy time of year but unfortunately it seems to have had an impact on the services and the attitudes of those providing said service. I found it unfortunate that hunting season took clear priority over other patrons, but that is the reason behind my 2 stars for service. Otherwise, cool, clean atmosphere with appropriate decor, good brisket sandwich and a gift shop inside that carries an array of meats — smoked and otherwise — mustards, spices and seasoning, even humorous gift boxes available for purchase. Truly, “the best of the Wurst”.

Ok four stars for their brats, bacon and all of the other meats. We have been here a couple of times and we always get the brats, bacon, jams and other delicious foods we find at the Wutst Haus. We have not had lunch here, but we plan on it next time we are in Hermann. The all you can eat breakfast, which we have had 2 different times, is really bad. It reminds me of the "free breakfast" you get at a cheap hotel.

In traveling full time, we like to fully experience what each destination has to offer. While staying nearby, we happened upon the town of Hermann and decided that it is a location we would add to our future travels. One place that stood out for us was the Hermann Wurst Haus. Upon entering, the smell of smoked meats teased our olfactory senses, so we had to have a taste of the offerings. Perfect timing on our part, since we were ready for a nice lunch. We ordered a brisket sandwich, a brat (sans sour kraut) with German potato salad and a couple of dark beers to compliment the food. (So sorry, I'm part German but I do not care for sour kraut...I guess I'm not normal?) Anyway, the food and beverages were outstanding! And to top that off, the restaurant staff was pleasant and very helpful, too. Thank you, Hermann Wurst Haus, for being the best!

Breakfast for 2 is $35. Save your money and go get gas station food. The breakfast is cold and horrible. Eggs from a bag no flavor, bacon is very fatty, poor quality, frozen sausage balls they put on your paper plate with a hard biscuit and some package gravy, hydrated hash browns that were luke warm. No table service. We had to play hide and seek just to find some salt and pepper. Don’t let their breakfast pic fool you that’s on their Facebook page!

Disappointed in the breakfast. Paid $16 for a plate of instant eggs, bacon, ham that gave me the sh*ts, and a super hard biscuit with gravy on it. The sever plated the food using his bare hand.Their sausage is excellent if you have it for lunch, but they didn’t include it in the breakfast. They did, however include their bacon, which was delicious.

Best German food in Hermann!!! Our group of 6 was greeted at the door, told about the special, and told how to go about ordering. Our highlights were the special BLT, balogna, the bratwurst, the German potato salad, and the slaw. We enjoyed our lunch on Friday so much we came back Sunday morning for the breakfast buffet.very good!

Cashier had attitude, resting b face. Acted like she'd rather be anywhere else and disgusted that we didn't see their little menus with the big price on the way in. Should have a menu board or sign up w specials or something. Very antiquated. Food was just ok at best, with the exception of German potato salad which was very good. Second try here, but the last as well.

I had high hopes when we visited an award winning sausage house. I was very disappointed in the ingredients in nearly all their sausages. Why would anyone use corn syrup solids and MSG. Buyers can get plenty of that in the industrialized food supply. Not to mention, no clean grass fed meat. If you care about your health and the quality of meat you eat, buyer be aware and read the labels.

No star deserved HONESTLY! The lady wearing the chiefs jersey with black hair behind the area where the hot food was, was awful. She made it a point to turn the heat lamp/light off as soon as we started looking. She said they were done for the day but guessed we could order still.Very sad she was this way because we truly couldn't wait to try this place.Good thing we didn't drive all this way only for this restaurant. Decided our money was better spent elsewhere where we could find smiling faces.Go to Downtown Deli a few doors down. Way nicer!

Nice place and nice people. But I have to admit that the Best of show brat was disappointing. But that’s just one mans opinion. They wouldn’t be in business if people didn’t love it so, enjoy!

You never get a second chance to make a first impression. We arrived here around 12:30PM on 7/23/22. The greeting was friendly and she recommended the special. A BLT made with house bacon and home grown tomatoes. Sounded great ! As you can see from the photos , the sandwich fell very short of expectations to say the least. We had made a day trip to Herman and was looking for a nice lunch. This was not it. I brought it to the owners attention and I explained that is is not what a BLT is or should look like. He did bring extra bacon , lettuce and very thinly cut tomatoes to our table. I made the best of it with the additional items provided by making my own sandwich. Out total bill was 34.28. I thought it was interesting that there is a sign behind the cash register that reads “WORLDS BEST SANDWICH “. My recommendation is to eat at one of the other local restaurants in the area and avoid this place for lunch.I agree the world should be a much kinder place, however as a business, checks and balances should be in place to ensure quality control. Certainly with new employees are involved. I do not typically leave negative reviews and in all fairness the owner did provide more items to “make it right “. However , I had to make my own sandwich at the table when I paid someone else to do that for me. We don’t go out that much and this is one of the many reasons why.I stand by my review.

This was a great stop! Shop, eat or both! Some of the best German pasta salad I have ever had. Rich, creamy and delicious. Bought a ton of cheeses, sausage, salami and brats to go. I've never seen that much meat aging/drying on racks before. Pretty cool to see!

Cool place. The owner is very friendly. Probably the best bratwurst I have ever had. No gristle in the meat. The flavors were great. I would highly recommend the caramelized pear and gorgonzola. We got a package and they were great! I would like to go back and try some of their bacon. If you like brats this is the place to go.

We came for lunch and had brats on pretzel buns with sauerkraut and mustard sauce. They were absolutely delicious! For sides we had large servings of German potato salad, loaded potato salad and red cabbage, all were very good. Employees were helpful and friendly. Definitely a place I want to come back for lunch when we're in Hermann.

My boyfriend and I love going to Hermann. On our recent trip we discovered the Hurman wurst house and we both loved it! He loved the potato salad, and we both had the best of class bratwurst. It was delicious, I had mine without the bun, but the bun itself looked so good too…. Bread is my downfall and I have stopped eating it but even alone the brat was soooo good with their unique mustard. Definitely coming back!! Also, they have all you can eat breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and kids under 8 eat free!

VERY cool shop! Free tastings of the sausages and assorted other food and drink. Great-looking deli. Fun! Was hoping for more traditional German sausages, but holy cow! What we tasted and boughtwas fantastic.

We really enjoyed the Wurst Haus. Mike greeted us as we entered and we asked him to recommend things off the menu. We tried the platter, and the brats, sauerkraut, German potato salad, and cabbage, and all were delicious. We tried a sample of the sausage they had at the front of the store and ended up buying some because it was so good. Staff were friendly, and we liked the selection of items we had to choose from. We are from Milwaukee, where we know sausage (lol), and this was a great find! Thanks, Mike!

Went there for the all you can eat breakfast on this morning wish I would of looked before I ate it was greasy gravy, gross hashbrown casserole the best thing on my plate greasy bacon and they had scrambled eggs my husband had them and a piece of brats that was sweet anyway we barely made it home my husband barely made it to the bathroom I have been sick all day it was $38. And you get one free drink out of the cooler I had water he had a soda so not worth itDecided not to shop because we were both sick
