This tour was SO fun! The scenery is spectacular. Make sure you ride the trolley. The drivers are very knowledgeable and make the whole experience. They were singing with us and gave info on each place we went. The little town is also so cute. They have some awesome bed and breakfasts and shops you could stay in for days. Sugar Mommas bakery has the best pie ever! Also, make sure you visit the chocolate candy place and the cheese and sausage store. Overall a great experience and I would go back everyday!

The Food to Table Pairing was awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed the venue. The mediocre rating stems from the speeding ticket we received from one of Hermann’s finest. As we departed Reserve Cellars headed towards town we were laughing and talking and enjoying the day. When we made the curve we saw the police car and wondered if there was a posted speed limit but it was too late. He pulled us over and gave the driver a ticket. Not sure this is the kind of negative publicity you want for a tourist filled event. Filling the city’s coffers during a public event is not a good image.

This was such a fun experience! I would highly recommend it. The country is beautiful and everyone is warm and friendly. All of the winery's along the trail offer wine tasting and snacks while enjoying the site's and cellars. It's a must do for this area in Hermann!

Went on the Holiday Faire Wine trail today. Definetly make Adam Puchta Winery your first stop. They are a beautiful Vinyard with very friendly staff. We were a bit surprised when we stopped at a Gas station on the way home and found the same wine we purchased from several of the wineries today for a few dollars less a bottle. After paying the $35 per on top of tasting fees and then bottles of wineticket it was not a cheap day..

I went on a wine tasting expedition here, and beyond the wine the decor of the town was paired perfectly. Walking through this old town I noticed how friendly everyone else was around me. The experience being in an area where grapes are grown locally gave me an nostalgic feeling as if I was back in Tuscany.

The staff at all of the wineries were great. We were looking forward to the tasting menu but were very disappointed in two of food tastings. The most frustrating thing was at the end of our tour. We ended the trail at OakGlenn Vineyards and Winery. On our way to park, two young men were stopping vehicles and trolleys before they made there to the parking area. They were charging $5 a person for a cover for the band that was supposedly playing. We were extremely upset by this as we had already paid our $30 for our ticket (we were a party of 6). We told them that we had Wild Bacon Wine Trail tickets. They told us that we either needed to pay the $5 cover charge or go up, turn around, and leave. That made us even more upset. We parked, went up where the tasting took place, and asked about the cover charge. The people there told us that starting in May, they have a band on Saturday nights and they start charging covers at 4pm. We arrived at 3:45pm. We said that we came here for the Wild Bacon Wine Trail and not the band. The person stood by the $5 cover charge and shared that another Winery on the trail does the same thing (Adam Puchta). When we were at Adam Puchta earlier in the day, we didn't see a sign about a $5 cover charge.Nowhere on our information regarding the Wild Bacon Wine Trail talked about their being cover charges after a certain time. Not only that but the Wine Trail was from 10am - 5pm not 4pm.We talked to several other people who were there for the Wild Bacon Wine Trail about the cover. They were as upset as we were. They told us that they took the trolley to get there and if people refused to pay the $5 cover they were asked to get off the trolley. That was jaw dropping. If we had we known this was going to happen, we would have made OakGlenn one of our first stops. Instead, we ended up being extremely frustrated at the end of our fun day.

Wasn't entirely sure about the wine, but some of their liquor wasn't to my liking.
