Espresso Laine is an adorable coffee shop with delicious coffee and amazing wait staff. Stop by and enjoy a delicious pastry with a latte prepared using their very own roasted beans. Or take coffee beans home from a nice variety of flavors and roasts. They also have some pretty cool toys available for purchase for kids.Personally, we'd like to thank the young man who took time to chat with us about the history of the building and a few things to check out while in Hermann. You went out of your way to make us feel welcomed and we really appreciated it!

I was in town visiting my sister and she said Espresso Laine was a must. I was glad she suggested it. The coffee and scones were wonderful. Even if you aren’t a coffee drinker it is definitely worth checking out. It is a very unique shop with lots of candles, toys, and gift items. The atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming. I highly recommend for anyone visiting Hermann.

Baristas were very friendly and talkative. Lady running the register asked me to pay with cash. I told her I didn’t have any on me. Though I know many establishments prefer cash, I’ve never had someone ask me outright to pay that way. Tacky. When the card reader asked me to tip, I didn’t, and the employee pointed out “No tip? Ok then.” When paying almost $7 for a coffee, and then being addressed this way, I’m glad I chose not to tip. Wow.

Stopped in during a wine visit in Hermann with an old Marine buddy. Very friendly, comfortable environment. Lots of tables and room very spacious. Ordered a latte and coffee cake while setting up a checkers game. Lots of bakery items to choose from. Also stock wide variety of gift items and children's toys. Purchased a couple glass mugs and pastry items to eat on the way back to hotel via Amtrak. Latte & coffee cake were excellent. Highly recommend. Special shout-out to Hadley for her exceptional customer service and personable personality.

The shop owner was so rude when my daughter accidentally spilled her drink. I even offered to clean it up for her, but she preferred to roll her eyes and ask how big of mess it was. Our friends were still at the register when it happened and she made a rude comment about it. So sad. It isn't like we did it on purpose. You sell drinks, it is bound to happen. It seemed to be a kid friendly establishment, but we will not return again. There are plenty of options in town, we will go elsewhere from now on!

Espresso Laine is a very cute, charming place to get coffee and other treats. However, the quality of the coffee leaves much to be desired. I ordered a decaf latte which was prepared correctly and quickly (but didn’t taste great).The person I came with ordered a black coffee and was told they didn’t have any coffee besides a hazelnut cream drink, which he didn’t want. The staff argued with each other about whether they could make a pot of coffee. It took a while but eventually the coffee was done. We then watched the staff pour some coffee into a cup and argue about whether it was acceptable or not. They poured more into a new cup, and decided that it was fine. They gave him his cup of coffee, which was not great according to him, and there were coffee grounds in the coffee.

Quaint coffee shop on the main street in Hermann. Atmosphere is excellent and location is good too. The staff was super friendly and nice. A little on the pricey side but expected in tourist(y) locations. Great selection of tasty treats too. Overall, a cozy atmosphere that sells coffee, snacks, and gifts.Parking: Limited spaces especially on a busy day.

Cutest little coffee shop ever! If you are visiting Herman this is a must stop. Also, they have a bunch of kids stuff if you want something to bring home to your kiddos. They had all the coffee that you would find at a Starbucks and more, all sorts of breakfast foods and cookies.

Lovely little coffee shop. Setting is really quaint & homey with a beautiful front porch area, free WiFi & very friendly staff. Perfectly located right across from Hermannhof Winery. Grab your breakfast & coffee, then begin your winery tours across the street. Highly recommend a stop! We'll be back.

Came in on a Tuesday morning for a quick coffee and breakfast sandwich. Lainee and her staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - being here felt like being with an old friend. Mocha latte was excellent and sausage, egg and cheese kolache was even better. Atmosphere is cozy and perfect for settling in on a crisp morning.

food isn't bad but is really dry has odd flavor. I had the pumpkin scone and my brother had a ham and cheese kolache. my brother said it was good and warm. coffee is perfect hot chocolate for my daughter was super sweet and totally safe for her to drink temp wise.I think it's okay for a small town coffee place.

My family travels from all over the United Stated to Hermann to meet every October, for Oktoberfest. My wife and I travel from Arizona. Our first stop is always Expesso Lane (before she bought it, it was the Coffee Haus and we shopped there too). We love the many flavors of ground coffee and always bring some back home with us. We also enjoy a couple of pots of coffee every morning while we sit outside, enjoy the cool temperatures, fall colors, and charming community. The owner is always attentive to us and lets us know what is new in Herman. Look forward to shopping with her next year.

I love this place! My boyfriend and I enjoyed a fun Sunday morning here. Great coffee, and tasty treats with nice seating and some table games. They also have a gift shop with cool and unique finds. We will definitely return the next time we are in Hermann!

This was our second trip to Hermann, but our first time to this lovely coffee shop. The staff was immediately attentive and friendly. The scones are amazing. I recommend the bacon and cheddar and the banana toffee- delish! My iced dirty chai was was lovely and my husband and mom loved everything too. We got to chat with Lainee, the owner, for a bit and learned a lot about the town. Such a great place- definitely stop in. It’s a treat!

After a long hot couple days on the bike the ladies at Espresso Laine made our day! Amazing drinks and scones! The atmosphere is the best! Wish I had time to hang out there a bit! Next time I’ll plan on bringing the wife and kids and stay a bit.

Neat little coffee shop. They automatically ask for an 18%, 25%, or 30% tip on over priced coffee and muffins. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the higher prices because I like supporting small business, but if you're going to ask for a tip automatically (which is rude), then you should at least have reasonable numbers like 10, 15, and 20%. This tipping cultures has gone too far and it's annoying.
