We love our dog, very easy process! The are great at communication, even after you bring your pet home! You can really tell how much they love the animals and want all the best for you and your pet!

I had been searching various adoption centers for a senior dog that would fit well into my household.Luckily I was able to find Bo at the PALS Animal ShelterI truly appreciated their diligence with the screening process for home placement as well as the home visit.

We had a wonderful experience adopting our dog from PALS! Their level of professionalism during the adoption process and the way they care for their animals is amazing! They still continue to follow up with us weeks later to make sure our new family member is doing well in our home. We highly recommend adopting a pet through PALS!

I cannot even tell you what we went through with our sweet furbaby….but I can tell you that Jennifer at PALS was there every step of the way! PALS is so dedicated to helping these babies get their forever home In EVERY way possible…. We are so Grateful to Jennifer/PALS, and sooooo beyond Blessed to have Hatty in our lives. Guaranteed (not sure what her life was like before us) but from here on in this baby, who became part of our family the second she put her paws in our home- will be not only spoiled to the core/already is, but will have the best and most love she could ever have. Thanks Jennifer and Thank You PALS❣️

The adoption process was great, but not all the information about the dog was disclosed to me from their vet and we just found out that he has a very degenerative hip and knee condition and that the only way to fix it is surgical intervention costing thousands of dollars!! My vet told us this should’ve been a no brainer diagnosis for any vet considering the lack of muscle mass he has. It’s actually one of the first things my vet noticed the first time meeting the dog! This is a dog we have only had 3 months and I am so upset that I have to make this impossibly hard decision about what to do. We were told there is medication that we can do that will give him a few pain free years, but that it will continue to get worse over time and that the surgery may not even completely correct it….very upsetting, and very disappointed ☹️. Not sure how I’m going to explain it to me kids…would’ve been nice to make an informed decision up front instead of being blindsided

We adopted this sweet girl from Pals and her nameIs Ginger. Every step of this process was so directed toward Gingers needs. Pals even did a house check before the adoption to see if the living conditions meet their requirements, which shows how much they love and care for their animals. They even keep checking on her during and after the adoption! If you live in Lincoln County and want to adopt a pet don’t look any further than Pals because they love pets as much or more than we do. I recommend them 100%Ronnie Stoops

PALS is a wonderful place to adopt from. They brought my newly adopted dog to my home to help acclimate my other dog so that the expansion of my family would go smoothly. PALS also gave wonderful resources and guidance throughout the whole process.

We found the sweetest companion for our dog Ozzie at PALs. Olive (formerly Kilani) is already so loved. I really appreciate Jennifer checking in on her and taking the time to help us introduce the dogs. The volunteers were also very kind when we visited her at the shelter.

My husband and I just adopted the sweetest basset hound from Pals, and had such a wonderful experience working with them. They truly are dedicated to making sure that each and every animal they take in goes to the perfect home. They are thorough, and are with you every step of the way even after the adoption. Stella has been the perfect addition to our family, and has a basset hound sister, Rosie, that she has become fast friends with. I’m so grateful we get to be Stella’s family. Thank you, Pals!

We are thrilled with our experience with PALS. Within 5 minutes of meeting them, these two picked us to be their family. The PALS staff explained every step of the adoption process, came to our home to ensure we were the right fit, provided excellent medical care until they were ready to settle in at their forever home. On the day we finalized the adoption, we got to meet a sweet young lady who volunteered and kept our boys company and supplied with snuggles while at the shelter.Special thanks to Shelly and Jennifer!Highly recommend to anyone wanting to adopt.

We are so happy with our new puppy, the staff at Pals seem very caring and loving to the animals. The really do due diligence to make sure their pets find their forever home and are well cared for in their new homes. We fostered Tucker (howler) for two weeks before he was able to be neutered, Jennifer called us regularly to see how everything was going. Once he was neutered and we finalized the adoption Jennifer continued to call to see how he’s was doing and if his incision was doing good. Through this whole process we found the volunteers we were in contact with all had a true love for their rescues💕

ALL of you are so WONDERFUL! Every aspect of your operation is top notch! The staff is so welcoming, friendly and informative. The facility was extremely clean and well kept. The animals all seemed to be really loved, NOT just cared for. You all are amazing! Hats off to Denys, Lisa, and Jennifer. My foster into adoption is going so smooth because of you guys. So knowledgeable and willing to share your knowledge with others. Seriously great work guys, you are an awesome team! Quick return calls and emails. Great hard working staff. They really DO care.

Pals helped me to adopt my sweet girl Stella! They made sure she had a safe place to live and that she was a good fit for my family by allowing us to foster her for a week before adoption. Pals drove over an hour to bring us Stella and for her meet and greet our other pup. They even helped me arrange to get her a giant dog kennel so that she would have a comfortable place to sleep. She came with all of her medical records up to date and was well care for at the shelter. They really care about the welfare of their animals. I can’t thank them enough!

PALS helped me find a pal for sure! I got to spend the time I need to find a cat that would fit our family and I really appreciated that. All of the volunteers were great and answered my questions and were so friendly - I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fuzzy little friend!

The ppl there are super friendly and Shelly , the office manager is at the vets every morning making sure all the animal friends are doing well. It's not public, you have to have an appointment but everyone looking for a dog or cat should definitely help the ppl out with adoptioning a pal. They need help too with cash bc they use it for their whole facility or even with volunteering! Or just dig out some old bedding or pick up some dog or cat food and bring it by!!!!

We were searching for a new dog to join our family. We spend a lot of time all together with our older dogs that still have spunk. We were open to a puppy or young dog that had shorter hair with medium activity level. We saw a few dogs we were interested in and inquired. Mekko/Jett caught our eye. And we went to visit and met Carol at PALS. We had a nice visit with him and learned more about Mekko/Jett and PALS process. Carol shared that she thought he would like balls to fetch. With ease in the same week we had a home visit with Jennifer who met our dogs. She gave great tips about slowly introducing the dogs. We adopted Jett on Friday evening/trial weekend. Jennifer checked in via text often for the next few days. Jett, over the last week, has fallen into our family with his puppy spirit! PALS was great, friendly and on top of things! At the adoption by Laura we were given food to transition him, a Nylabone for crate time and chewing which he loves. And Jett is a great fetcher! We look forward to camping, just being outdoors with him and watching him grow! We love our cattle dog!

We adopted big, handsome Murphy (aka Red) from PALS! They were very nice to work with. They are thorough in screening potential adopters, which I really appreciate. You can tell they really care for their animals. Even after getting him home PALS stays in contact with us to make sure everything is going well. I would highly recommend them.

They were quick to respond after I filled out the adoption application. They made it easy to set up a meeting with the pet I wanted. They were kind and friendly and helped us with any problems we may have came across. They even delivered my pet to my house for me. Would recommend if you are looking for a pet.

I absolutely LOVE this place!! When we were looking for a dog 4 years ago we visited PALS and the Humane Society, and at PALS they had a variety of different dog breeds and let us play with the dogs that we were interested in without having to fill out 3 applications. They're dogs are all taken very good care of, and I couldn't be happier with my Bernard. Thanks PALS for bringing us together!!

I am amazed at this place! They're clean, and kind, and very thorough when interviewing potential owners, which I appreciate so very much! Yes, it may seem like a long process, but they do it because they genuinely care about the animals that they have up for adoption. We've had TJ (Amini at PALS) for almost a month now, and they still get in touch to see how he's doing! Can't ask for better people!

I was hoping to adopt a cat from them since, from the pictures, its seemed like they had cats that would be perfect. I was asking around my work about this animal shelter and I was told from people who have looked into this place said don't go there/ I don’t recommend it. I still wanted to look into adopting a cat from them. I contact them, fill out the questions, no problem about that part at all. I get with animals you want to make sure they give animals to proper homes. I was trying to make an appointment and see if I was approved to get a cat. I get it takes time but I was in contact with a person and everytime I asked hey when can we get an appointment set up, i was told I’ll check. I always asked during buisness hours or did my best. After getting told Ill look to see what appointments me we have 3 times, 4 days, i was FINALLY told no because of my age. I get the age part but Im in the market to adopt a cat that suits my apartment best and would be my companion. I lost respect for them when they couldnt tell me that off the bat or at least the next day. Im still of legal age to adopt in missouri and woll be taking my buisness elsewhere. Pretty disappointed and dissatisfied with the customer service.

We adopted our kitten Purrcy from PALS. They are the cleanest and most welcoming shelter I have ever visited. Our kitten is 6 months old. He is very sociable and loving. He adapted quickly to our home and has become a great companion to our dogs. He was vetted fully and clean when we adopted. They kept in close contact with us to make sure we were doing ok. Their preadopt home visit gave us great tips and ideas to welcome him home.

We lost our beloved pit bull to cancer the day after Christmas. After having her on home hospice care for 6 months, her passing left a very empty space in our home and in our hearts. So, we decided to look at PALS website and found a pittie girl named Loca. After reading up on Loca, we found that she wasn't a good fit for us because we have other dogs. I just happened to see the posting on "Crease" who is a little Sharpei puppy girl. I contacted PALS and we were able to meet her. Of course, we fell in love so we fostered her until her spay was performed. PALS kept in touch with us on a regular basis and made sure we knew what times Crease (now called "Frannie") had to be at the vet, what the procedures were and when to finalize the adoption. During the foster period, we took her along to our vet for a "meet & greet" since our dogs were scheduled for their annual check-ups. At that time, my vet discovered that Frannie had a hernia--which could be repaired at the time of her spay. I let Jennifer know about it and offered to pay for the repair to be done during the spay. PALS took care of everything with respect to Frannie's spay and hernia repair. We finalized the adoption last night and are thrilled to have her back home. Everyone at PALS shows such love and caring for the animals they have rescued. In order for an adoption to be a forever home, it has to be a fit for both the animal and for the adopting family. PALS makes sure that it is the right home for the pet...and that the pet will fit with the family. I can't say enough good and kind things about PALS and how they are truly making a difference to these animals...and to the families who adopt them. This crazy little wrinkly girl has helped heal our broken hearts.

I adopted my sweet Teddy from Pals and I am so glad I did! I was welcomed with kind staff at the shelter. My paperwork was explained to me very well and the shelter has kept in contact to see how Teddy is adjusting. An all around fantastic experience!

We searched several shelters knowing we wanted a rescue puppy and from the beginning of the process, Pals was very helpful. Jennifer and staff was always responsive to any questions. I felt good that they would not release Lexie, to us, until they did a home visit. When they came for the visit they delivered our precious pup. From that point they stayed in contact with us through the fostering of three weeks before Lexie was spayed and we could sign the adoption papers. They are still in contact making sure our pup is doing well and answering any questions if we have them. I would recommend this shelter for anyone looking for a dog or cat to adopt.

One of the best adoption and shelters that I have ever seen and dealt with! They have a true caring for each animal and make sure each one is placed in a loving home. PALS is the only place that I will adopt from in the future and I can’t say enough good things about them!

We are very pleased and grateful to all who helped us at PALS Hawk Point, in matching us with our MinPin boy. They provided us with everything we needed to get him settled in with us. Also, they followed up with us several times to see how things were going, and ask if we needed anything . They provided us with info on his vaccinations, when due, and gave us his 1st month's heartworm preventive. I highly recommend this shelter, and plan to give them our support when able.
