The staff at the animal shelter made the process of adopting our new member of our home, "Whitney" a easy non chaotic thing. We love her so much that we are adopting another one. Becareful of this place, we filled out application after we found a very adorable cat. The Person who does the applications denied us because we have a three year old husky mix. Even though our dog has been raised around all kinds of animals. She said she didn't feel safe sending a cat to a house with a part husky in it, U can see by the photo just how dangerous my dog really is lol. Just don't understand this logic.

This is a shelter that truly cares about the animals. They were able to answer questions about the dogs I was looking at. Theyallowed me to bring my dog to meet the new family member before deciding to bring her home. Every member i met was kind. A great experience!

Very nice facility! They have an option to let you bring your fur babies to bathe at the facility and I absolutely LOVED it! It was easy to access and very clean!Thank you so much for allowing the public in to care for their babies!

I'm so thankful that my grand fur baby made it back home to me. I can't express enough of how kind, caring and loving the people at Northeast humane society were to Kita until I got there to pick her up. She's my whole world. As my son who passed away 3 and half years ago, as he was away from home as a United States Marine. He never made it back home to his family and his fur baby Kita. She's all I have. Thank you so very much NHS.GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!

I went there hoping to find my lost kitty. Unfortunately she wasnt there but I visited with the cats up for adoption. They were all well taken care of and friendly, and each one would make an excellent pet.The front desk staff was helpful.I also learned that you can bring any of your pets to them for neuter or spay at a reduced price that is very affordable. I encourage everyone to do this for your pets to reduce the nunber of stray cats on the street

They have reduced rates to spay/neuter your pet. Animals that get picked up by Animal Control (Hannibal Police Department) wind up here, the reason for my visit. I didnt find my lost kitty, but the staff were sympathetic and said they would keep an eye out for her, and call me if she came in. The pets offered for adoption were well cared for.

I adopted my cat, Calvin, from this amazing shelter in March of 2017. The people were so nice and I'm grateful they allowed me to come play with the cats and dogs on an almost daily basis. They deserve a lot more love! They do a wonderful job taking care of the animals, they deserve a bigger shelter itself. Haven't been here in a good while but I've always been welcomed warmly in this place. Love it!Calvin says he greatly appreciates how well he was taken care of from the time he came in as a stray til the time I finally got to bring him home. He's been the best cat ever by far! Thank you!

Have gotten several dogs here over the years, they have all been wonderful! Staff is very caring and does their best for all the animals. They welcome volunteers and always need donations. All animals are spayed or neutered before they can be adopted. Part of the wonderful puppies on parole program!! Come and save a life when you need to add a loving member to your family!!

That's a humble place but their love for Animals big and small feathered and scaled. I have rescue pets here since I was a child. I'm excited to announce that the Northeast Missouri Humane Society in Hannibal Missouri is moving to a new location on the corner of Veterans Road and Paris gravel in Hannibal Missouri. Hopefully they will be there by the end of July or sooner. I hope everyone comes by to visit. It's been over 38 years since they've had a new facility and I'm looking forward to visiting and adopting a pet for my new apartment. I have my fingers crossed for a little dog under 20 lb that will grow no larger than 18 inches high and that weight. Wish me luck!

The most friendly, animal loving people I have had the pleasure to meet. I took my almost 17 year old terrier to them to be cremated. They let me carry him all the way back to the crematorium and explained the procedure. They even cremated his blanky with him. It was a hard day and they cried with me and talked with me. The best!!!!

I would not take my worst enemy to this place. They lie and are totally unorganized. Who wants to be introduced to a pet and come back multiple times. Bond with that animal only to find out there is an application already on it and you cant have it.

Great people and volunteers working here to find dogs and cats great homes. You can Foster for a week to see how it works and adopt if it works out or go by and walk and hang out with some animals that just need some love they deserve. Some great people at work here doing things they should be proud of. Wish there were more people like you

They do not take care of these animals,will make u pay an arm and a leg for one that isn't even housebroke. Very shady service. They leave these dogs in kennels all day causing them to become untrained was not happy to find out after I bought a couple dogs from them that they may or may not be housebroke. If y'all want a good and decent priced dog go to St Charles animal control they never lied or disappointed me.

Horrible Place! We ended up having to give up the Dog we got from them, bc it almost Bit an infant. Come to find out they STRAIGHT OUT LIED about its Pedigree to us! Upon having it tested by a Local Vet he even said that this Dog was not anywhere close to the Breed they put on the paperwork!! They are Liars and Cheats and know nothing about animals!DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!OH TO BOOT, BC WE HAD TO TURN THE DOG OVER WE WENT AND TRIED TO GET ANOTHER DOG MORE SUITED FOR US and WERE TOLD WE COULD NEVER GET A PET FROM THEM AGAIN(Like it was our fault, they wouldn't even take responsibility for their own Screwups) Bc WE GAVE THE DOG UP!!!

No one ever answers the phone or provides a call back. Been calling for information on a dog for almost 2 weeks now and no response. Definitely don’t think the have the animals best interest at heart

This place STINKS! The dog we were going to foster was very skinny and had kennel cough. Whoever has jurisdiction over this place needs to review the personnel and budget, it really really needs help! Horrible place and the poor animals. I would be ashamed to be associated with this place.
