We really enjoyed this campground. We stayed 2 nights and had full hook up. We got a discount for the cave tour since we were staying in the campground. They had a really nice store with camping and souvenir items. The restrooms in the store and in the campground were clean and nice. My 13 year son liked the small bike trail. Nice pavilion and playgrounds too.Nearby activities: The winery is within walking distance. Mark Twain activities, shopping, and food choices were 5 minutes away.Safety: We had no concerns staying here.Walkability: You could easily walk the entire campground and to the store.

We did the Mark Twain Tour and the Cameron cave tour. Both were amazing. Karli gave us a great tour of Mark Twain cave with some very cool facts of the man himself and then Max gave us an incredibly informative tour of Cameron’s cave. Both tours just happened to only have us on it so it was very nice and private. We will definitely come back to do the adventure tour cave when we have the chance.

We were at the campground, which as easy to locate. I can't recommend this place highly enough! We were greeted with a cupcake, along with all the instructions for the laundry, showers, wifi, etc . . . . We were escorted to our site (unheard of, right?), & treated like welcomed guests. Picnic tables & chairs were new. they've clearly put a lot of work into making this a top-notch location. We were just passing through, but have decided to make plans for a weekend trip to go back & enjoy all the offerings in the area!

We stayed at the campground. Our time was limited so we chose Cameron cave. Our tour guide was awesome. Probably the coolest part was flashlights only. If we ever get back we will definitely visit the Mark Twain Cave for historical reasons. Expect to spend at least $80 for a family of four. Yes, I would do it again.

We toured Mark Twain Cave with our homeschool group. The staff was friendly to work with and made planning our trip easy. Our tour guide, Bobbi, was hilarious and she was very accommodating for our large group. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Our group of kids 1 yrs old-6th grade all really enjoyed themselves. Highly recommend & well done tours full of history & humor.Safety: Bobbi kept us well informed if we were nearing any areas that could be slick, but they were rare & still easy to walk through.Walkability: Narrow passages at times through the cave, but no one in our 40+ person group had any trouble navigating through.

We stayed in Hannibal for a few days focusing on Mark Twain and his writings. We took our whole family on a tour of Mark Twain's cave- with an age range from 4 years to 77! Every person had a phenomenal time. Bobbi, our tour guide, was attentive, informed, and funny! She went at a great pace and really made it a great time (my son is a big Tom Sawyer enthusiast and she made his day with stories and questions!)We each thought it was well worth the money and a highlight of our trip! Thank you Bobbi!!

We camped very clean campsites, rest rooms were very clean. We had a campsite and wanted more room with them not being at full capacity we was able to move to upgrade to a bigger campsite. If you are looking for a weekend get away highly recommend.Went on Cave Tourit was very nice afterwards we hit the winery!

The cave was great as always. The renovation to the building was good. Brought 5 children and bought each child a gift in the gift shop. We expressed our concern about the products being sold in the candy and food section that had curse words as the product name. It is very disappointing to see that in a family friendly setting. Multiple schools come here for field trips each year. We hope they take our advice and remove those products. We spent $200 there today. If we see them there when we come back, we will not return.

Our first visit to the cave and our tour guide Bobby was fantastic! She had great information about the cave and it's history and knew some pretty good dad jokes. Highly recommended tour. We will definitely be coming back.

Went with my partner and had a great time! The tour guide Bobbi was super interactive and made sure everyone felt okay. We had one person with claustrophobia, one with a hip replacement, and myself with vision problems. Bobbi made sure we all had fun and were okay. Overall great experience!Watch your head!

Warning: Not for children. We were in the back of the line and could not hear the guide, so our kids chattered. I guess because of some cave sound dynamic this made it difficult for people in the front to hear. The tour guide waited until the end of the tour and in front of everyone told us we “need to learn to control our children. It is common courtesy.” So: we paid $150 for a set up in which no one told us our kids’ voices were reverberating loudly and the guide, with great enjoyment, publicly embarrassed us when it was too late to do anything. Horrible experience.

Winery was closed. Only open Saturdays. Mark Twain reenactor was not there. Cave tour ended at 4 pm. We were asked if we wanted to park near the front of the park instead of where we had our reservation because the limestone they were installing might cause rust? We chose to keep our spot. We were visited immediately by a semi which dumped rock in the campsite next to us. It did not dump anywhere else in the park despite the fact the sites were empty. Our spot was a mudhole. Perhaps with better communication we could have moved somewhere else. Park was attractive and seemed like it would be fun if more things were open.Nearby activities: Hannibal is a cool town. Much to see and do.

Loved this campground! Site was level, area was clean and roomy. Staff was friendly and price was reasonable. When we arrived a clear and defined map was given. Easy to understand and follow. The timing of the cave tours worked well with checking out. They even offered parking in main lot if we wanted to tour more before we headed out.Nearby activities: Mark Twain caves and wineryWalkability: Caves, winery and main town

The Mark Twain and Cameron Caves were amazing! Jackson was our tour guide and he did a great job. Bobbi was our tour guide for the Trolley Tour and she was so wonderful: the passion she put into telling us about Hannibal and the way she remembered us hours later when we took the trolley back into town made us feel really special. These caves and the tours are an absolute MUST if you visit Hannibal. You will not regret it. The Mark Twain cave is family friendly and all lit up while the Cameron cave is much more suited for adults, longer of a tour, and you explore it all via flashlights!

Peter did a great job! He was very knowledgeable and humorous throughout the entire experience of Cameron Cave! Thanks for being open in March! Glad we didn't miss it!Safety: Very safe if you pay attention and follow instructions.Walkability: Light ramps and a stoop or two. But worth it

If you came to town to visit the Mark Twain Boyhood Home, take some time to visit the Mark Twain Cave located about 5 minutes outside of town.Your ticket will get you a guided tour through the cave that inspired the Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Our tour guide, David, did an excellent job of explaining the history of the cave, how it was discovered, and relating scenes in the story to the natural features found in the cave. The tour lasts an hour, and is well worth the money. Be sure to see the Samuel Clemens signature! The walk is fairly moderate. There are a few tight squeezes and there are handrails to help prevent slippage. This stop would be perfect if you're interested in local history, literature, and information relating to the scouting movement (take the tour and you'll learn the connection).

Great place to camp while visiting Hannibal. Camp staff are awesome and great guides on the cave tours.Nearby activities: Mark Twain everything is awesome. The steamboat ride is a must. But save a day or two for the cave tours, the guides and the caves were most excellent.

We went through both caves on our visit (Mark Twain and Cameron) and had a great experience both times. Our guide through the Mark Twain cave was Ace. He was great and had a lot of anecdotes about the cave. There were only 3 of us on the Cameron cave tour and our guide on that one was Max. He was also a great guide. He was knowledgeable about the cave and its history and was willing to answer questions. We were given flashlights as this cave is without electricity which added to the adventure. There was one area where we could crawl through a little area (I think Max called it the bear den). He also gave some quick directions and asked if anyone wanted to be the guide through that. It was only maybe 20 feet but was fun. Max was encouraging when I got to a turn and was debating if that was the right path. Overall a great experience and we're already talking about going back and going through them again. The gift shop staff were also great. Their card readers were down but they allowed us to go on the Mark Twain cave tour anyway (it's was getting ready to leave) and just asked us to stop back when we were finished to pay for that.

I was there for a FMCA Gateway Getaways rally. My company Sparkle RV Services attends rallys to offer services. The campground was excellent. Lots of trees and nature so you still felt like you were camping but close to downtown Hannibal and all the activities there and of course the campground has activities like the cave tour. The pavilion was great for our groups gathering. I would definitely camp there again.

The cave tour was phenomenal. Ms. Bobbi (hope I spelled that right) was a wonderful storyteller and guide and made the entire experience great for my family.
