Such a great place to go. It’s free and so many things to do. You could spend several hours exploring and seeing the animals. My toddler loved the tunnels on the second floor of the barn. They had lots of things to learn and see while there. They have several different activities to see through out the day. The incredible dog show is a favorite of ours.

We took our Boy Scout Troop to Purina Farms. The boys had a blast and didn't want to leave. We milked a cow, took a tractor ride around the entire property, learned about the animals and their care, saw a 30 minute dog trick Frisbee show, checked out and played with the dogs and cats they have for adoption. What a great afternoon! They also have a huge RV camping lot, complete with hookups where you can camp on their property. We're going back in December and they decorate Purina Farms in Christmas decor and lights and you can visit Santa for a photo op, play games, face painting and ride a train.Thank you Purina Farms for such a cool experience.

So much more perfect for toddlers than I could have ever imagined! (And free! You know, in case they just aren't feeling an outing that day even though you put blood sweat and tears into getting them out of the house!) It was clean and there was a lot for them to do including sensory bins with corn, riding pedal tractors, a magnet wall, animal petting, large tractor ride, and the dog show. The lunch was delicious and affordable. Every employee we encountered was so kind and friendly. We will definitely be back!

I have never been here before yesterday (9/30/23), and I have never seen a better run, laid out, organized, enjoyable for animals and people at a similar event, any place else in the country. The people were friendly, they had a concession stand, the AC was cranking, they had their big annual Dog Show.I was at the outside facility where that recorded and televised the "Dog Olympics" aka Purina Incredible Dog Challenge. Deck Diving, Jack Russel Races, Agility, and Freestyle show. All the handlers were phenomenal, friendly, shared stories, gave hints and tips. There were two ladies who came from Israel and one came from Lebanon to compete.

Had TONS of fun at Purina Farms. We petted animals, milked a cow, and got to play all over. The dog show was an absolute blast. My girls (3 and 5) loved watching the little dogs run around. We even got to do the wagon ride and see just about everywhere at Purina. It was so much fun and I can't wait until we have another opportunity to go again!

Great place for family fun. My family members, a group of 27 aged 65-8 yrs, went and had a great time. The dog show was outstanding. The dog trainers and their dogs put on an outstanding show. There is something for everyone. And the price of parking and admission is FREE. Well worth the drive. The staff was great.

The Ultimate Dog championships were great. Lots of dogs competing and walking around. Food trucks and various vendors. We brought our own food and drinks. Admission was $5 for parking. Definitely doing this event next year.

I visited Purina Farms for a dock diving event. The campus is beautiful and there are well placed signs at the crossroads. Even when I got lost I was able to enter the event center and find some employees who gave me directions. Excited to go again in the future!

2nd time here! We came in 2016 and decided to come again to take our 4 year old this time. Definitely a cool place to go to. Parking is free. Shows are free. Milking a cow is free. Tractor ride around the place is free. We came on a Saturday morning around the time they opened, and it wasn’t busy at all. We spent about 3 hours here. Tons of stuff for any child at any age to do here. Would definitely recommend.

It's free and dog friendly. Mask required. Fun and easy way to kill a couple hours. Has a fenced in area where you can take your dog off-leash. There were lots of children running around unattended.

Wonderful family outing. It is 100% free -- no admission or parking fees. Every type of farm animal is there to show the tots; they can pet most of them and watch a cow being milked. You can even take a hay ride. And of course there are plenty of pups and kitties (looking for new homes). The highlight is the dog show with trained pooches running obstacle courses, catching frisbees, and diving into the pool. LOTS of fun for animal lovers. Purina has a strict mask policy: 100% masking of everyone except little ones, indoors AND outside, at all times (unless eating).

We held my daughter's 5th birthday party at Purina Farms on May 4th, 2024. I didn't know what to expect. The booking process was simple. I called & left a message with the person who was in charge of booking. She went over the party package & sent me the plan through email. I had a few options to figure out. They took care of everything. Up on arrival, we stopped at the front gate. My husband & I told him we were there for our daughter s birthday. He immediately knew our daughters name & wished her happy birthday as we rolled down the back window. He gave us perfect directions of where our party would be. We drove to the Pavilion and met Jessica our party host. She introduced herself & told us everything was set up and tables were wiped & was ready for set up. We were impressed and shocked. The whole time I pictured being under the huge tent on the patio, and just pulled up to a private Pavillion with yard games set up spaced out was a plus. The amount of games provided was a good amount. Our daughter ran up to play while we set things up. Closer to party time, Jessica went over party time line. Jessica checked on our food for us also. Upon guests arriving, I asked them if they found the Pavilion alright. Everyone said the guy at the front gate was super helpful with the directions to the Pavilion. The party ran smooth as the children ran straight to the games. The food came out on time. We ordered a combo of hotdogs & chicken nuggets & was brought a cooler of bottled water which is what we ordered. There was a basket full of condiments provided. After eating. I initiated a tug of war game while my husband got the cupcakes ready. We sang happy birthday and played some more. Waiting for the next activity, I asked Jessica if we could move our wagon ride to before the cow milking demonstration instead of at the end of the party because I felt like the guests would leave after the dog show. Jessica got on it to find out If it would be possible. In the next few mins an empty tractor came to pick us up. We got all of the kids on & a few parents. The tractor took us around the Purina campus as Jessica was giving a rundown of the area. As we pulled up to the Pavilion, we got ready to go see the cow milking in the barn.Jessica lead us to the area. She told us about the cows that were outside in their pen. Everyone got a chance to milk the cow that wanted to. We had a little time before the dog show so we decided to play in the barn. Jessica headed over to save our spot for the party at the dog show. The children seemed to love the barn with the car/train table, the Sensory tables, the tunnels and the hay rope swing & more. We then headed to the dog show, where a section was saved by Jessica so we all could sit together. The announcer for the show announced my daughter's birthday. She gave her a water bottle and a signed Frisbee. The dog show lasted about 30 Mins. Meanwhile, Jessica headed over to the Pavillion to put away the games. The dog show was very neat and fun. After, the guests were able to hang out on their own or head home. When we arrived back to the Pavilion, we found the Jessica cleaned up everything and took our decorations down for us and packed them in our box and left a present from Purina Farms on the table for the birthday girl. All we had to do was take down one happy birthday banner & pack the boxes in the car. All of the guests had nothing but great things to say and I was told by each guest that it was a wonderful and fantastic party and everyone enjoyed it & the activities. Thank you to Jessica for a fun smooth party & being a wonderful host and the guy at the front gate for the fabulous directions given to each guest. Also, to Purina farms staff that helped, plan, set up, cook the food and make sure everything was in order for the party. It was a wonderful party and we really enjoyed having a party with Purina Farms and would recommend to others with younger children.. We will be back to visit.

Geared for children, this is a good place for adults as well. Very educational displays and exhibits. These Photos are from the 2018 "Howl-O-Ween" event at the farms. There are many other events, including major dog shows throughout the year.

I took my God daughter to Purina Farms this past Saturday for their Halloween event and we had a blast. We played some awesome games and won prizes. We rode the hayride through a part of the farm which is very beautiful land. We were in an actual wagon. It was very fun. We rode the small train and yes, they let me ride too. What can I say I'm a big kid as well. My God daughter ride the ponies twice and she loved it as it was her first time doing so. Then we went to the barn and petted all the animals. There were pigs, horses, cows, sheep, chickens, rabbits...all types of big and small. We went upstairs to the haunted haylofts which were very kid friendly. There are climbing ropes as well as tunnels for the kids to crawl and play in. Right next to this play area there were arts and crafts tables for the kids to create a trick or treat bag and then at the end get some candy. There were other kid friendly games in that area as well as some awesome face painters. They even did some paintings with glitter. There was a cost for the face painting between $5-15. I could be a little off with the prices, but they weren't a bad price for the beautiful art. There was also an awesome dog show going on where the dogs ran through obstacle courses. This was awesome to see as those dogs are very smart and well trained. We went into a house on grounds that also featured dogs and cats for adoption. They were awesome and let you pet them as well. Of course I had to take all the pics I could with the Halloween themed backgrounds and scenes they nicely decorated. They had some fun bounce houses for the kids to play in as well. They had someone there making cute balloon art as well for the kiddos and my God daughter had a cute princess wand made. We also visited the Visitors Center where they have an awesome gift shop, fun foods and snacks as well as photo opportunities with the princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Spider Man. That was awesome. Purina Farms is having this Halloween event again next weekend and all kids, big and small, would enjoy. The kiddos can wear their costumes as well. It's a very fun and activity filled place to have some Halloween fun. There is an entry charge of $15 per vehicle to enter the grounds, but all activities are free of charge besides the face painting, carriage ride and food/snacks. I forgot to mention they did have horse drawn carriages for families to ride along the grounds. There is a cost, but I am unsure of that price. There was no cost for the regular hayride. If you're able to go to this event next weekend do go and enjoy. Ohhh we also bought some tasty kettle corn. I got Chicago style while she got a rainbow colored kettle corn. They even let you sample the 4 flavors available. Go and enjoy y'all. I almost forgot the cemetery. There's a small cemetery with headstones of the family who actually we're the land owners before Purina bought the property. I thought it was part of the Halloween decor, but it's not. I did take a few pictures of the families burial section as well. Some of the headstones were very old in the 1800's. I always love learning about the place that I'm going and this was no exception. You'll see the family history plaque in the pictures.

A spontaneous visit to Purina Farms whilst on a road trip. Good for kids, adults, and adults acting like children. A pretty setting in Missouri countryside. Pet friendly site. Canine agility presentations throughout the day. Nice facilities, a store, snack shop, and a big event center. Options to adopt a pet while there too. I’m a firmly advocate adopting two cats at a given time ~ siblings preferably. We will visit again.
