I love this place. Looks small but when you get inside it’s so cute and there is patio outside seating as well in the back. We got their big chief burger, Malibu chicken sandwiches, and fries. Everything was delicious!!! I could have eaten just a huge basket of those fries…but then I would have been missing out on that amazing burger. We will be coming back for the food, but also, the young girl at the counter was super friendly and helpful with this being our first time there. We drove about twenty to thirty minutes to try it out after seeing it featured in the Missouri magazine. So happy we did!

Last time I drove 40 minutes out to Taboo they were closed by 6.. online said open till 8. We got there at 6:06. 😑 We went back that weekend & the teen who served us didn’t say welcome in, how’s it going, nothing. When we said thank you after ordering she didn’t say anything just walked off. I’ve been coming here since 2017-2018 when they opened. Used to love this place! Plus side is the food is still good.

5 Stars for restaurant, food and service. Down side is limited parking and indoor seating. They do have outdoor dining area in back to help with that. This is my favorite burger place. I have tried several sandwiches from Taboo. Best burger definitely around the lake. Maybe ever. My favorite is the Nightmare burger. Prices are spot on for food served. If you are craving a good burger or sandwich check this place out. Will not regret it. They do have salad bar and soup I believe.

Decent food but way too expensive for what you get. I got a single bacon cheese burger and pickle fries no drink and it was $18. I did a carry out order and was hung up on before I could ask for the price and how long to expect the food to be ready. I asked for an extra tub of ranch. I asked if there were two tubs of ranch before leaving the shop. They forgot the extra ranch. Okay experience

Had the mahkuna mattata (sp?) Burger. Lol. Mushroom Swiss burger with bacon, mayo and lettuce with fries ($3 extra). Delicious is all I can say. Will be back for sure.Parking: If super busy parking will be a challenge.

Ate here while visiting the lakes. All of the food was excellent! We had the veggie sandwich and grilled cheese and an assortment of sides and we very much enjoyed all of it. The fries had a nice crisp, and the onion rings were the perfect ratio of crunchy batter the onion. If we visit this area again or are even just passing through, we will definitely be coming back!Vegetarian options: The veggie patty was excellent. We had it on the default veggie menu item and it went well with those toppings, but I am sure it would have complemented any of the other burger options well.

We wanted a local place with delicious food while we were in town. We are hard to please with 6 of us. They made everyone of us very happy! From hamburger, chicken sandwiches, and hotdogs there was lots of variety for everyone in our group to find something . We all thought our food was delicious. All six of us got fresh hot food! We have never had fries that were more fresh. The service was fantastic! Our server that served everyone inside and out was a rockstar! We are so glad we found Taboo! Thank you!

This place has been here for many years now as far as I'm aware, and we've just kept driving by it. I have no idea why. This place is super cool and has an awesome menu of many excellent burgers, sandwiches, shakes/malts, & probably some other stuff. Really big menu, something for everybody. Two of us split a Bleu burger (HUGE patty!), a "western" (sans grilled onions, I added fried onion rings instead to make what this westerner knows as a "western"), and a plain ol' cheeseburger. All of it was fantastic & service was great, even though we arrived very near closing time. I'll be frequenting this place in-season for as long as it's here & I hope it's forever. Love the outdoor seating area and fenced off dog park hiding out back!

Not your fast food burger!!Chose from a large selection of delicious handmade, single, double, even quadruple burgers !The Blue Burger is my favorite!Small selection of sandwiches, soup, salad bar, sides are limited. Children's menu.Small but comfortable and pleasant dine in area. Outdoor seating available.Staff is pleasant and attentive.Forgot to mention ice cream and shakes/malts.Definitely THE place when you're craving a real burger.Parking: Parking is limited but, adequate.

We came in to get some ice cream and it was great. I spent about 10.50 or something for a GIANT thing of ice cream called the silver back. It's a bunch of different flavors all in a giant container, good for a group with easily 5+.

Been going for the past year now, it’s safe to say I can leave a review accordingly now!Food is fantastic! Prices are just right for the amount you receive. Me and the girls were able to split a burger because of how big they are.Consistency is key and this establishment has it.We always got the choc malt and by far the sweet pregnant server made it the best.Haven’t see her but will say all of the staff is usually welcoming! The building is clean.Went in last week and they were short handed so it took a little longer for our food and the server seemed very overwhelmed. We will stick it through with this place just because of the yum food.

They don't compromise on ingredients. Everything on the menu is exquisite. I enjoy the Positive Vibes while eating the BEST Burgers at this lake. I've never been disappointed! Great Job and Mahalo 🌊🤙

So many fun burger options. I went for just a regular cheese burger today but loved that I could make my own side salad instead of ordering fries. My daughter had a breakfast sandwich on a glazed doughnut. It looked good. Even though it looks like a quaint little place, there is plenty of seating inside or out.

Terrible! Special was $9.99 for burger side and drink. I ordered the special . 4 Burgers fries and sprites. Charged me $12 for each saying fries were $3 more it came with chips. Even tho it didn’t state chips and I also said I wanted the special. Didn’t realize what she had charged me which was $52.98 until the guy who ordered after me said something and threw a fit and left did I notice the charge. I asked if she could just refund me the difference also considering the drink machine was broke and I wasn’t able to get a drink in to which she said the drink was free anyways.. the canceled the whole order instead of just refunding the difference now I have to wait another 4-5 for refund to go back thru and had to repay $39.58 … waited for about 25 min for 4 burgers . Only two other customers in the place which is ok and I know staffing is hard right now but the burgers were not good and 2 out of 4 of us have a stomach ache. I’d say find another spot to have a burger! FYI… I never leave a review unless it’s horrible or super good…!!! This was review was worth leaving!!

Fun atmosphere. Great service, and lots of selection. They use high quality ingredients, but the end result for me is just mediocre. The patties on the burgers are pretty bland, and it’s just not saved enough by the higher quality bun or toppings. For $9 for a burger, it’s got to at least come close to a Five Guys in terms of overall taste.
