My wife and I had a fantastic stay at this cute little boutique resort. The rooms are clean and have additional amenities. The resort owner checks you in and gives you a choice of cold beverage. It's close to a few good bbq spots and very near Coconuts and some other great locations. Cannot say enough good things about these people.Noteworthy details: Extremely hospitable staff.

My husband and I came down to ride our quads at the LOTO, and the gentleman there recommended Drop Anchor. We called, and Tammy was super friendly, and easy to talk to. We reserved our room via the phone, and it was all ready when we arrived a few days later. Upon arrival, we were greeted outdoors by the owners, and quickly shown our room, which was lovely. They allowed us to park our truck and trailer on the property, and we asked to change rooms to be a bit closer to the trailer. We ended up in Cabin 9, which was perfect. The decor made us feel like we were at the beach (which we love), and a good chunk of the windows overlooked the creek. It was so pretty! There were kayaks we could take out, and there was ample water fowl to keep us entertained. We mentioned we were going to stay in for the night, and Tammy came over with a bag of homemade ChexMix, because she didn’t want us to be hungry. Talk about sincere and quality service! After mostly staying in chain hotels, we were blown away. She and her husband were delightful, and we can’t wait to come back!Rooms: The single room we were going to stay in was super cute, and laid out very well. The cabin was a lot bigger than we were expecting, and was so nice. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs, and the couch and bed were comfy.Nearby activities: The LOOP and the LOTO were close, as well as the Lake. There was a small but nice pool at the resort, and a sturdy dock with a welcoming bench situated behind a couple fishing pole supports. The creek was clear and cool (thanks to the spring upstream) and ran into the Lake.Safety: While this is on what I think is a main road, it sits far enough off that you really don’t notice. It was well lit, and the surrounding area felt safe.

When traveling on MC Trikes we prefer mom and pop type motels for easy access to the trikes. We were greeted, given a cold beer/pop. Tami took us to our rooms and showed us around the property. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. The pool and grounds are well kept and decorated nicely. We visited with Tami and Richard as well as other guests there in the evening. We loved our time there!!

Super great location. Very clean rooms. Comfortable beds. The pool was very clean. Tami the owner was very easy to work with. Asked if we needed anything at all. For a older motel there has been a lot of updates. Stayed in rooms 5 and 6. Room 5 has a nice kitchen area with everything you need. The rooms are nicely painted and nice decorations to match the lake area. The pool is fenced and has locking gate to make it safe with kids. There is a dock near by for fishing too. I would recommend Drop Anchor Resort and Motel and would stay there again. Also, the internet speed is great there too!Rooms: The rooms are large and comfortable beds. Fresh paint. Very clean. Nicely decorated.Nearby activities: Lake access just across the road.Walkability: Can easily walk to several places to get food, or to see the Lake.

Upon check in , Tami, the owner, greeted us with a cold beverage. This was a perfect start to a perfect stay at the Drop Anchor. The room was very clean and comfortable, the grounds were very relaxing including a stream next to the motel where we sat on a bench on the dock and watched the fish swim by as we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. We are glad that our friends recommended this place. We will definitely stay here again.

I love this place! It is home away from home! The owners are amazing and treat you like family. The property is well maintained and beautiful and peaceful. The pool is great and fenced in. The new Pavillion by the pool is awesome and has lighting and fans with firepit. The beds are very comfortable. The cabin we stay in is equipped with everything you need. ❤️ Love this resort and look forward to our next stay.

We stayed 2 nights while we were attending the Jacob's cave swap meet in spring 2021. Great hotel right on the lake. The owners were super nice. Room was clean and quiet with good beds and shower. Gas station, bait shop, diner and pizza place all right near the hotel. We will definitely be staying again next time we are in the area. Thanks Richard and Tami!

We stayed here in 2020 and 2021 and plan on staying again. The owners treat you like family, greet you by name when they see you, make awesome recommendations, and are just all around nice and inviting people. The rooms are well kept, the property is well maintaned (we have never used the pool but its clean and fenced in) the dock provides a nice place to relax, with a fire pit and wood nearby, they also have kayaks available that you can use... the property sits on a creek that feeds into a "pond" before traveling under a bridge/road and into the main lake, meaning your secluded from the traffic of the lake, but its easily accessible... with a public boat/fishing access practically across the street. Food and entertainment can be found minutes away..

We had 3 rooms booked for my daughters bachelorette weekend. We were met with a drink by Tami upon our arrival. Rooms are clean and very roomy! The ambience makes you feel like you’re staying in a guest room rather than a motel with each one differently decorated. Richard and Tami are great people and we’re always checking to make sure we had what we needed...even offered rides so we didn’t have to drive to a nearby bar. Frankie & Louie’s, Coconuts, several other bars are within a 15 minute drive however there is a pool and lake access right at the motel. We will be back!!

At the last minute Tami (owner of The Drop Anchor Inn)was able to help my Dad sister and me with a very spacious clean room. Tami even helped by calling to help us find other accommodations.(there was no vacancy past our one day)In addition to the obvious swimming pool that was very well taken care of, there’s a bbq pit for grilling out!We had twelve relatives in town from Trenton Mo. to Wichita Ks.Every single one of them were not at a place where they could fish out their door.😟 They didn’t have their own kitchen either.😞 Next year everyone knows that we have to make reservations well ahead of time to really get what we like. Kitchen . Fishing. Swimming. Boating. Grilling. Pizza next door, or BBQ across the street next to the gas station. Really beautiful location.

Immaculate upkeep and cleaning all around.Situated right on the head/mouth of these breathtaking great lakes, this location is not only wallet-friendly but has almost every amenity desired. Not just your grandma's idea of perfection, but it easily could be. Complimentary kindness from time of arrival. You need it, chances are, Tami's already thought of it.They'll even leave the lights on for you!

Staff was very nice and extremely informative about area and events going on. Had lots of great perks such as outdoor pool, fire pit with split wood ready, lake front access that you can fish and rent kayaks to enjoy. Rooms were recently painted and were very inviting. New mattress that were very comfortable. Had free wifi available and even Netflix on TV. Had menus for restaurants that were in walking distance for easy meal planning. Dollar General is not far for all forgotten items you needs. Has bar and tattoo shop extremely close for anyone who wants to go out and have some fun too. I highly recommend staying here. I will definitely be back had a blast on my visit. Please be advised they do not allow pets but luck was on my side due to that fact since that's how I found my diamond in the rough. Due to someone not being considerate enough to ask ahead of time about pet restrictions.

I guess if you are from out of town you're OK. She (Tammy) does not like local people. If you are staying in Gravois highly recommended the water edge much friendly/professional service. Charge my credit card then told me she could not rent a room because my son was 18 after I told her it was going to be just him and his girlfriend. Then " refunded " my money back witch when I checked my credit card its saying that I was charged twice. C/c company told me to give it 48 hours. Who knows

My brother and I had the pleasure of staying at the Drop Anchor when we were in town for the annual Shootout Boat races. The new owners Tammy and Richard are the best people you will meet. Very accommodating and friendly. They even offered to take and pick us up from the local Coconuts Bar and Grill after we had too much to drink! The new improvements they have made since they have taken it over are great. We will definitely be staying at the Drop Anchor next time we are in the area!

This was a very sweet place. One of the few open that late in the season, on Lake of the Ozarks. The owners were very friendly. Allowing us to use their private phone, when ours wouldn't get reception there. Also I accidently forgot my drink cup. We went back immediately & she had placed it on an outdoor table and sent us a text letting us know.I have one suggestion that I don't know how to post privately. The rooms smelled a bit musty. Febreeze or another odor eliminator will work. Two applications on a neighbor's carpeting really worked for her.

We felt like we were home away from home! Warm welcome & friendly environment. Plenty to do, alot of entertainment for the kids and adults. Swimming, fishing, kayaks, firepit, grilling on the deck. Perfect experience!

Considering this is a resort area, price is OK, and location is good. There is a pool, you can fish from the bank right there or walk across the road where catfish were being caught earlier today. There are a cafe and a small neighborhood bar within easy walking distance. Ducks can be seen walking the property. The place is kept tidy. I would come back without any qualms.

Very nice place to stay. Close to the water. Room was clean and fresh. Pool was being renovated. Wifi wasn't the best in the room we had, but otherwise, we had a great time. We have stayed several times over the years and always the nicest, friendliest people. Will stay many more times to come. ********
