The food, I thought, was pretty good. I had the Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich and fried potato salad (which was different). I could taste the Carolina flavor. Service was great. Great time with the kids on my birthday!

Good smokey flavor friendly atmosphere, more poultry than I'm used to on most Barbecue menus. Worth checking out!!Wow their 10-42 cheese burger is excellent and definitely hit the spot.Taco Tuesday excellent addition pulled pork or beef. Pulled pork were fanominal.Parking: The have plenty of parking. It's part paved and some gravel but it's all flat.Kid-friendliness: Very kids friendly until after 9 on Friday and Saturday only.

Came here with my grandparents for dinner. We sat outside as it was nice out. I had the ribs. They had grilled cheese brisket and Carolina pulled pork. We also had the fried potatoes salad all of which were really good. But the best thing about the place was the waitress. She was funny and very kind. Will be returning

Fried green beans were good. Brisket tasted like pot roast and had zero flavor. Pulled pork wasn’t much better. The cheesy creamed corn was just milk and corn. No seasonings. Potato salad was weird. Coleslaw was just cabbage and vinegar. No sugar, no seasonings.

I got the Carolina Pulled Pork. The coleslaw that comes on it was the best I've ever had (definitely not the sweet, gross, white stuff your relatives insist on bringing to every family event), and together with the pork and bun, it created a very rounded flavor profile that was a little sweet from the yellow bun, a little sharp from the coleslaw, and was married together with the flavor and tenderness of the pork. The curly fries were cut and made in-house. They were very much "like grandma used to make" and definitely lacked the oh-so-loved "frozen in a plastic sack" taste. As for the service, our server was either the owner or a manager and was very pleasant and considerate, checked on us often, and didn't take forever in bringing a high chair for my daughter. The guy who came to rake some leaves around the outside dining area (where we asked to sit) was both friendly and polite as if we had been neighbors for a while, but also not intrusive. This will be my family's go-to whenever we are adventuring around the area. Great stop. No regrets. Eat here.

This place has great meat, but the sides are not very good at all, Bake Beans are to dry, Cheesy Corn way to dry, and the slaw is not good it is vinegar based which is ok but taste like they just poured straight vinegar from the bottle on the slaw, no other seasoning, way to STRONG. The service was wonderful this was a to go order. If they had alot better sides I think this place would be booming.

The beer was cold! Smoked meats were good and the sweet sauce I tasted was good, the sides not so much (you could tell they were assembled and cooked on a per person basis -- beans, cheesy potatoes, cheesy corn did not have that homemade taste). There is a pool table, ample seating and bar stools with backs. Service was great! They were out of wings, on a Friday (which we would've torn UP!) so doesn't seem planned well. But, as a dispatcher, and soon to be 10-42 myself (or 10-7 in my group), I would definitely be back again!!

Went there tonight with friends. Great service and very friendly atmosphere. Decent amount of choices of barbecue and daily specials. Most chose the daily special, burnt ends, and were pleased. Two chose the fried potato salad as their side and thought it was great. I chose the fried pickles appetizer as my meal since I'm not a huge meat fan. Have to say, hands down, the BEST FRIED PICKLES EVER! They make and batter them onsite. They slice the pickles extremely thin and then use a very light, crispy batter. Unbelievable. All of us will eat there again.

First time here and I will surely be back! I opted to go for the Brisket dinner with the beans and fried potato salad at the recommendation by the main man David and it did not disappoint. Their fried pickles with the pickle sauce was great to start with and the drinks from the bar were made very well. Great atmosphere with law enforcement decor and a wall of patches from all of the services. Bring a patch and leave your mark! Oh and their ribs!! Fall off the bone delicious!

After taking the pulled pork and ribs home I was so happy I found a good BBQ place. Vacationing here wasn't so great restaurant wise cause the food hasn't been good. I'm from Kansas city so I know good BBQ and this place is the one to go to.

We were so hopeful that this would be a good place to get BBQ on the west side, but unfortunately it isn't! We went for lunch yesterday, and 3 out of 3 agreed the meat tasted bad. I don't know if they use liquid smoke, or if something is wrong with the smoker, but the meat had a sour/acidic like taste. The brisket was tender, but the outside of it tasted bad. There really wasn't much of a smoke ring either, so that makes me question their smoking technique. The turkey was really bad! I stole a piece from my husbands sandwich, and had to spit it out. The beans were not great, and neither was the potato salad.

Wednesday night wings are the best around...Smoked then deep fried. Great sauces. We got 18 full wings and two orders of fries for 26 bucks...

Great food, great service. Tried their sample platter with burnt ends, ribs, brisket, and pulled pork and everything was amazing! Especially enjoyed the pulled pork and ribs. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!!

I ordered 2 burnt end dinners one with fries one with cheesy corn I think they forgot the cheese it was corn and very liquidity water/butter I have had this before always loved it but not this time. There doesn't seem to be any consistency in food prep

Today got a pulled pork sandwich and some sort of hot potato salad. Potato salad tasted like thousand island dressing, and the pulled pork sandwich was greasy as heck. Once we threw up it went straight to the dumpster. Second time we tried it first time was nasty too

Great atmosphere but the food had a real bad almost burnt after taste. It was great the first two seconds then pow. It was weird I really wanted to like this place but that taste was just to off putting for us.

Soda was flat, so we switched to a different flavor and it was flat as well. Sold out of cheeseburgers at 1pm. Waited 20 mins for lunch while 2 other tables came in after and got served before us. Not sure if orders were mixed up in kitchen or our server didnt know how to get them in...she seemed new? Normally no issues, but the last 2 visits seem to have gotten worse with service, ie confusion with order taking and temp quality of food when it finally makes it to the table.

You walk in this lil hole in the wall type hidden treasure and the smell hits you. And you cant wait to taste anything they have (I even considered the paper menu, several times). The food comes and it's better than the smell! Mike and the young gal working front of the house are amazing. That gal is best for selling everything we got (and it was A LOT). I hurt but didnt want to stop. Loved Mike, the cook came out to talk too. Learned about the place and a bit of their method to make it all so good. He cares about his preparation. Hands down best bbq I've had in the lake area. Coming from KC, we're hard to please. That fried potatoes salad - unreal. The bottle caps - could eat my weight (breading perfect). Ranch - I want in a glass. Etc.... Thank you! Take the drive or pick up on your way through, you'll be so glad and saw they cater.
