My Frenchies, Spaghetti and Meatball, always love coming in! They get plenty of love from the staff as well as customers! (I mean how could you not pet these sweet faces?). Skylar (I hope I spelled her name right) is hands down the best. Meatball is a difficult pup when I try to trim his nails and he squirms. I’m afraid of hurting him and didn’t know where to turn, because I didn’t want him to be a pain for anyone. Skylar got his nails trimmed and buffed in just a couple minutes! Spaghetti too! We’ve made sure to book with her since. She saved me today (again) as I accidentally booked at the wrong location not realizing it. She still fit them into her schedule for a bath, nail trim and teeth brush. It was much needed as it took Meatball several weeks to heal from surgery and he got STINKY! She got in those Frenchie wrinkles and cleared up their tear stains. She is a treasure to this company and we plan on being long term clients of hers! She is very polite, professional and kind. We signed up for a Vital Care membership today because of her! The boys and I appreciate you, Skylar!

Went to the store to shop when I walked in asked the cashier for the bathroom. And she told me that I have to go and use it to another store. I was pretty fustrated about this situation because I did not expect this from a store like Petco. I shopped there all the time. Why did they sent me somewhere else to use the bathroom, I just couldn't believe it. No going back to that store anymore time to start shopping at petsmart.

The cashier was sooo rude here. We ordered 2 dozen crickets. He didn’t count them, didn’t put an egg carton thing in them, AND DIDNT EVEN CLOSE THE CRICKET BAG. Literally just handed us a bag of crickets, no air, no rubber band, NOT EVEN TIED OR ANYTHING JUST AN OPEN BAG LIKE IM ABOUT TO SNACK ON THEM IN THE CAR OR SOMETHING. He just said yup here you go. Go to the Belton one it’s better.

This was the first time I've used their grooming services and I'm very pleased with their work! They were so nice and took care of both my dogs while they had them in their grooming salon. My schnauzer had a mini make-rover and they cleaned him up nice! My pittie had her first ever grooming experience (it's normally a bath at home but as she gets older I wanted to get her the full grooming experience) and it seems like she enjoyed it. I let her pick out a toy afterwards so she's one happy dog. They even painted her toenails. Lol

The store is trashed. There is no staff. I literally saw mold on the ground by the fish tanks. The fish are clearly sick. I’ve never seen a worse Petco. Even the groomer was completely incompetent. Spare yourself and drive a little further to avoid this location. I am absolutely disgusted with this store. Maybe the worst I’ve ever seen.

If I could do no stars I would we booked this in advance the day before we got a whole confirmation email about my dogs grooming appointment. We show up and they tell us that it’ll take several hours because one of their associates didn’t show up. My dog really needed his bath and haircut so we still decided even if it took longer we wanted him seen.two more hours only for them to call and let us know they won’t be able to see him because their most experienced person is out. They tell us to return Monday n they’d give us a discount. Which is not the point we had out of town family and a funeral totally unprofessional. I would’ve been more understanding if they’d given us a call to reschedule n not have us wait around for almost 5 hours

This store is an absolute mess with no products on the shelves and a ton of pallets in the aisle. I was adopting a new dog and this store was on my way. I just wanted a leash and found that difficult as the aisle was bare. The cashier took 15 minutes to get to me when I was the only person in line. She was too concerned with something on the ipad to help checkout. I almost left due to the wait and being ignored.

The staff is unknowledgeable, handle fish with no care and then make you buy them after handling them with their bare hands, dropping the fish and still bagging it up. Additionally, the temporary store hours are terrible and is a disaster inside.

I got my daughter a Beta fish at 3 pm it was dead by 5:30 pm I went back to the store to be told I should put it in a bigger tank and that they couldn’t do a return because the fish was in the cup with the tank water I needed to put the fish in a bag or something and have the cup of water separately they made my daughter cry she went and looked at the fish why I was trying to return hers and it was several dead ones in tanks the manger was rude and unapologetic they didn’t want to help us when we first got the fish I’m highly upset. I do not recommend this location poor customer service

They deserve 0 stars not 1 but clearly that was not an option! I put in to have my dog groomed 3 weeks in advance they come calling me the day before saying they couldn’t do it and the appointment shouldn’t have been made! Like WHAT? Mind you this isn’t my first incident with them! I came in with a schedule appointment to only be told oh we have too many pets we can’t do you today! Now a month has passed I retry and now I’m banned from making appointments because of cancellations that PETCO CANCELLED NOT ME! Called made a complaint to corporate NOTHING! This entire company is a joke!

Please update your store hours. It’s incredibly inconvenient not knowing when this store closes.After reading the “Short staffed, closed early” sign I walked back to my car to see a child in tears because the store closed before they got there. It appeared they were going to adopt an animal. I can’t imagine the parents are too happy either.

I left a bad review about MY EXPERIENCE about constantly being cancelled for appointments and these people call me on TODAY SKY IN GRANDVIEW MO to tell me they cancelled me AGAIN because I left a negative review! That is CRAZY how can you continue to cancel my appointments because of a review on HOW I FELT AS A CUSTOMER! Petco in Grandview is TRASH and very racists and i will be having legal actions taking moving forward!

The store is only good for getting your dog food, other than that customer service is terrible. They do not help you, they tell you it’s not their “fault” and you have to reach out to someone else for help when ever your PETCO order is messed up. Last I checked, if my order that is from PETCO, and you work at PETCO, you can help.

Anthony who was at the register, was working very hard checking people out as quickly as he could while still being very helpful and friendly. When it was my turn at the register, there was a problem with ringing up one of my items and he went out of his way to make sure I could get the item I wanted. He was very nice and helpful to me, as well as to the people in front of me and behind me. He made the whole experience a good one.

The people are nice that work there. Everything in store has apparently increased in cost. So price tags do not match what items are ringing up as. Representative clarified it's because they are short staffed and haven't had time to switch out tags. The prices displayed should be honored though.

I was in the store for less than 5 minutes to purchase a bag of cat food. It was all very seamless. I can always purchase anything I need without there being an Out Of Stock, or Discontinuation condition when I shop. Every single person in staff always help, and offer to help proactively and this is very important. Not everyone can tolerate retail, but the employees never seem overwhelmed of anything, so this tells me that they are all great fits to fulfill their roles in the store. Keep doing this, because it is noticed and it matters very much.
