We have brought several of our birds to her for treatment, routine nail trimming, and wing clipping. She is always thorough and knowledgeable when we have questions. We have a green cheek conure and a black cap. It is also great that they have a rescue for birds and do not allow impulse buys to ensure they go to good homes. I couldn't recommend her more if you have any feathered friends.

So grateful to have found Dr. Burge! When we first got our little budgie Twigwig, she had some health concerns and scares but Dr. Burge always made time for us and you can tell she truly cares. Staff is always friendly and helpful and it feels great to have a vet who is so knowledgeable in avian medicine.

I saved a Pigeon that was unable to get out of traffic he was the sweetest pigeon he should have been transferred there today I hope he is doing okay!!! The prettiest sweetest bird I am so happy Lakeside Nature Center was able to take him yesterday it was a huge ordeal I’m 26 and an insurance agent and apparently the only one who could transport and save this little guy. I sang to him on the car ride incase it was his last day but Lakeside Nature says he looks okay and just had a head injury! I gave him my older dog who passed away his blanket from when he was sick to recover with and remember me by.

Our first time with our Indian Ringneck, my brother referred us as he had used them before. I was very happy with our experience. Very friendly staff very educated, particularly liked how patient they were with our questions. We will continue to bring our bird to Burge.

I was fortunate to be able to adopt one of their last Sun Conure babies almost 16 years ago, and never thought twice about bringing her to Dr Burge for checkups and health concerns. The staff is both extremely professional and compassionate. I never had any doubt my little Sun was comfy and happy while there. Sadly, she passed away this year due to an unexpected, yet unpreventable accident. But Dr Burge did everything in her power to help her and make her comfortable at the end, which means so much to me. It is because of Dr Burge that my life was opened to the wonderful experience of parrot companionship, and I will have no hesitation to bring my next feathered friend to her too.

This lady is a miracle worker. My budgie Gil was rapidly declining in health for some reason. He couldn’t fly and was wobbling and shaking on his perch and kept falling to the bottom. I thought he was a goner for sure. I brought him in and she looked at him and admitted him to the bird hospital for about a week. She and her staff administered antibiotics and kept him warm and fed.When I came to pick him up he was almost back to his normal self. She even gave him a blood test which most vets have trouble with on birds of his size but she was confident in her skills and does this a lot according to what she told me. We had another budgie die while getting a blood test at a different vet so I was very nervous about this.Thank you Dr. Burge and the staff there!

This place is awesome! We have utilized their veterinary services for our birds, bought toys/food/supplies from them, boarded a bird with them, and even adopted an amazing Umbrella Cockatoo from them. All of their staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It is obvious from the moment you walk in the door that these people truly care about birds, and want the best for all that come through their doors.Their prices are reasonable, they are available for emergency care, and they offer full veterinary services for birds. After discovering this place, I wouldn’t think of taking our birds anywhere else.

When it comes to chickens, this is the best place to go. Hands down, the work she does in the field of avian care is above and beyond. So if I ever need chicken care for my flock and it’s something i can’t do or haven’t been trained to do, this is where I would go!The level of affection and concern for local aviary is five star worthy.

After visiting a different veterinarian for years, I brought my bird to Dr. Burge's clinic, and I was thoroughly impressed. Dr. Burge demonstrated exceptional expertise and empathy toward my pet. One of my birds had a cyst, and she removed the cyst and prescribed medication without exorbitant fees. I am grateful for her kind and affordable care. I highly recommend her services.

Dr. Burge is an amazing avian vet. We’ve been going to her clinic for years with our many different small birds (Almost all of which we’ve adopted from her rescue.). She has provided excellent care for our pets and has been wonderfully compassionate when we’ve lost birds over the years. We have to drive quite a way to get to her clinic, but it is 100% worth it! Dr burge is the only person I will take birds to! Our rescue partners with her regularly and she is an incredible person and very knowledgeable with birds! She also rescues and adopts birds out as well as supplies. Definitely recommend her for all your bird needs!

Fantastic clinic. I brought my baby rescue pigeon here and they helped me with everything I needed to take care of him. They performed a checkup and taught me how to hand feed him. I was able to purchase formula and necessary supplies at a very affordable price.The staff is very caring even while they are clearly busy with many clients and birds needing help. They provide exotic bird services. They keep our pets healthy. It's just... The staff. I rarely feel welcome there.We parrot owners need these types of services, but ... If there was another one available, I would try it.I want to leave 5 stars, it just seems like I'm a bother to them every time I come by.

Superb avian vet & staff!We had an emergency situation with our Scarlet Macaw on Saturday night before we were to leave Sunday morning on vacation. Dr. Burge and her staff were so wonderful to us! They came in on a snowy Saturday night, did surgery on my bird and probably saved his life. I was terrified and so was my bird, but Dr. Burge and her staff handled everything so calmly and competently. Our bird is doing just fine and mending beautifully. Dr. Burge's prices are amazingly reasonable and everything about our experience was first rate, top notch! I cannot give enough praise to Dr. Burge and her staff. If you need a great avian vet or boarding for your birds, this is the place! Thank you so very much Dr. Burge & staff!
