I came here because this place had great reviews, also they “ supposedly gave 60-70 percent of value for handguns. I took in two firearms that were in the ballpark of 1200 dollars new. The weapons had only been fired a handful of times. Guy offered me 300 dollars for both. I felt like I was being taken advantage of by the guy. He said he couldn’t find the value of them which is completely garbage. Worst gun store I’ve ever been in.

I just had two holsters made. A paddle holster and an inside concealment holster. They were very professional and helpful. I will definitely be going there again.

Had a transfer to pick up here. Was helped by Cassandra and Gavin, and the process was quick, smooth and less expensive than other transfers I’ve done. Had a look around the shop while I was there and they had some good quality firearms and some other gear priced well that I had to keep myself from splurging on. Excellent customer service, nice employees and good pricing. Will definitely be going back for more in the future.

My 2nd visit here- I had seen the video posted to facebook today about theft, now i know it's not small business Saturday but today was Mission Monday.I stopped in here after work and purchased this shirt in the coolest color i have seen in a while and walked the counter to pay for this with the50$ bill i had not knowing the price of this shirt before hand and then i preceded to tell the lady to take my change and put it in the donation jar or gofundme or whatever to help with the security upgrades and i left the store Mission Complete.So I donated my change for some change #donatechangeforchange it's sad to hear in such a great city,community, and county that people would take food of someones plate; because you may have stolen monetary value in said items but that results in loss of money but more importantly food of peoples plates who work at this place. I know being in the midst of a pandemic is hard but it's hard on everyone not just one person. So if you happen to visit here and buy something think about donating your change for some change #bluespringsproudThey say 3rd times a charm well there were 2 beautiful ladies and one man working when i came into today; I'm sure there's a joke to go with this.... but everyone was so nice the young man said hi to me but didn't introduce himself also known as the elusive Gavin. The 3rd time i come in here it will be to buy a Kimber because as MLK said I have a dream and well so do I and it's to own a KimberMy experience as always has been great like the wall of china.

I cannot say enough good things about this Hughes Defense! Best of all, is the customer service! Personable, honest and knowledgeable staff who went above and beyond my expectations to make sure my purchase met my needs and was a good fit for what I was looking for. I had lots of questions and never once felt as though they were annoyed or overwhelmed by that. Their transparency in answering my questions has me eager to return for my next purchase (and a class they offer!) Three staff members were at the counter, supporting each other and me as the customer, and I’ve never felt more confident with a purchase - and without feeling any pressure whatsoever to make said purchase! It’s really nice to know that they are passionate about the job, the products and customer satisfaction. Thanks to you guys at Hughes for *literally* spending an afternoon with me and giving me some solid guidance! I’ll see ya again soon!

My husband and I purchased two shotguns for our Christmas presents to each other last year. Hughes Defense was incredibly competitive with pricing. The online ordering process was smooth and simple. I have only been in the store a couple of times, you might say "window shopping". Staff are super friendly greeted me with Hello how can we help answered all my questions.They all made me feel right at home, no pressure and did not feel like an inconvenience to them.Enjoyed every visit, easy to talk with all the staff. I've bought a few mags from Hughes Defense in the past because they had the lowest prices compared to several other shops near me. Besides the great prices, Gavin and his team always have a smile on their faces and are very knowledgeable. One thing you don't see often are gun shops proactively reaching out and engaging with their customer base. I really enjoy the rants. Overall, I've been to the shop several times and have always left with what I came in for, if not more. Keep it up!

Love this store and Gavin! I have made some small purchases here and I had Gavin install some new accessories on my new 1911. He did a great job. Took my daughter in and he gave her some great pointers and she purchased her new pistol there using the in store kiosk. Very quick and easy process. I have also taken my two younger sons in for the youth safety class. He did a great job and they really enjoyed it. I love the Sunday Night rant on FB and all the giveaways! Good selection and if he doesn’t have what you want in store, he can get it quickly. And...GREAT PRICES!!!

Great shop! The employee's enjoy helping in any way that they can, with all my questions and concerns! I've been to the shop numerous times for multiple weapon purchases, and I will be back for any of my tactical needs! The custom holster i had made by hughes defense was done very quickly and I was very happy with the results, but after a few days of wearing my weapon I was unhappy with one corner on the holster due to how it rubbed against my side. I returned to the shop and they were able to fix the issue in just a few moments time! Very comfy now edc. Keep up the great work in the shop and the community!

You’ll have a hard time finding better customer service anywhere, let alone a gun shop. They are actually glad you are there. Experience there was great. Awesome customer service. So glad I found him. I have purchased my second firearm from him. I went in expecting to purchase a certain type of hand gun. With everything I explained I was looking for Gavin was very knowledgeable about his firearms and lead me in another direction. I ended up purchasing a different brand that he recommended to me. I’m really glad I did because I ended up liking it a lot better than what I was originally looking for. He’s very knowledgeable and I definitely trust all of his recommendations. Highly Recommend.

1. Will not be buying anything else from this sham of a company. Called about a specific hand gun, said they couldn't get it. They called back saying they actually could get one. So we purchased for almost $850, then here 3 weeks later we are being told lie after lie. That the wrong gun was sent to them, they can't find one now, it's back ordered. Then asked for a refund and told its after 24 hours of purchase- YET WE DONT HAVE THE PRODUCT/GUN!!! Next day we call back and they said they will refund us the following day if they can't find something. Look at our statement and the refund is $25.30 short. We call back and are told that's credit card fees and they won't be refunding the whole amount. What a freaking joke of a place. Customer service was terrible and non-existent,2. When you finally refunded us, you didn't return the full amount. Your policy that you're trying throw in my face (unsuccessfully that is) says this «* ALL CARD TRANSACTIONS WILL REQUIRE A 3% SURCHARGE FEE.(THIS IS NON-REFUNDABLE AND ON IN-STORE TRANSACTIONS ONLY"»WE DID NOT BUY IN STORE!!

I'm an over the road trucker who is only in town for a couple of days every 2 - 6 months. I went in to hughes defense to buy a rifle I've wanted for years and they sat down with me and ordered the exact rifle I wanted at the price I wanted. The staff was very friendly and very helpful and answered any questions I had. Also Gavin understood my working circumstances and was able to hold on to the rifle until the next time I came back to town.

Love everything about this shop. Worked on my riffle gave me a amazing price and fixed it. Super knowledgeable. Great products has his own line of holsters that are high quality. Sells black riffle coffee that is hard to find! Great atmosphere. Don’t need to go to another gun shop this one gives everything you need at a price that can’t be beat!

Been doing business with Gavin for years. When he left his previous place of employment and opened his own place, I happily followed him, moving my patronage to Hughes Defense. Gavin and his team has always been honest and straightforward. At one point I brought in a couple of guns hoping to sell. Gavin explained how he wouldn’t be able to offer as much money as I was hoping for for either firearm. He took the time to explain why each one was worth what it was through current condition, demand for the particular make and model, etc. Going over his points, he was 100% right. I had overvalued my firearms, and that was my own fault. I appreciate the extra steps he took to explain why “my babies” weren’t as perfect as I thought. He had every right to simply say “This is my price, take it or leave it.” But he didn’t. I suppose I had watched a few too many episodes of American Picker and Pawn Stars.
