I purchased a Great Pyre from a local pets store many years ago that received the pup from Hunte. He was one of the best dogs I have ever had. He did happen to have some issues throughout his life but it was no fault of the company. These issues were just breed specific and my giant buddy happened to be the unlucky one. Even with his issues he made it to 9 1\2 yrs old which is great for that breed. Honestly this Hunte dog was just as good as others that i have personally picked out from local breeders. I will admit that i am not a fan of transporting animals long distances and that is a key factor in causing illnesses due to stress. But they due transport these pups in the most state of the art manner. I am a pro adoption person but when it comes to health you can and will have equal risks through adoption. The difference is the adoption facility often knows less about the dog they are trying to place. Nothing is perfect but at least Hunte tries their best and stands behind their pups and products.

rewind to 2009, a local petstore had a beautiful golden retriever puppy. She had a vaginal infection but we purchased her and took her to the vet immediately. She was under weight, malnourished and depressed. She was nursed back to health. I have paperwork that states this puppy came from a genetic line of golden retrievers, purebred. Upon hours of research-the "breeder" is a puppy mill. The dog died suddenly in 2014 from an aggressive form of cancer. She was only 5. She had physiological issues her entire life-there was something off about her, no golden deposition whatsoever. Heart ache and a broken family, from a puppy that was distributed from this awful crap hole. DO NOT buy animals from here.

We had bought our male German Shepard from a pet store in Albany Ny in June 2017. When i found all his paper work I was curious why he acted the way he did and why he was so sick when we got him. When I researched the name choice puppies hunte corporation came up and I was shocked and disgusted.This place doesn't even deserve a one star review. When we got him he had Intestional issues,behavorial issues and was to scared to even walk around he had to be carried. We had taken him to the vet and found out he had 3 different kinds of intestional parasites not only did he have all those worms the vet said he had them for awhile because he was so underweight and malnourished. Not only that he had flaky skin and had fleas. I can't not believe he's from a puppy mill god knows what other health problems he might have in the future. Shut this place down.

We purchased a German Shepard 9 days ago and have already taken her to the vet 4 times. Bad Kennel cough and intestinal issues! I have always been an advocate to adopt but we just fell in love with her! I even called the company to show my concerns, left a msg of course didn't get a call back! Disgusting!

Stop buying puppies form the largest distributer of puppy mill puppies in the United States. The HSUS and ASPCA have countless reports of puppies being sold to Hunte directly from puppy mills. I cannot believe a business that profits from horrible animal abuse is around today. It is supply and demand, never buy from a pet store. This horrible organization and everyone who works for it should be ashamed.

We purchased our puppy through a local pet store. The pet store had purchased our beloved wheaten from this facility. Currently our Wheaten is being treated for PLN, protein losing nephropathy. She is only 8 years old and has been the joy of our life however she is now sickened with this hereditary disease. Please think twice before purchasing from a pet store and perhaps find a local breeder that has done extensive dna testing on the family tree of a potential puppy. We are heart broken as well as our 2.5 year daughter.

Largest puppy mill broker in the states that sell to pet stores like petland, small retail chains or small pet shops.Google hunte Corporation and you will see they are responsible for supporting / supplying the puppy mill industry and pet store chains.Puppy mills and brokers should be outlawed.

Sorry to learn about your Wheaton Terrier and the problems you are having, but don't blame the Hunte Corporaion or the kennel where your dog was raised. It can be traumatic, especially when you are so attached to your dog. Got to say here that your dog is 8 years old and at the time you purchased your dog, there was no way to test for the disease. Since that time a great deal of research has gone into testing for PLN associated variant genes in the Wheaten Terrier and a simple test was developed in 2012.After years of research supported by hundreds of Wheatens and their owners and breeders, Dr. Meryl Littman and Dr. Paula Henthorn at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (Penn Vet) identified mutations associated with PLN in two genes. A simple cheek swab test to determine an individual dog’s DNA status was introduced to Wheaten owners in May 2012.Individual owners can submit samples from their own dogs to learn their genetic status and the associated risk for developing PLN or passing it on to their offspring. Individuals can obtain a test kit directly from Penn Vet at no charge, use the cheek swabs at home, mail them to Penn with a check and receive results in 2–4 weeks. No blood tests, no complicated shipping, no trip to the vet!Just so you know - I am not affiliated with the Hunte Corporation in any way, don't know anyone there, and am not a breeder of Wheatens. I do, however believe in honesty, integrity, fairness and fair play. Yours was an unfortunate incident and the luck of the draw. If your pup came through Hunte, you might want to inform them of this disease and testing for it, as I would think they would want to know and implement testing requirements at kennels they do business with.

My daughter purchased a male York is from pet store in Virginia that came from here. Have a certificate stating he was neutered and both testicles were removed. Not so. He stills has them! Certificate signed by licensed vet .

They get their puppies from mills all over the Midwest! Their main facility is in the middle of the country so they can callously ship thousands of puppies in huge semis all over the states. Check out their facebook page they even advertise the horrible "kennels" they want you to use for breeding dogs.

Rescued a puppy from a store...poor thing was supposed to be a purebred chihuahua, but was obviously not. Turns out he is a chi pit bull mix. Best dog ever, worst Mill ever!!!
