The majority of the staff are nice. There's one younger lady who has a bit of an eye roll type ugh attitude, as if everyone is constantly inconveniencing her. She definitely needs training in customer service and learning to be more polite while understanding her job role. I get it,. it's retail, it's not fun. But there's no need to always be rude. Dollar general has an app with discounts. Their system doesn't always work and what the price shows on the shelves, versus the prior discounts on the app don't always work. Things are often priced one-way on the shelves then ring up higher if you're not paying attention you can be overcharged. I was overcharged for a little over $8 the other day. Which took extensive explaining, math, and over 40 minutes to rectify. Hopefully the new store will be better when it opens, but there's a lot that needs work.

Don't buy discounted products, they aren't discounted at the register unless you have a manager discount it, meat says 50% off and isn't discounted on the register, if you don't pay attention you will pay full price, Christmas candy isn't discounted at the register the 25% it says unless you have a manager or employee do the discount at the register. Misleading and over charging prices.

This store is always a total wreck and you can't get down half of the Isles. I have never been in a store with merchandise laying all over the floors and stuff just thrown on the shelves any way possible. Management needs to come in and redo this store including the employees in my opinion. I don't normally do ratings but this store is horrible and not very clean either.

Since we no longer have a grocery store I shop here a couple times a week for certain items, spend quite a bit of money here. The day crew is amazing, the GM is great, no complaints until tonight. I had to make a run around 8. I forgot my debit card in my jeans but have used a check here many times before so I wasn’t worried. I got the things I needed (almost $100 worth) the kid checking me out was very friendly and well mannered. He was having a hard time with my check so he turned to the girl behind him and asked where another worker was (night manger I’m assuming) the girl says to him “he is in the bathroom she’s just going to have to pay a different way”. The poor kid just didn’t know what he was doing. I have never been so mad and embarrassed in my life. I will never spend another penny in that store and will be letting the GM know why in the morning.

I really enjoy visiting different dollar general locations. This is my go to dollar general and the reason i gave it only three stars is because it is AWAYS a terrible mess! There's always so much stuff in any given isle that 80% of the time i find 1-4 isles i cannot make it down with a cart. That's frusterating, especially when you need multiple things and have a toddler!

I was very shocked at the way the store looked. Lots of merchandise was scattered on the floor, not safe at all. Merchandise was just heeped on the shelves, no order to it at all. Young kid at the register was not friendly at all. I haven't ever seen a store in such terrible shape

My only complaint is that it's too cluttered up front...move those 2 bins (or whatever they are) so we don't feel like we're stuck in a maze & bumping into people.Other than that...theyre great...clean, pleasant employees, good prices...whats not to love?

This store is always more organized than the Union store but still packed to the brim. All Dollar General stores in this area need better Managers with organizational skills.

The Owensville store is in bad shape the manager their has no idea what she is doing the shelves are bare isles are. Full of clutter and the floors are nasty will not go back go to Gerald instead

This is the most disorganized and filthy store. Shelves are not stocked and there carts with boxes on them blocking isle's.
