Wish I could give zero stars but one will have to do. Went in to purchase a sectional (which they informed me they would not price match the 200.00 cheaper one online) me still wanting to "support" local business decided I would still purchase from this store. I went in and sat on the sectional my family liked. I lounged on it with my ankles on it ready to buy. After waiting 25 mins for a staff member the first thing he greeted with was to get my feet off the couch. Yes the couch I was going to take home. The one on the show room floor for hundreds of people to try out. I will never step foot in this store again. I also used to be a furniture sales man and was never "worried" about how a customer wanted to try out a piece of furniture. Also not the first bad run in with this store. Specifically fulton missouri.

Couldn’t get any 2x4 studs for 8 ft wall because no one in the building knew what I was talking about. How are you gonna sell building supplies when your crew don’t even know what a 2x4 is?

We have had nothing but trouble with the furniture we bought in May of this year,first the loveseat starts coming apart at the seams,they did try to fix it,and the entertainment center we bought has cracks in the door frames they brought me another that was in worse shape then the one I had,and now the sofa recliner is broke,we have only had this for 6 months it his hardly sat ,and they won't do anything about it. Please becareful what you buy from this place inspect before it leaves the store . Only good thing is the one person who sold us the furniture did try her best to help in the beginning,

We have ordered furniture twice from them and after 3 + months of waiting, we did not receive it. There was never a call from the store, we had to follow up each time. It was always on the next truck or shipment was the response when we called. We requested a refund. Manager stated that the supplier must have oversold the product. No apology, just an excuse. Disappointed, want to support the local store, but this does not encourage return business.

Don't ever buy paint here...I bought paint this past weekend. They don't put paint on the lid and dry it like everyone else who mixes paint does. I get I home and it is the wrong color it was supposed to be a very light green and it is blue. Called they won't exchange itand they told me they could add more color to tint it bit it won't match the other can I got that was right. Ridiculous waste of money and the person who answered the phone was rude. So I spent 30 dollar on paint I can't use and I have to try and match the first can or repaint it so save your time and money and go to westlakes

They directed me to the correct aisle and they had just what I needed. A clear storage tote with a clear top. I enjoyed looking around in the furniture department. Check out was quick and easy.

Highly disappointed in the customer service at this store. Went back to get my 3rd can of stain in 2 months. First two times took awhile to get any help what so ever, last time dropped off my can on my lunch break and figured that would be plenty of time for them to get it ready. Go back and not only is it NOT ready but they can't even find can I dropped off with my color choice!So they say they will call when talk to associate responsible and give me a call back. I wait for over 2 hours, no call, so I call back and ask to speak with manager and am told he his with a customer and he will call me back asap. Well an hour later, again no call. Call back and he finally gets on phone, I explain and he says what color and I ask if they found the can with my name on it, which he replies no. I go back to pick up what I hope is right color and get a dented up can of stain and not once an apology or acknowledgement.I am never going to this place of business again, they could care less about good customer service!!!

Pleanty of stock, some staff helpful, however overall customer service is not a priority.For example last fall I went in to purchase wood pellets. Someone like to have trampled me getting to the service counter. The clerk at the counter saw this, said and did nothing. A second customer cut in between me and the first rude customer, again the clerk said nothing. When it was finally my turn the clerk walked away from the counter. After much effort I finally flagged down another clerk.I ordered my wood pellets, paid extra for delivery. The delivery was to be first thing the next am. It wasnt delivered first thing. It took several phone calls, on one of those calls we were told they didnt have time to make the delivery. Then i called the Manager which is the only way I was able to get the delivery I paid for.I wont buy from them again.

Although this is supposedly a "big" home improvement store, they rarely have necessary items in stock. The prices are relatively high. Most of the associates don't know much; additionally they are rude. They don't ask to assist and, after checkout they don't say, "Thank you," "Have a nice day," or even "Goodbye"! Just resume talking to other associates.I'm left wondering, "Is this transaction over??" Unfortunately, it's the only store of its type in proximity of Callaway County/Fulton. I'd recommend going to Ace Hardware if possible or even Menards' in Columbia.

Bad. They won't refund your money if it over $100.00 they have to mail you a check. The worse part is they employee didn't even know that. But the guy that help us was very patient and kind when all was said and done.

I went to the Sutherlands location in Fulton Mo. to purchase an electric caliper, upon inspecting the caliper I noticed the battery was almost dead and needed to be replaced, the salesman told me if you hold it at an angle you could read it and informed me that the battery was NOT bad! When i went to the check out the cashier looked at it and confirmed it needed replaced and looked to see if they had a new battery. unfortunately they did not have one. The cashier said i could possibly get a discount, when she ask the salesman if she could discount the electric caliper for having a dead battery the salesman said "NO, that is the way they all come! " apparently if something comes with a battery included and its weak or dead Sutherlands does not care. Poor customer service. i doubt I will give Sutherlands anymore business.. Th cashier was friendly and helpful tho, I will give them that.

Bow Tech guy helped me find everything for my bow the first time I went in there including a good bowfishing set up. Went in there today and he seemed a little more rude.

Went several different places shopping for a bbq grill. Got to Sutherland and they had the same Weber we were interested in and had already seen someplace else. The deference was $40.00 and a quick trip in and out. Today was a very good day to shop Sutherland for a bbq grill.

I shop here a lot for general construction materials I need. The store manager is great to work with and most of the other staff can be as well. I'd recommend it over various other places in town.
