Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!From the moment I stepped in, the team met with excitement and enthusiasm. I had already been speaking with Dom, so he assisted me in seeing the puppy I wanted to see. He made sure everything was clean and perfect for our first met. Fortunately, I fell in love with the puppy almost on sight. Other team members like JT assisted in my shopping needs and got me everything I’ll need for home. Harper was also a great assistant in helping me load up. I recommend this location, you won’t regret it. The team is constantly cleaning and making sure things are right, you can tell the staff is orderly and know exactly what they are doing.Thank you all so much! Also they also send the puppies home with bows, it’s toooooo cute!

Adorable puppies 🐶 workers were helpful. The fish 🐠 guy was helpful explaining many different fish to my little kiddo. They get their puppies from reputable breeders. My friend in Florida actually sells some of his pups to Petland…. That’s why we decided to go here. We didn’t get a puppy today but did get some puppy supplies - the tall manger / general manager maybe Dustin?! Anyways he was super helpful picking out puppy teether. The lady on the sales side that has 5-6 poodles fur babies of her own was super helpful and friendly - she wears glasses and has curly brown hair lol didn’t get anyone’s name. Thanks 😊🐶❤️

The employees are super friendly and helpful. My fiancé and I came into the store several times. Fighting the urge to get a puppy. Last Thursday we gave in and brought home our little Georgia. She is perfect in every way and such a wonderful addition to our family. I can't thank Petland enough for bringing her into our lives.

I was really happy to see they are selling rats now, as pets, and not just feeders. Super great quality, on the pricier end for a pet rat, but huge, healthy, and extremely friendly.I can tell these come from a breeder who puts a lot of time into temperament and health, not a single problem so far!

Dom was a pleasure to chat with. This place has a great website, and it’s like a pet wonderland when you walk in but they are definitely price gouging. I felt like I was at a car dealership when she immediately brought me a poodle and let me play with her for about 30 minutes. When asked the price, she told me $5,000 because it was a “rare breed.” I don’t care if it was the last dog on earth - I would not pay that for a dog and they even asked us to see if we could get approved for financing when I knew I didn’t want to apply. The next day I got a Shih tzu from a dog breeder in Hornersville, MO for $200!!! I am soooo glad I didn’t go with Petland. But if you’re rich then go ahead and shop with them! Meet my Shih tzu, Rex! 🐾

This place is incredible!! I wanted a new puppy but live in California currently. My mom went and had me on FaceTime while the staff, especially Dominick, brought several puppies for me to virtually meet and they were incredibly patient and communicative with our hybrid method. I’m excited to go back home and meet my new puppy.

The only reason for 4 stars is the overwhelming paperwork and “to dos”. They really need to work on streamlining that all into a simplified document or two, not 20 pages. THAT SAID, Staff were extremely friendly on a cold and rainy weekend. I was very nervous as I had not committed to owning a puppy in many years. They were patient. Gave me plenty of time to think and absorb. No “pushy” sale stuff. Was it expensive by the time I walked out? Yes. Did they push me to buy unnecessary items? No. Now I have a mini goldendoodle and he’s amazing!

if i could give this place negative stars, i would. NEVER buy any animal from here. when my boyfriend and i bought our puppy from this place, we didnt know anything about the puppy mill controversy. one of my best friends moms left a negative review on this place telling our story about how our puppy got pneumonia, and almost died, petland responded back to that review and told us to reach out and they would help however they could, so we did. we called the number they gave us, and for starters, the lady who answered was very rude. she seemed annoyed at US that they sold us a dying puppy. they did not help in any way, basically told us we were screwed because we “voided the warranty” which lasted for 4 days from the day we bought him. we got our puppy, bear, on a sunday. the following day (monday) was labor day. that left us with 2 days to get in to one of their “recommended vets” which were all run by people who clearly dont care about their patients or any animal whatsoever. we went to one of their listed vets that following tuesday (now the 3rd day of the warranty), which petland told us we could just walk in for, and got yelled at by one of the employees who was clearly having a bad day and told they were fully booked 2 weeks out. our puppy was sick and we wanted him to get seen, just in case, so we decided to take him to one of our friends vets. we got him in on that friday. either way the warranty was voided and that was out of our control. petland covered up the puppy being sick. they kept taking him back and wiping his nose because it was really runny, which we have photos of. we are now drowning in $4,000 vet bills all because petland neglected their dogs and refused to tell us ahead of time that he was sick.we got charged an extra $2,000 than what they told me on the phone our puppy would be, which totaled out to being $4,500 for this puppy. on top of that literally one week of us having him we had to spend $4,000 for an emergency vet visit and a few nights in the pet hospital because he wouldnt have made it through the night. luckily bear is fine now and has made a complete recovery, but that is a lot to put a 13 week old puppy through let alone his new parents who are 19. im just happy this puppy was able to fall into our arms when he did, because we all know petland would have let that puppy die. they do not care about their pets, and they will most certainly hide things from you just to screw you over. ridiculous. we have contacted an attorney and petland WILL be hearing from us. we cant afford $10,000 for one dog especially not all in one week. cant wait for the day petland gets torched.

Against my better judgment of buying a dog, my dogs come from shelters, we saw our Suki and knew we had to save her from not getting adopted ( or getting adopted by the wrong people). We paid too much for her, we were shocked at how much, paid it off asap to avoid interest. Our long haired dachshund is a great, well socialized dog. She is apart of our family now. Puppies are A LOT of work, be prepared for that, especially house training. I don't think a lot of people consider what they are getting into .

Great time at Petland, I took the opportunity to hold a gorgeous conure and a super cool bearded dragon. They do sell dogs which I realize can be controversial but I saw nothing that caused me any personal concern. That said I do fully support choosing a rescue option.Their fish department is well stocked as is the rest of the store, it a fun environment and the staff was kind and gracious.

Purchased our sweet little Iggy puppy from this place! I’ve read other negative reviews and am surprised, I had a completely different experience! I found my baby’s profile on the website (I was looking for a very specific, somewhat rare breed) and they called me within 24 hours with all of her information, including price. They reviewed everything that price included (a whole going home kit, including crate, food, toys, etc.), the insurance, financing options, etc. They even sent me her vaccination record to review via text. They were very upfront, nothing hidden. Within a few days I decided to move forward with the purchase and set up a time to meet. The process did take about 2.5 hours but it was very pleasant and no pressured sales at all. They pointed out different things in their aisles as we walked around picking out the included toys, but didn’t push me to buy a single thing. They gave me lots of education and answered all my questions. I ended up buying a fair amount of stuff and I was surprised when I got to check out how inexpensive it all was! They must’ve given me a discount. They helped me take everything out to my car, got me settled, and were honestly just so sweet and sincere. I highly recommend this place! Wasn’t cheap, but the puppy is so well-behaved and sweet, doesn’t bite, and has taken to potty training really well! 5 stars! Thank you, Kaycie!

Sure, I'm not really ready to buy a dog yet. But my daughter keeps working on me. This weekend we went to petland like we had half a dozen other weekends to pet a couple. When I asked about petting a specific dog I was immediately asked if I was "serious" or just here to pet/play. I said that today we're just here to pet some puppies. I was told they were too busy to help me, and my daughter could only pet the small animals up front. Which she did, and while she did I watched 4 sales people doing nothing for the next 30 minutes. They had 2 other people petting dogs and 4 sales people, you do that math. I know exactly where I'm not getting a dog once I am ready.

Stay away! Petland's Fenton location is a horrible place. Between puppies being forced to live in their own filth and employees that are too busy chatting with each other or straight up just leaving, its a disgusting environment for the animals operated by unprofessional kidults who act like they're still in high-school. They care more about who makes how much instead of taking care of the animals they're supposed to be finding homes for. You're better off taking in a stray or going to a more legitimate business to adopt.

So glad we saved this pup from u people, you all should be ashamed of yourselves. Only had the pup since Saturday and she immediately showed signs of Kennel cough, took her to the vet twice now already and is on meds not to mention runny poop began and we got it stopped, the vet said all the animals from petland are often sick and come there, hence why you push warranty and everything else u push. I'm sick to my stomach by u all honestly. Upselling regular dog items to make a buck, selling pets at Insane prices that u Tell everyone not to have around other's dogs or animals. But they haven't been fully vaccinated, but you have them in cages with other dogs. Not to mention how you let everyone come see them and touch them. Then they go home and they are sick. Already from you all terrifies me to know what my sweet pup would have gone through there any longer. I am so glad we saved her.

This was one of must Unprofessional place I've ever been to. There was a bird they asked me to make an offer on because he's been there since they opened the store. So I offered him $500. So one Employe went to talk to his manager And they agreed to take the $500 for him. But I had to buy everything he needed from the store. I said that's fine so I was in the process of getting everything that he needed. The manager came out after they ran my credit to see if I was eligible for their financing for the 500 witch I was not so I sead that's fine I'll still take hem thin the Manager came over and sead that they can't take any less thin 750 for hem after Agreed to the 500 and me buying everything for him in the cart I told hem no that wasn't the agreement he thin asked were I Come up with $500. I told him his employee asked me to make an offer so I did and that's what was my offer. After them running my credit and everything he goes well. This is my counter offer. I said you should've did that before. You ran my credit. So I ended up leaving the store without the bird and. They lost out on a sale which is their loss. Not mine, I just felt bad for the bird. That's been there since they opened the store, they said.Just shows that they don't have the animals best interest in mind.

I felt like the puppies could have used more supervision from staff. I watched one puppy pin another down to urinate on it. We were going to ask to hold a puppy until we saw that. I think they need either more supervision or bigger enclosures that aren’t filled with 3+ puppies trampling over each other.

I usually don’t do ratings but this place was amazing! The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about every topic we had questions about. We had an appointment for an adoption with a Bernese Mountain Dog, and ending up taking him home along with a Golden Lab. The appointment was at 8:45, 15 mins till close but the staff was extremely nice and stayed with us until 11 when the whole adoption was over.The adoption process-The staff there guided us threw everything! This place does offer payment options which was very handy for us.The price-This place can be “pricy” but it’s definitely worth it. My Bernese was $2,500, $4000 originally but they knocked down the price because he was there for 2 weeks. The place is not just for the dog tho. It provides a 3 year warranty on the dog itself, a free vet visit within the first 30 days (the dogs already had 3 visits done prior to us meeting them), an adoption kit that provides a lot of essential for the first week home, and many other things I can’t think of off the top of my head.The staff-Like I said at the beginning the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Everyone working knew everything and everything, from first week to once they get older. My biggest shock was how late they stayed with us to finish the adoption and get the puppy’s. And I was very thankful for that!This place rocks! With amazing staff and selection!

We got our first Hamster for our daughter’s 11th Birthday. At first we were just going to go to PetSmart, but I am so glad we went to Petland. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They also had a much larger selection for half the price. We also looked, and looked only, at cats and dogs. They had a good selection of many breeds. I would recommend that if you have a pet or need a pet that you check Petland out. It may be a 25 minute drive for us but well worth it. Thank you Petland.

Absolutely terrible business practices. Refused to give a price on a puppy they had. When I went to the store they insisted I touch and handle the puppy before I got a price. Once I met the puppy they dropped the almost $6000 price tag on me. The breed I was looking at should range in price from 1500-3500. No chip or vet services make up that difference.

Came here looking to find a frenchy. Found her. Was educated well by Dominic. Ended up pulling the trigger on her. Harper then was my personal shopper that educated me around the store about the products. Made the whole process of finding everything very smooth and seamless. Highly recommend.

After being heartbroken to find the puppy we wanted had been sold, Dominic worked to find us a puppy that we would be just as enamored with. I gave Dominic the criteria of what we had been hoping to have in a new pet and Dom brought out the most adorable maltipoo that instantly had our hearts. The store was extremely busy that day and training of new staff was also happening. Dominic gave us our space to make sure that sweet little girl was the right fit for us and that we were not making a decision out of disappointment from the first pup. He kept checking on us to see if there was anything we needed. We had a hard timeline of when we needed to leave the store by and Dominic made sure we made it. I am not going to lie, it was close. We had only a few minutes to spare. Dominic kept apologizing. It was completely out of his hands. The store was busy. We completely understood. I appreciate all that he did for us. We even left with his personal cell number. Our sweet little maltipoo is a wonderful addition to our home. At her first vet appointment, she got a clean bill of health. We couldn't have asked for more. Thanks again to Dominic and a shout out to Emma who had helped us with the first pup.

First off I will never put my self thru this type of torment ever again.Second something w/ pet stores like this needs to change at this day & age.!?. I started online,knew what I was looking for but no price is shown! & was directed to an actual store-Upon arriving to this Petland I'm greeted enthusiastically by Dom w/ an already excited and anxious type dog asking me if I'd like to play with this guy as I'm approaching a window of dogs that I'm not immediately aware that they are not ready yet,still knowing what I'm looking for and not really seeing her yet....so as I walk along this salesman Dom is like literally trying to push another dog off on me when I clearly stated I knew what I'm looking for..So when I find Dog I am instantly falling in love with this animal that I'm still not seeing any price or amount of Dog just all these lil animals in a kinda Hell that I want to remove them all from unfortunately I won't be doing that this day- Dom gets Dog takes Me & My cousin to a "meeting" area where we can interact and start a bonding session w/in this cell I start to see lil girls character and she's looking up at me as carefully checking me out and nuzzles into my arm and goes to sleep,stretched out she snoozing & farting.How sweet lil baby is but my heartbreak is about to begin I look around and I look around and I see all this extra stuff and totals that is w/ the "adoption" really I dont need & can get later if I want but is nice they have done it but still wondering what is this dogs price going to be.... I ask my cousin what do I do just call him over.shes like yeah or just stand up now during this whole bonding process & falling in love w baby upon the checking were brought papers of linege and history or Dog all things that's nice on paper. Then blankets which we won't need she's a lil heater-And even treats that she eats and looks so bloated and yes more farts this time on my cousin.Ah the love and how cute I think I'm ready to take this lil Lady home w/ me..... Yeah she's going to be $4000Ok well take her away cause that's just crazy ridiculous and I'm not sure if this sale is commission based or wth but this is crazy for you to do this to a person or persons & the animal on a daily for what you said "they last about 2 weeks" going thru the many hands and people is just SAD and ridiculous I feel sorry for all them Dogs from first Display to the Last "were" ready Display cause it's all about the Dollars & who's got how many not even if it's going to get a good safe loving home just how much are you willing to pay for that~ Well you'll find out or not shopping at Pricey Petland of Fenton or Lake St Louis were I was actually in route to but that Dog was now in the actual time of being Sold!You see idiots starting to just walk out of places with these Dogs and do crazy things to get them. They wind up with bad people & stuff & this is why cause these stores run these animals thru it. We were here for 3 hours. Petting puppies, looking around. Every time we were ready to leave they'd ask us if we wanted to pet another puppy. Then another, and another. We loved every moment. It's also where we got our little Yorkie/poodle mix. His name is Brody. I highly recommend getting your puppies from here! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
