Bought a brand new Cub Cadet power washer with a GC170 Honda Engine from this place for my business. They did a start up test, checked the oil, and everything was good. First time using it, maybe a hour in, engine locks up. Tried a couple different things to get it going and still got nothing. Took it back to have it serviced. I waited a couple weeks and finally called to check the status of it, was informed it hasn’t even been looked at yet and that the mechanic would be there the next day to look at it. I let 2 days go by and call in just to be told that it’ll be another few days because other customers ahead of me. So I’m going to be without my brand new equipment for at least a month.I offered to exchange and get a bigger power washer but that was refused, I asked for a refund, wouldn’t do that either. So in other words I’m just screwed until my attorney gets involved.I highly recommend you do not by any equipment from here, especially if something goes wrong with it because your not gonna see it for a long time. This place is no good.

I took my cub cadet utility vehicle to the family center, that is whereI purchased it, because it was smoking really bad, they told me I needed new Orings, it was there a couple of months, the mechanic could not locate any, not even from cub cadet, I told him to give me the part # and I would try to find them, but he didn't want to, he would keep trying, but he could not find them, one day he walked out, so they put this kid behind the service counter, that assured me he knew what he was doing, but no one could get the Orings, so he finally gave me the part #, and I found them, as soon as they arrived, I ran them over to the family center 15 miles away, he said they were the right ones, so I asked him to change my oil also, couple more months passed, nothing, I had to keep calling, very few times did anyone return my calls, I just kept getting the run around, they hired another manager, the kid told me that the new manager made him stop working on my cub to work on his stuff. I finally got the word it was fixed so I went to pick it up, it didn't want to start, when it did it was still smoking, but this time it was reved up real high, didn't want to go in gear, or stay running. The owner, Jay, had the newest manager call everyone to come get their stuff because the mechanic & the other manager both walked out, I complained because my cub was in worse shape after they had it than when I took it in, I only needed Orings and an oil change, so they told me as soon as they got a good mechanic I could bring it back over and they would refund me the $329 they just charged me, and would just charge me what they had to do next, we brought it home, we almost couldn't get it off the trailer, and when we did, I just left it sit there until family center called me, well I had to call them, told them I was bringing it back and dropping it off, I didn't want to leave it sit out in the weather, so they finally got around to looking at it, and then they told me it needed a new key ignition, a belt, and a clutch, we checked the oil before I took it back and it was dirty, I don't think they changed it, but they did charge me for it. I could not believe what they were telling me, those things were not wrong with it when I took it over for the Orings, it wouldn't run the way it was so I had no choice but to tell them to fix it. when I went to pick it up the last time, they had it most of 2023, they never refunded what I paid the first time, and what they added on was close to $1700, I was upset, but Jay did not want to make it right, he said I told them to fix it, which I did because it wouldn't run. We got home, still smokes, dies if you let it sit idle, doesn't want to go in gear, sometimes it rattles and clangs and just quits, we have to let it sit and try it later, this last time that didn't work, so, now it sits with a tarp over it because it will not turn over. I moved down here in 1987, I have shopped there for my farm, saddle, feed, automotive, chain saws & blades, clothing, boots, jewelry, etc, but I will never shop there again, I don't know what they did to my cub, but right now it is junk, so much for new Orings! I was told that Jay knew all along what was going on, and did nothing until there was no mechanics and he had everyone come pick up their stuff!

I never really noticed how good of quality this store has in clothing and other products. I definitely will be shopping here more now that I have seen the quality of their stuff.

I took my Zero Turn Cub Cadet here and asked them to check the transmission. It seemed to be slipping a little on the left side. Then asked them to change the oil and sharpen the blades. When 2 weeks went by and did not hear from them, I called. “They lost my mower!!!” I had to come back in to identify which mower was mine. They lost the paperwork. After another week I get a call and said it was ready. They didn’t check the transmission, they didn’t sharpen the blades. They had it for 3 weeks and only changed the oil. I asked the manager what happen and she threw her employees under the bus and said, “It’s so hard to get good help these days”.

I like old hometown stores over big chain stores .Not the best service . But if you know what you're looking for and where it's at in the store , then you'll be fine

Went 3 days in a row trying to get the right lawn mower belt/returning the wrong one I bought. Had great service. Thought the price would be more than Rural King, but they carried the same exact belt and would have normally been the same price as Rural King, but were significantly less due to a sale.

I wanted to try out a locally owned place instead of a big box. To my dismay, my experience here wasn't too great. The place was understaffed, disorganized, and the manager acted like he couldn't be bothered by my questions about a product. Prices are higher than competitors but that would have been fine with me only if they had superior customer service. Which they sure did not. Being friendly matters to people!Anyways, I went to a competitor down the road and had a great experience comparatively. I won't be back to Family Center, it's not worth it.

Great experience picking up a new Stihl saw, has everything you need that farm stores provide. Actually quite a large store in the Farmington location, the Bonne Terre store is more of a satellite.....

They have a great tack selection for the area. Customer service is good. Someone always asks if they can help find something or if I need help out with feed bags. A bit expensive on some things. Others are priced well. Not a big selection of horse feed.

Make sure of the price before purchase. Never ever assume the barcode price is what it is. 60$ above the store barcode on product with rude replies from the cashier if we wanted the item then charged twice only to go back in for a refund and acting like was a funny mistake. NOT! Work to hard for the money we have to spend to be treated like the markup price is no big deal just buy it and when you double charge its funny. UPDATE YOUR PRICES AND DISPLAY THEM PROPERLY. I REMEMBER WHEN THE PARKING LOT WAS FULL... NOW I KNOW WHY ITS NOT

Went here because of the years of going here for the company I worked for. That being said, they were kind of the "go to".Now comes today.....I enter the building, go to the area I needed. Get the part I needed. Get told the price of the part, and get told to go to the front for check out. After the item was scanned, it rang up at a price 4x the cost told to me. At this time, a line was starting to form behind me, but I insisted on the person who gave me the price, the price that was on the item I might add, to come verify the price he had given. He comes to the register, looks at the price on the register, and states that must be the price then.Now, in no establishment that I have ever been in, have I ever had the company NOT just override the price, and let the customer have it for the price it is stated to be. Not this place! They charged me the register ring-up price. I asked to speak to the manager.The manager was quick to defend an apparent "store policy" that has started there, not too long ago. It states that basically it don't matter what any of there items are marked at, you are going to be charged whatever the register says, like it or lump it. This was blamed on short staff, and staff members not even knowing what they are doing. This is a horrible business practice, and they should be boycotted until this policy is changed to being the customer who is done right. And should then be used as a training event for why their employees need to learn their jobs.I forgive, but I won't forget. And I will never suggest anyone go to this store for anything, ever again. You have been warned, you (the customer) are not going to be treated properly by this facility.

Cool store with all kinds of good things, kind of like a "Farm & Fleet" but also a department store blended with an antiques and home furnishings. You could buy an antique sofa, new cowboy boots, and a tractor part all in one place. The staff is friendly as well. Check it out!

Terrible!!! I went in and got a pair of boots two days ago I put them on ONE time and it was for less then a hour.... but when I call to ask if I can return them the guy who answered the phone tells me I cannot take them back because I put them on.... even though I have a tag that says I can return them to the store “if they are not the most comfortable boots I’ve ever wore money back guaranteed” I have all the tags the receipt and everything. The man still said I could not return them. What a joke really the customer service was terrible!!! I will not be back

Attempted to buy an item at the listed price on the shelf for $8.99. After checking out, I noticed they rang up the item as $9.99I pointed this out to the clerk and was advised that they should've changed the posted price, but had to charge the price by what was in their computer of $9.99. They refused to sell me the item for the posted price of $8.99. Received a refund for the purchase price and returned item. This is POOR business practice and we will not return.

First time I went in there I thought it was amazing! Very nice staff, and tons of clothes and boots and accessories, also tons of farm and outdoors supplies. Especially if u have horses you should defintly go there if u are looking for supplies. A lot of saddles and tons of accersories. Definitly one of my favorite stores to go to!

The people are most helpful when it comes to customer assistance and we'll go out of their way to help you find what you need! Not to mention, a large variety of mowers, lawn tractor, brush hogs, and attachments. Lots of tools and hardware. Even have fencing and livestock pens

Hated this place and won't shop there again the cashier was very very rude also charged me full price when there was a sale sign up and refused to give me the sale price the cashier told the gentleman who was helping load stuff up to stop helping me to help another customer as I already paid so I felt as thou because I already paid that we were low priority to her .My whole experience there was very unprofessional....Never again !!

Good farm and ranch store, prices are high on a lot of their stuff and some of the services they specialized in years ago like small engine parts for lawn mowers and weed eaters of all different brands they have quit carrying. The common phrase is we can order it, which doesn’t help them when competing against other stores. The store still has a lot of good quality items and staff that will help you find what you need, but the arrival of competing stores like Rural King and Menards has offered cheaper prices on similar products. Still a good hometown store though.
