I meant to leave this review a couple of weeks ago and forgot, but here it is! I went on my first long kayak trip with my husband and our 3 daughters. We planned to do a 15 mile float down Jack’s Fork and end at Two Rivers, where JF meets the Current River. Immediately on the river, I had a couple of flips and became fearful of what I was doing, no fault of Windy’s. I can’t swim and for some reason, thought I was cut out to do this float. I was not. 😂 I wanted off the river as soon as I got on, but with 4 kayaks and our truck 15 miles down the river, we just couldn’t quit where we were. I definitely pushed through my fears and was trying to complete the trip, but halfway down our float, I saw a Windy’s crew van waiting for other floaters. I urged my husband to go on with the girls and finish the float and told him to come and get me at the beach if I wasn’t at the truck when he finished. I walked over to the Windy’s van and told the guy pretty much about my day and asked if I could get a ride to my truck. He was already waiting on another crew to come off the river so he couldn’t leave, but he found someone to pick me up and take me back to my truck, kayak and all. I was super embarrassed and definitely having a terrible day (lol), but the Windy’s crew was so nice and understanding and went out of their way to help me. The conversations back to my truck were great and the guys that helped reassured me that I’m not the only one who thinks they can do the float and then can’t. Still embarrassed but all in all, I’ll go back some day and Windy’s definitely has our business and our recommendation. Thanks to the two guys who helped me off the river when this lady had enough! Y’all totally rock. ✌🏻

Floated two days and had a great time with good equipment both days. Shuttle was on-time and was waiting for us at the pick-up spot. Would definitely rent from Windy's again.

Picked up and dropped off right at camp site. Drivers were so polite and accommodating. Loaded bags, unloaded kayaks, welcomed us back to shore at the end of our float, and answered all my curious questions.

Highly recommend! We stayed at Old Desperado Campground & Windy's picked us up right from our cabin. Drivers were polite, helpful & on time. Helped us load & unload our things, answered all our questions and were just very polite. I would recommend the float from Circle B to Two Rivers. It is an 8 mile float and it is beautiful! My husband & I are from the St. Louis area and we could not get over how clear the rivers are in Eminence. So different than here at home!

Had a great time floating the Current River last weekend. Windy's made everything go smoothly. I actually left my fly rod and reel in the van on the way back and they were willing to ship it back to my house. Really appreciate it!!

Gave me the best deal by far for a shuttle back up the river. Less than half of what the company at the finish line was going to charge for the same ride.

We had a wonderful experience using Windy's! Everyone was kind, friendly, helpful and accommodating. Picked us up at our cabin and then picked our kayaks up back at our cabin again. So very convenient. Highly recommend them! Their store is nice, too. Loved the selection of tshirts they had. A million thanks, Windy's!

Wendy's is solid! We normally use a competitor when we float, but Wendy's has online reservation capabilities. So this time, we thought we would try them out.No disappointment here! Excellent customer service, amazing staff interactions, great prices, well maintained rental equipment and easy to get to.We will be using them again as the float trips come up.

Never tubed or rafted before. Picked Windy's because I liked the name! Lucked out! These guys are completely organized! Amazing, I know! Visit the store, select your float...tube, kayak, raft, whatever, pay. You can go to your cabin or camp ground and get picked up later or the next day right at your door! They will take you right to the put in site where your equipment will be waiting for you. They said 4 hours, but you're free to stop and swim or hike up side trails, etc. No matter what, they will be at the well-marked take out point and take you home to your door. They have tubes just to carry your cooler, too. They really are flexible in meeting your needs in order to let you get in and out of the water safely so you can just lean back and float your cares away!

This is hands down the best place to rent a canoe. I love the people who work here. They’ve always taken care of my family and we’ve never been steered wrong on what we should float. They know what’s important to me and that’s to have fun and not expose the kids to too much insanity on the river and we have always had a blast!!! My kids love them too. They always get the gum ball or treat them a little extra special. Best place to do a float through!

FLOAT WINDY'S! Just finished our annual week in Eminence.Allan (manager) and the rest of the crew are top notch. We've used Windy's for many years and have always been treated like a friend. When they have nothing available they will suggest another outfit for the float you want. Although you get to float you just don't get the same friendly service. Bump into one of the crew in town, even when they're off the clock, and they are just as polite and friendly. Well worth the 12 hour drive from Ohio. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Booked a float for Memorial Day weekend. They picked us up and dropped us off right from our campsite. 7 mile float was beautiful and raft was in great shape. Friendly service and drove us back to our site afterwards.

Horrible experience sent me out on a flat raft with a leak in it.would not bring me a different one. Kid that gave us raft tried to put me in one with flat seats in it. Could not get generator started then said he put me in this one said last people told him it was leaking but couldn’t find leak. Sent us out with it started to go flat in hour after leaving.Gave them chance to make it right but the manager / owner called me a liar that his kid workers would never tell someone it was leaking. Then told me I let the air out my self. So spent 125$ for a flat raft. Could of at least gave us half back or something. Been going here last 3 years 3 to 4 times a year won’t ever rent from Windys again. Horrible customer service.

Had an awesome experience planning and executing our trip with the staff. They were extremely friendly dealing with our large group, offered various recommendations for the season. Our numbers and pushoff times changed a few times and was given no trouble. All around great time and would recommend 👌

Very professional, always have the supply, super friendly, definitely make sure you're having a good time. Only thing I can say is we did the 15 Mile one day was awesome second day we did the 7 Mile came into shore to a large sign with a phone number on it. It would be nice but cell reception there sucks so we had to sit there for almost an 45 minutes. Might have been our fault we probably kayak too fast versus everybody else that floats down through their enjoys every second. Company is awesome what can I say

In response to Jason James. After 14 hours of being inflated the raft has lost no air whatsoever. Also if you zoom in on the picture of the raft you can see where the valve has been pushed in and released all the air.When Mr. James called and was informed that the raft had no hole in it, he was offered to come in and inspect the raft with us to go over the issue he refused several times.

June 4th, 2022 around 630pm we had the best service from a younger kid. The whole staff was great don't get me wrong, but this kid went above and beyond. He helped me and my family carry our coolers to the van, gave us our ride back to camp, and even helped carry everything back to the campsite from the van. Amazing service and I wish I got the kids name because he deserves a raise. 100% would recommend.

My friends and I rented kayaks from Windys on the recommendation of our host at Old Desperado Ranch.It was an easy process and not terribly expensive. We did the shorter 7 mile float , it took us about three hours. The water was absolutely gorgeous! Don’t forget a dry bag if you want to pack your lunch!

The staff here is ALWAYS friendly and informative. Even when they are extremely busy they are willing to assist. They picked us up at our lodging and took us to the drop in location. We had 4 personal kayaks and rented 4 from Windy's. Our driver (Austin) arrived 10 minutes early and was very helpful. He loaded our stuff and made sure our kayaks were secure in the trailer. When we loaded into the van the conversation with him was light and friendly. When we arrived at the drop off location he introduced us to two other staff members and made sure they understood what was expected. These two gentlemen were also very friendly and made sure our personal kayaks, coolers and other gear were carried by them to the river. They also were quick to get us set up with the 4 rentals and made sure we were satisfied before sending us on our way. We have floated with Windy's 3 years now and have NEVER been disappointed.

Floating was fun but we did the 5 mile and were told it'd take 5 hours, so we only got to stop once before we hit the end and were only on the river for 3 hours. We would've stopped more if we'd known and our cooler got switched at the end and the shuttle driver didn't have his phone with him so we didn't get it back. But besides all that, we had a good time.

The best place we have used for canoe renting. The drivers were very friendly. They picked us up at a our cabin. They carried our cooler for us. I would say maybe that's because we are females but they carried a gentlemans cooler as well. The drive to the drop off was smooth. If we float in Jack's fork again we will definitely use Wendy's Canoe Rentals.

Very gracious with changes. Two families together with 4 adults and 3 kids (7 and under). Windy's answered all of our questions and made sure we had a one stop experience. We had forgotten a bag in a transport van and Windy's made sure it was returned back to us. We have used them for two trips and will continue to use in the future.
