I stayed in the cheapest room I could get to crash down for the night, and it was the best motel class accommodations I've ever stayed at. So clean and warm, there's no frills, but you're not looking for that if you're reading this.I'm looking forward to coming back and getting a cabin. They looked like enticing from the outside and a return trip bloomed in my thoughts. The restaurant bar next door is incredible. I really had no idea what to expect and the whole experience was an exceptional trip to a unique traveling experience.Rooms: Clean towels, hot shower, warm and cozy sleep for this wanderer in the depth of winter, I couldn't have asked for anything more.Nearby activities: The bar/restaurant on site is a place I wish I had more of before I fell asleep. I'll be back. The trails are right there and all kinds of outdoor adventures at the ready.Safety: I felt very safe the whole time, I arrived late and the owner met me at his restaurant next door to get me checked in, a truly nice fella.Walkability: So much right on site, I'm looking forward to going back for trails and warm weather fun.

*000 STARS*. NEVER STAY HERE THEY HAVE BULLSHIT POLICIES!! I reserved a room for 1 night on a Thursday to stay on the following Monday night. I was unable to make the trip and called to be reimbursed and they said because I didn’t cancel 3 weeks in advance I couldn’t get my $ back! Ummm I reserved it 4 days prior not 3 weeks so they refused to give me my full refund!!! Very wrong for doing that! I’ll be turning this over to the BBB!!!!!!!

We are very upset. We have been staying in these cabins for 30+ years with the “Ward” group. They only let you book a year in advanced. Well long story short, we booked our normal cabin, 2 hotel rooms and the suite for the days we needed them in July, and even called back to double check that we had them reserved. We called this week to see why we haven’t received our deposit slips for the rooms and the cabin, and somehow they are saying we aren’t booked and they have no record of this. They know who we are because we have been paying loyal customers for decades. This is beyond ridiculous and they offered no excuse or reason. Just told us sorry about our luck. We have 15 plus people in our party. I really can’t believe they just did this to us.Rooms: The rooms are ok. It’s where we’ve stayed my entire life. Thanks.

Pulled in here for a couple cabins after an all day motorcycle trip visiting old ozark mills. What a great place to stay, we chose a couple cabins and it was super clean and super quiet. They also have a saloon on site with great food and service. A+++Rooms: Cabins were clean and quiet. Satellite TV and chairs and table on porch.Food & drinks: Saloon on site with food and pool tables.

We reserved the motel suite for a work trip and the room was incredibly spacious, bright and clean. The staff to check in and talk to were very friendly and helpful for all of our questions. We didn't get to see the cabins but I was so impressed I plan to return for pleasure this time and come back to this place. I highly recommend it!

Booked two cabins two weeks ago and then had to cancel in less than two weeks because of rain coming in this weekend. And they would not refund any of my money back. I could understand if they would take service fee out but they kept the whole amount. Their policy says you have to cancel three weeks prior. But how can you cancel if its not even three weeks. I guess I am missing the point. But this is ridiculous. People work hard for their money and I understand business. Definitely won't ever book again.

During day two of no electricity and water at home from the winter storm here in eminence. We were able to get a room here and stay warm and have a hot shower with a discount room due to the inclement weather. What a true blessing shady lane. Thank you so very much for a blessed one night stay. Rooms were outstanding and absolutely up to par.

The room exceeded our expectations. Would certainly recommend them in the future.Edit: we've stayed at Shady Lane 2 years in a row now. The large room was perfect for our family float trip. The beds were clean and comfortable. The office was friendly and helpful (especially when we locked ourselves out of the room). And the location is close to all of the amenities that Eminence has to offer. We hope to stay here again in the future.

I stayed in one of the small cabins for about $110. The location is great, and is close to the river but you have to walk down the street to get there as the is no direct route from the property. The office is in the laundromat which is ok. Staff was friendly and I had no problem with them at all. The reason for giving a one star was due to only one thing. The room smelled Very bad. I took it upon myself to find out why as the room itself was quite nice, very large. I smelled the air conditioner, it was fine. The beds were fine. Bathroom was fine. While looking for a hair dryer (there was none) I opened up the cabinets under the sink, that was it. The entire particle board floor of the cabinets was black with mildew (possibly mold) and smelled quite bad. If it weren't for the smell I would have given 4 stars. On the upside, by morning I got used to the smell.

Very clean small cabin ( lower cabin of 2 story) The price was great for off season. Only $79 a night. Cabin had microwave, fridge and small coffee pot. There were 3 beds in ours so plenty of room for a few more people. Shower was hot and plenty of pressure. It is in town but that was a plus for this trip. I will definitely stay here again.

To start with, room prices are not what is advertised on their website. Website states $50 a night. We were charged $75 a night. They advertise satellite TV but you only get about 8 channels. 3 were ESPN, TNT, a cooking channel, a religious channel, and a weather Channel. Room is extremely small. Not really enough room for 2 adults. Now for the best part. We arrived right at 9:00 p.m. No one was in the office. There was a note on the door showing our room number. We get to the room. It's unlocked. No key. We had to leave early in the morning. Still no one in the office and still no key. We had to repack the car. I wasn't about to leave our stuff in the room unlocked. We got back and finally got a key. Went to the room to take a shower and there were spiders in the shower. Avoid this place like the plague.

This place is so relaxing and cozy! I recently stayed here with my Son and his Husband and we had such a great time! The cabin was clean, wonderful soft linens, and very comfy beds. The shower was excellent...great hot water and my skin felt so soft! We stayed 3 nights and all of us wished we could have stayed a few more! Don't hesitate to stay here, I would have given 10 stars if I could! We will be back! Also all of the Springs are so beautiful and breathtaking! Loved it there! ❤❤❤

The cabins have some wear and tear. Stained carpet, loud AC units, kinda musty smell, everything needs updating. But nothing in Eminence is super updated. I’ve stayed in quite a few cabins in the area and they’re all a bit outdated. Beds and sheets were clean, bathroom and kitchen clean. WiFi available, only works on the back porch close to the office. (Not super important, but you don’t get great signal down here!) Nice area, close to the river but not in view. We usually come back and stay here because it’s a pretty good price for a large group, 5 queen beds in the large cabin and plenty of room. But every cabin and hotel in the area needs updated. Safe area. Lady that checked us in, not friendly. Guy that checked us out, very friendly. Hit and miss! Just giving an honest review hoping it helps someone!

Only saw a Motel room, didn't get a look at the cabins. Great price & location. My "single" room was basic and small, but super clean and in great condition. Not a complaint, just a "be aware", the wifi is free but a bit slow. It should be fine for most uses but if you have to download or upload something really big (I had to load some large digital maps into an app) you'll need to find a different wifi source. Unless you came to Eminence to binge-watch your favorite streaming shows, it's probably not an issue for you. This will be my go-to lodging whenever I'm in Eminence. (note added in 2023: complaints about network connectivity have a shelf life. Who knows what it is like now)

We love staying at Shady Lane Cabins. Hubby and I have been staying here almost every time we visit the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. We've tried other places but we always come back to Shady Lane because none of the others compare in price or value, especially if you're there to enjoy all the outdoor activities the area has to offer. The cabins are cleaned daily and the housekeeping staff does a fantastic job - very clean! We always stay in the small, one-room cabins where we have all the amenities we really need. It would be nice if there was a microwave, but we never really miss having one because the local eateries are so good. (The larger cabins have microwaves and stoves)The people at the front desk are awesome. There's a laundry there if you need it. Besides the clean but no-frills cabins, there is a playground for the kids, barbecue grills, and a fire pit if you'd like to have a bonfire in the evening. There are local outfitters nearby who will take you to either the Jack's Fork or the Current River and pick you up at the end of your float. The cabins are different from the motel. We have never stayed at the motel but we have stayed at one of the larger cabins (top level) when there were no small cabins available. Those were every bit as nice as the small cabins, with a few more amenities (microwave, stove). They honored the small cabin price for that stay, but the price difference is normally not a very much if you prefer those additional conveniences.

I have staid here multiple time in the 1 room cabins and I love it! This is the 1st place I try to book when I come into town. The location is great, right in town and mostly level. You can walk to all the local hot-spots. The cabins are always clean. The staff leaves you be, which is great when you just want to relax and not worry about anything! Last time I waited too long to book and they referred me to other camp grounds that they KNEW had availability which was SO nice of them. I was SHOCKED to see anyone could leave negative feedback about Shady Lanes.

Cabins and motel rooms available at this location. Be sure to make reservations well in advance. Cabins and motel rooms are nice, it has the basics but fit the bill for a good night under the stars and for sleeping. Very quiet area, located in town next to gas stations and restaurants. There is also a laundromat on location. Quiet times are enforced, no big partying is tolerated and I am thankful for that. Staff is wonderful and willing to accommodate any way they can. Be sure to check their website, prices are different for certain days of the week and certain times of the season. I love staying here during my visits to Eminence.

Visiting the area for a family funeral. Rented one of the single cabins for 2 nights. I was pleasantly surprised. Cabin is clean and very nice. Twin queen beds and a shower. They do not have a stove or microwave. Small refrigerator and a 5 cup coffee maker. Satelite TV. Walking distance to the river. The grounds around the cabins is neat and clean. The beds are comfortable and we slept great. Right on the edge of town, so you are close to the stores and restaraunts. Wifi is free, but in the cabins it is a little weak. Would stay here again.

This place has potential. Our group rented two small cabins and an RV site. RV sites are small, close together, and aren't secluded or shady at all. They are by the parking lot near the office and motel. It would be fine for just an overnight stay but not very peaceful for a vacation. Lots of traffic through the resort. Small cabins are musty smelling and beds need replaced. It would be nice to have a kitchenette in the cabins as well. Would not stay here again.

A group of friends and our kids stayed in Story Creek Manor and we loved it. It was a perfect accommodation for our group. The house itself had everything we needed and the best part was the maid came if you did need something. Will more than likely use this every year. Two thumbs up!

Flies all over the cabin, food in sink from previous guest, food on the floor from previous guest, over all just dirty. We rented the upstairs and downstairs of cabin 13 and the downstairs bed is below upstairs bathroom. The shower from upstairs leaked on us in the middle of the night. Contacted employee working there and her response was "I can't do anything about it. I am just an employee". Emailed the owner and he has not responded. DON"T STAY in cabin 13
