This place is under new management and I can tell the people who took it over truly care about the place! My boyfriend and I got the fireplace and spa cabin and it was so nice! Everything was clean, lots of wood provided and the view was incredible. The jacuzzi tub was a perfect end to our hike, we went to ally spring which was recommend by Cindy at the main office. It was their Valentine’s Day weekend so the inside was decorated with flowers and candy and there was an amazing steak dinner provided. Doug showed us his horses which were beautiful 💕Rick and Tammy took us on the tour around the place! Everyone made us feel so welcome🤗 Honestly anything we needed they were so accommodating! A weekend wasn’t enough time but don’t worry we will be back!!

It's decent. If you picture staying in a Midwestern cabin on a river it's about what you expect Albiet overpriced. We stayed in what they considered their nicest cabin. Only 1 of the 2 showers had hot water. The shower with hot water didn't drain and would fill up. And the grout had mold spots. The heater didn't work. Towels feel like sandpaper and 20 years old. The furnace return filter had 5 years worth of dust in it. The shower that had hot water felt like a pressure washer with sand in it. I wouldn't shower here if you value having nice smooth hair. Took 2 days back home if treatment to get my hair moist and shiny again. The sheets definitely weren't 100% clean and had hair on them (even under the comforter). The beds are comfortable, however they don't have a real bedframe and it's just plywood. The mattresses slide easily on this platform and since there is no room for the mattresses to breathe I wouldnt be surprised if there was mold on the underside of the mattress. Phone data is better than their free wifi, the *full kitchen* had very old dishes and utensils but less of cute & old aesthetic. But more like everything was from dollar general 30 years ago and super worn. The only skillet was Teflon coated and the coating was half missing. Definitely a health hazard. The porch facing the river looked like it hadn't been clean all season. The fan on the porch looked like it was going to fall. One door knob to the cabin was broken and didn't work. They informed me of this. However the only other door knob to enter the place was absolutely terrible to use. You had to jiggle the key and the knob to get it to lock or unlock. The window style ac units used to cool the place weren't sealed to the cabin and had 1cm gaps on all the sides letting in outside air. I'd be careful staying here in mosquitoe season. The kitchen really wasn't that clean. There was reminents of food still on the stove top. The ceiling fans, counters, top of the fridge etc basically all the horizontal surfaces had a decent amount of dust on them. This review is getting long so I'll end it with this. If you don't have any other options then stay here. The owner recently changed (maybe 2 years ago) and from the rumors I heard they had recently lost an employee so they're understaffed. The 2 people I came in contact with were nice and listened to the things we really wanted solutions for however I didn't tell them everything that was wrong. This review is my experience & yours can vary. It's possible they fix this issues or maybe they don't. I saw some air bnbs that looked like a better value but they were taken.

A buddy and I recently stayed at the rivers edge. It was off season (February) and the place was closed down for the season but we were able to still book a room. Owners left keys and note and no problem with checking in. We had the whole place to ourselves. Having been there in peak floating season the solitude was nice. The location is great and if your familiar with the area you know that hotels are far and few. This price was reasonable and rooms nice. Shower excellent. Couldn’t get tv to work but that wasn’t a show stopper. I recommend this place, especially off season. You also have parks and river accesses to yourselves as well.

My experience this visit was disappointing. Location is really the only thing going for Rivers Edge. Customer service is definately missing. Maintenence/upkeep is lacking. I started approximately 1 yr ago making reservations for a group. This was a small family reunion. My troubles began with the first phone call. I am a past travel agent and have never experienced such inept personnel. I made numerous phone calls that went unanswered and left messages that were rarely returned. Getting our reservations correct was a monumental task. I only received email confirmation of reservations when I asked. Eventually I had to also ask for confirmations to be sent to each member of our group. Our group had stayed here in years past and never had such issues. We were all disappointed and will not be returning. The overall vibe of the place says "we don't care". I will say when asked the issues were resolved but we shouldn't have to ask.Rooms: Room is very basic. Towels were scratchy and smelled. I had to ask for fresh towels and thankfully the 2nd set smelled fresher. When I asked for fresh towels I was only given bath towels no washcloths or hand towels. Ran out of toilet paper which obviously means no one ever serviced our room. I had to go find personnel for that. Another member of our group had no hot water. Took a couple days to fix. The trash can on the porch was overflowing and not emptied until we asked for it to be done. Another room in our group had the unfortunate luck to be in room 10 with the sewage smell. They had to be moved. Room 10 sewage issue can be traced back to at least 11 months ago. Why is it not fixed and why is the room still being rented? The water tap for rinsing your river shoes didn't work properly. It took 2-3 days to get fixed.Noteworthy details: The best thing Rivers Edge has going for it is the location. The grounds are not kept up. One person in our group got moved to a Beach cabin from main lodge. Accommodations were even more basic than the main lodge. The grills were in disrepair as were the picnic tables. No where to get out of the afternoon sun. Some type of canopy or umbrella would have been wonderful.

So expensive for a terrible experience. We paid over $700 for two nights. There was no one in the office the entire weekend after check in on Friday. We had no soap in the bathroom or kitchen. We had no paper towels. We have one roll of toilet paper. When booking the pictures showed the suit as a stand alone cabin, it was not. It's one big building connected. No privacy. There is a drive through window in the dining room. There is no lock on the sliding door, only a stick. The smoke detector goes off when you use the toaster. They stated the place comes stocked in the kitchen, there was one knife. For the price this place is a total rip off. Do not book here. It clearly has not been updated in years. The hottub is empty. The ping-pong table has no patties or balls. The only positive in the fact that's its close to the Mexican restaurant. Also the water is warm in the shower. Highly recommend staying anywhere else. Circle b is amazing, rivers edge is not.

Rivers Edge was a great place to stay with our family. The cabin was set up wonderfully, and the kids had a blast playing along the riverside. Our hosts were excellent and everything was perfect upon our arrival. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make meals, and there were extra pillows and blankets in each of the rooms. We will definitely stay here again!

First time staying here. We had a great experience. The rooms are nothing fancy, but it was perfect that way. Easy access with sliding back door to back deck. Our friends stayed in a beach cabin, which was nice also. Very large river access for an evening stroll. I enjoyed all the social interaction with the other vacationer's, but still could find plenty of quite spots. Everyone was so friendly at the resort and on the river. If you want maid service you just need to ask, we didn't want it. We did request new towels and our garbage taken out. The employee was super friendly. And the mix of rustic antique metal crafting was enjoyable to view all over the resort.

I have stayed here at least 30 times. Irma is awesome. Kali has been awesome - extremely nice, patient, knowledgeable, and very prompt in returning phone calls and securing reservations several times this year. Great addition to the company. Nikki, the new manager, is exceptional as well. She seems to have fit in seamlessly and I just live this place. I’m a permanent customer.

We stayed in the Spot Down Under a few weeks ago. 3 adults and 2 children. We liked the lay out of the suite as it allowed for the youngest child to go to bed and the rest of us could stay up. Space was good. There are quite a few stairs down to the room and then down to the river. If steps are an issue, might not be a good fit. The refrigerator and microwave were helpful to avoid eating all meals out. Some negatives: the smell of the rooms had a musty, closed up smell. Part of it is probably due to the fact that the floors, ceiling, and walls are all wood - makes for a nice cabin like feel but might contribute to that smell. We could smell the odor on our clothes when we got home. Biggest complaint is that after spending all day in the river two nights in a row we did not have enough hot water for showers. The hot water was gone after the 1 yo was given a quick rinse off and the 6 yo had a shower. Management advised us to wait for 30 minutes between showers. For the price of the room, I would expect to have enough hot water that you do not need to space out showers over a few hours. The people staying on the floor above us also told us they did not have any hot water. You are really paying for the location and the location was perfect. We will consider staying at this property again because the placement on the river is great. We stayed on the areas closer to the bridge and watched people on the rope swing. The next day we choose a place a little further away and it was perfect for the 6 yo (current was slower and the water deepth). Saturday the river was busy with everyone coming down the river and Sunday was much more calm. It was a great experience.I wish for the price the room would have been a bit better, but again the location was great.

We got forced off the river because of a cold spell coming through, this place was great! Perfect pine cabin with three beds for three guys. Warm shower. Close to good eats in Emenince.Cable but no ESPN (it was Monday night football!). Great view. Fireplace.

Our room smell like raw sewage the whole time we were there. When I complained to check out they said that they were aware of the smell they just couldn't figure out what it was so they proceed to keep running the room and people having to deal with it because when there are no vacancies there are very little options other than to deal with it. Offered to Discount my room and I have called up there since and never heard back I'm not going to beg for a little off my bill just know that if you get room 10 it's going to smell like raw sewage so have fun.

My family of 4 stayed here for almost a week. Our room smelled so bad of sewer, we had to sleep with the door open and use a fan to try and get fresh air. no maintance has been done on the place in years. the shower was just a trickle, and leaked all over the place. None of their online pictures are what it looks line now. it is a run down mess. we had a family (reunion) float trip. and none of the 25 families will ever stay there again. The manager said they were sorry for the room smell and would credit the stay back to my card. (it never happened) they said they would do this 4 times, every time i called. then their phone stopped working. I called the buisness next door (great place, Axe throwing Smitty's place i think) he said they fired all the help and closed down for the year and probaly shut off the phone. I gave them one star only because i had to to leave a comment, they deserve no stars

Absolute nightmare. Booked a room in January for 4th of July weekend, and apparently the date was put into their schedule wrong even though it was correct on our digital receipt. They told us they had already given our room to someone else and offered to put us in a new building they were renovating across town. Needless to say the place wasn't ready for customers and looked like it had been empty for some time. We immediately asked for a refund and about 3 hours of later someone finally came by and wrote us a check for the nearly 700 dollars we had paid just to be turned away by incompetent staff and owners. While we were waiting we over heard several other groups having similar issues. All of the good reviews are from before these people purchased the business, save yourself a headache and go somewhere else.

This was the perfect base camp for our ONSR getaway. Our room was very clean. The bed was firm but comfortable. We had plenty of hot water for our showers. We enjoyed the fire ring on a beautiful night. The tube float from the beach cabins to the bridge was enjoyable. There is a beautiful swimming hole by the bridge. It was like summer camp for adults.

Loved this place! We stayed in Jack's Cabin. It was clean and roomy. The bed was so comfortable! I reccomend taking your own pillow though. The river was close by and easy to walk to with both calm water and some mild rapids to play in. Be warned though, the water is ice cold all the time! We will be making this our place to stay when we come to Eminence.

Way too expensive, we stayed Wednesday through Sunday and was over $800. Rooms were clean but small. There is a $20 per person charge for more than 2 people in your room. This made absolutely no sense to me since we were in a 2 bed room. From the motel to the river is well over a 100 yard walk witch isn't too bad unless your carrying a cooler, chairs, etc. I will say that the place is well kept and clean.

From the moment we arrived we loved this place. The location is great, right on the water and the rooms were clean and spacious. I also want to compliment the staff, they were very friendly and the room was cleaned by 10am each day. The location is easy to find and near lots of activities. Great place for any occasion!

The website is not the location you will be staying at. I didn't know this till I got there. The beach in website was beautiful, clean and the one we seen once we was there was a mud hole with weeds and trash everywhere. Bait and switch. I called and called and didn't get anyone till the Monday after my vacation. I spoke to Cali and she handed me of to someone who acknowledged that the website was not accurate and said it wasn't their website even though it has their phone number and their lodge name. Then she hung up on me and blocked my number.Horrible..

Several people mention it is overpriced. As far as the rooms, yes they are overpriced but you are paying for the riverfront location. Yes, it is maybe 100 yds from the actual river but if you ever saw the Jacks Fork River flood, you would understand it is a necessity to not be too close to the river. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The owner was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay at River’s Edge Resort.

We did not get the room we were supposed to get. No headboard on bed. Right up against the window blinds. Not quite as close to the river as photos lead you to believe. They were mowing outside our room at 7:00 in the morning. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Pretty pricey for what they offered. Probably won't stay there again.

We had a wonderful time at Rivers Edge Resort. We had a balcony room, beautiful decorated with rustic barnwood. The landscape is decorated with amazing ironwork Art! Guests fire pit with firewood ready for a evening gathering. Our host was very helpful with area restaurants and places of interest. Kayak rentals are nearby too. Wonderful place to stay!

Buyer beware! This company engages in consumer gouging with some very shady business practices! I booked a reservation for two cabins for October 2022 (for my daughter's wedding) and paid in full immediately via PayPal. My daughter decided to change venues, so I called to cancel my reservation today and was informed by Leslie that I won't receive 20% or $366 of my reservation back because that was their policy. Now mind you, they never told me of any such policy verbally or in writing. Leslie claims she told me on the telephone back in October 2021 when I booked the original reservation but that is complete BS and I would never have paid in full. I could understand a late cancellation penalty, but this reservation isn't for another 8 full months! Advised that I would rather not file a complaint, but the response was to go ahead. Wouldn't stay here if my life depended on it. Asked to speak to the owner and Leslie hung up instead!

This place was exactly what I was looking for! Quaint river lodge with wonderful people in a beautiful area. We accidentally left a favorite stuffed animal in one of the beds and Lynette was kind enough to mail him home for us! Thank you so much for a wonderful mother/daughter adventure. We will definitely be back!

We had a large group of 8 people and stayed in the Down under suite. It was plenty of room for all of us. It was a little hard to walk to being that you had to walk down a long stretch of stones to get to it. Everything was fine until a few of us got into the hot tub. The owner immediately saw us on the camera and came to explain to us all the rules and tell us more rules that were not on the list. This was really uncalled for since we were not breaking them in the first place. If they are that particular about the hot tub then get rid of it. For the price of the rooms a night they could afford to drain the hot tub every couple days and refill it. It really made us feel unwelcome and in the future I will find other options for lodging where the owners or management actually care about how they treat people.

Have stayed here many times through the years with my family as a little girl. The place is amazing - from the one-of-kind art and rustic decor to the hand made pathways lined with wagon wheels as rails. It was a place I told my husband about with memories of jumping off a nearby by cliff or hiking through breathtaking scenery as a kid. We finally went a few years ago and are hoping to go again this summer. The owners visited us to make sure we were happy with everything and gave us some great tips for the river. It was the same owners so many years later. Hope to visit soon!
