Not much good to say about the place. Regular restrooms were out of order. Those in the rec area were dirty with the doors blocked open. Cleanliness was not a priority. Half of the building is not in use. The rest was run down and cluttered. All I was traveling with said they didn't want to stop there on our return trip.

Listen it’s a truck stop. I’ve been stopping here forever. It use to be more interesting than it is now but I still always stop between Joplin and Nashville.

This place was a complete surprise to us. Stopped to get gas a full complete grocery store inside. Just traveling through but bought some fresh grapes and other small items to snack on while we were traveling. All items were fresh. Phil

We stayed at Pine Woods Lake campground which is less than 5 minutes away from this truck stop. The campgrounds do not have showers but Leer Jak has extremely nice shower facilities. It worked out perfectly for our stay in Ellsinore MO. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Don't put any money in machines they don't want to pay you if you print your own ticket. Like what I brought the ticket from somewhere else when it has your name all over the ticket

This place was awesome nice large selection, very nice people behind the counter and the Beef stew from the hot deli was awesome on that cold night I was there.

One week my other half and I went in for a shower and they allowed us both to shower in the same room and only charged us for one shower but the next week when we went for another shower, the lady working that night was extremely rude and told us that they don't allow people to pay for one shower and have two people in there and they never have... Except for the fact that I had just been there a week before and did that very thing... Well she wasn't having any of that so we got our money back and left.

You and your company policy can stick it. I don’t deserve to be treated like a criminal on the basis that I walk into the store with a hood on when it’s 25 degrees outside. Just a year ago you couldn’t walk into places without a mask on.

Very clean and well organized. I found everything I was looking for, filled up with affordable gas when I was expecting to have to pay a much higher price, I actually paid the same price I paid before leaving town. Their bathroom was clean and stocked. Their employees were nice, polite and helpful. I recommend anyone traveling along the freeway here to make this their personal pit stop.

I’m not from the area, and decided to play the slot machines. I put in a $20 bill and was so busy WINNING on my very first spin I didn’t notice the RULES stating that YOU CANNOT COLLECT YOUR OWN WINNINGS!! THAT IS NOT NORMAL ANYWHERE IN AMERICA! And when I hit the collect button with a $72 WIN THEY TOOK MY TICKET AWAY AND REFUSED TO GIVE ME ANYTHING!!😡🖕. Even THOUGH THEY HAD IT ON VIDEO!! THEY ARE THIEVES AND CROOKED TO THE CORE! PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE!! I am a homeless Veteran living in a hammock at any campground I can find and this incident was incredibly SHAMEFUL!

Not sure what’s going on at LeerJak. No longer clean. Not especially friendly. Both mens urinals are out of order. No stall door for the single toilet. Card readers at pumps are not all working so have to go inside to activate pump. Will no longer be our routine place to stop.

A good place to stop for a sandwich, drink, or snack. Lots of merchandise.The bathrooms need help, though. On the mens side, one urinal has had a black bag over it for a month, and the restroom stall has a shower curtain for privacy. Used to have a door but not now. The floor is constantly wet from a leak that has been there longer than the bag on the urinal. Watch out for slick floors.

Don't know why my wifes name came up. She was not with me. This is her husband Russell.My experience at the hotel was not pleasant. When you first go in to travel center to the men's room the only working urinal had serious plumbing leaks. The toilet stall had a shower curtain for a door The girls in the travel center were very helpful and very respectful. Wish I could say the same about the motel manager. I believe her name is Gayla. She is very disrespectful and un professional. Normally the hotels I stay at the check out is 12 o,clock.she came to the door and told me very rudely that checkout was at 11 and I needed to leave. The time was 11.08 so I got my partner and left. .In the whole place we were the only one. Because of circumstances we had to stay again. I went in and paid for another night. Next thing I know she is at the door telling she has already told me checkout was 11 I had to tell her to check the computer that I paid again. She is in desperate need of more training.

I rented a room and gave a $200 deposit. I didn't break any of the rules, and I was supposed to get that back in 2-3 days and have yet to receive it

I'd leave a one-star review if the review was just for the food. This place has, without a doubt, the worst gizzards I've ever experienced. I already know I'm eating the garbage part of an animal, but did they have to make them taste like literal garbage? It's like chewing funky-tasting drywall. I've no doubt it's a recipe issue, because each and every one of the 5 gizzards I forced myself to keep eating tasted (and felt) the same - dusty, dry, awful. No salt in the batter either, apparently. They were neither fresh nor old, but even if they were old, I'm no stranger to gizzards left under a heat lamp and these weren't that. They're just... awful.

My husband stopped here last night because he is a truck driver and needed a place to do his 10 hour reset. He said that the young ladies in the deli were the rudest people he has came in contact with in a very long time. He asked for a sandwich with Longhorn Colby Jack and she literally said "I am not opening that cheese just for you." (Kind of thought that was the point of a deli.) She then rolled her eyes at him when he asked for a sandwich.The other lady was rushing him to check out in a very rude manner. She kept saying "Excuse Me" to him until he paid for his sandwich. When he went to the counter of the gas station the gentlemen at the register was just as rude. As my husband was leaving he said "I am not sure why anyone would want to stop here."My husband said that the sandwich was not good at all. He said he could have made a better sandwich at home. The pasta salad was not good at all. And the homemade ice cream had no flavor.What is sad is that we he got up this morning, he did not even taken the time to go inside for anything to start his day. He waited until he got to the next stop.Come on guys. This is pathetic. You are paid to do a job. Not saying you have to be over the top friendly, but at least offer a service that is worth paying for.

I try to stop here as I pass by. It is a nice place to sleep and the store is a bit crowded but it does have Items you can find at trinket shops. The people are friendly and the food at the deli is good. It is made with pride and they strive to make it the way you want. I really like to stop here for the JELLY BELLY beans, and the hand lotion that smells like roses. The prices are within reason and the store is clean.

Great place.Pizzas are so tasty.The hot bar... When it's open is really good, and the sandwhiches are really good too.Prices are reasonable. And the soda coolers are nice and cold. I've never gotten a "warmish" soda or beer.Staff is always nice. And always super friendly.Great place. Great environment. Good prices.
