This vet is a joke. I was very upset because I asked them not to flush my dogs ears or stick anything down there. They did an ear swab without my consent. Then my dog comes back in and she's shaking her head from left to right and can't stop. I simply asked them to look in her ears then we would go from there. But nope didn't listen. I confronted the Dr about it as well. They put her on 3 different medications for an ear infection and I never heard of that before. I returned the medicine and I decided to bring her back up to Horton animal hospital in Columbia where she has always gone. They gave her the same ear drops as usual and she's doing so much better now. No oral medicines at all. The vet didn't even understand why she was put on oral medicines because her ear infection wasn't even that bad. I will never go back to lake pet hospital again. Medicines with side affects such as seizures and kidney problems. People please look at side affects before putting your dogs on so much medicines. They don't tell you about them so as pet owners we need to be aware. I also want to add that they did not clean the room in between pets! I was waiting on line to pay after we left the room that went to the lobby and they left the door open. 5 minutes later another dog goes back! Every vet I have gone to cleans rooms in between pets!

If I could rate it 0 stars I would this is the second time that I have been there and no service and beware that after 4 o'clock they will charge you Emergency fee of $250 The communication and lack there of is poor to negative poor. They told me they did not close till 5 but what they failed to tell me was that the Doctor leaves at 4 unless you want to pay the emergency fee. Poor poor poor on service!!! Highly NOT recommended!!

Honest to goodness some of the most whole hearted people I've ever met. They talk to you like your animal is the most important critter in the world. From doctors, technicians and receptionists they are all the absolute best. We had three different vets for each of our animals. Originally came here for an emergency visit and have completely moved over all of our animals here. Could not recommend anymore.

I went there for my pup appointment. My pup with a $300 bill that should’ve been $55 for office visit. I had a gut feeling that Lake Pet Hospital in Eldon misdiagnosed my pup so I took her to a different vet and the vet I took her to confirmed that my pup was not positive. I spoke with lake pet hospital hoping they would make it right and they didn’t care and was very unprofessional. Be aware!

Loved them!! Their office staff are amazing and the DR was great with my labs! I have pretty big dogs and the staff were patient with the boys and their drool everywhere! Vet didn’t try to sell a bunch of things the dogs didn’t need and the price of the visit was super reasonable! Glad we found them so quick after moving to town.

Lake Pet Hospital does a great job we have been using them for years ! We usto raise huskie puppies! We still have 2 huskies. They are so busy it takes about 3 to 4 weeks to get an appointment!!

My female lab had a large cut on her side, I called as an unestablished patient on a Saturday to see if they could stitch her up. They got her stitched within a few hours of the day I called, kept me updated the entire time, and was so good to my baby girl :) they even trimmed her nails while she was under, and contacted me a few hours after to make sure we made it home okay and asked how she was doing. Very sweet office girls, very educated doctor & staff, and made sure I was well informed of what the game plan was for the procedure. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Staff was very nice. They did an excellent job of keeping my canine companion calm -- not the easiest task as he does not enjoy going to the doctor or to the groomer.

It's hard to get in here. I have some good experiences. But appointments are usually booked up weeks even a month out. So if ur doggo is sick and u don't want to pay an emergent fee, take them else where, but if u just need routine things this is a good place. Also the grooming service is really good.

Very disappointed. My dog who is only 16wks old was injured by accident with a Pic axe to the head ....they refused us services after we explained we didn't have the money up front !we asked to be put on a payment plan and was denied .our dog like most peoples pets are like our childrenTo be denied medical services is cold and uncaring

They are empathetic and professional vets and staff. We had a bad experience with a previous Vet but the staff at Lake tried to save our Pewee but she died. This staff worked on our cat but due to the previous Vet she died. Lake Hospital in Eldon is truthful and honest. They care about our pets.

My teen daughter worked there for almost 2 years and the place would be great if you could get rid of Dr. Kathy (the owner) I am also a breeder and the first litter I sent to this place 3/4 of my litter died because Dr. Kathy could not figure out and just claimed sometimes you have die offs but I chose a diff Dr. At her clinic that only took a moment with routine exams to figure it out and informed me and saved the rest it was something so simple and taught me a lesson but Kathy was unconsoling about her mistake. I should have known when I sat in the waiting room and experienced a man histerically mad because he brought his dog in for help and when he came back he found they uthenized his dog without communicating with him or anything and just tried to justify it at the desk and treated him like he was the problem. Then I find out from my daughter who worked there they placed my dogs on a vicious dogs list when there has never once been a problem. Ever since the other vet office closed in eldon and lake pet got an influx in business they have become conceded raised their prices and even charging emergency visits during work hours when it used to just be an office visit fee. I was forced to take my recent litter to osage beach clinic to avoid that extra fee because when pup's are born they need tails docked and dew claws removed fast or it becomes a surgery and lake pet can no longer accomodate my needs due to over schedule and raised prices so osage is cheaper and don't charge emergency visits for walkins and much cleaner and professional. Every time Kathy docked my pup's tails I always had to go back because she never stitched up and I have had several pup's crying for weeks after because cartilage and bone it still revealed and bleeding. She always had an excuse but other doctors at her clinics rolled eyes and said just ask for me from now on. I'm sorry but Dr. Kathy is out dated and does not care about anyone other than her own interests would not recommend and if you do go ask for someone other than her. She would not still be in business if not for her other doctors.

Dr Kathy is the best. Very caring and will treat you pet like her own. Very friendly and helpful staff. They will even call and check on your pet after receiving care to make sure it is doing well.

This place is amazing. We are not customers of record, we are from Illinois but had an animal emergency and they worked us in because they really are in the business to help animals. I've never seen better top notch care and communication with the owners!!!! Definitely a hands on establishment!

I had 2 sick cats, with upper respiratory nfections. My male was really sick. I was afraid he was going to make it.The staff is friendly and caring. The Vet takes the time to talk to you.I highly recommend them.It's where the truly care for your pet's.

Great veterinarians, attentive to concerns and needs, they take time explaining and best of all there fees are most competitive we’ve found. Our dog got hurt and they worked us in with just a few minutes to wait. Kudos to office staff too!! 😃

We go to a different vet clinic so I cannot comment on their veterinary care.We visited them for grooming services. This was or first time at this groomer so I want sure what to expect.The grooming facility is located next to the clinic in a separate building. It is very nice and appears clean and well kept. Parking was located so that the entrance was easily accessible. The entrance is accessible for wheel chairs. I was immediately greeted by a staff member who seemed to be right on top of things because she saw my dog's breed then greeted him by name. The groomer was there immediately to meet us and then my pup was whisked away to prepare for his turn. The receptionist asked what style I preferred for his haircut and told me she would call me when he was ready.A couple of hours later she called and said he was ready. I was very satisfied with all aspects of his Care and his haircut was exactly what I asked for. He walked in there looking like a hairy and disheveled pile of fur with legs. He left there looking like a new dog. Yay! I think I have finally found out forever groomer.

Amazing staff they really did a great job on an emergency for my dog. Staff really goes above and beyond. They even took the time to call twice to check on my dog. It was only 100 dollars for an emergency visit the day after Thanksgiving. I was amazed you just don't get service like that anymore. Kudos for real

I did not want to go there. But, my kitties were super congested and needed help. They told me I only had to bring one cat in, so I took the two babies. They gave me meds and showed me how much and told me how often to give it to the kitties. They are all well now.Edie, over 20 years old is going in later this month. I will let you know how it goes. As you know from my other comments, I don't particularly trust them. So for Edie, I am allowed to go with her. I feel better about it.

I actually give them 0 star rating. I brought my cat in for an emergency surgery from a dog attacking her. Everything was great the first day. They fixed her and took care of her. The following day they called to check on her to see if she was eating and drinking. She wasn't eating yet, but she had urinated on herself in her bed. They asked me to bring her in. They gave her meds to make her eat and fluids. After I got home she started breathing rapidly, meowing, and restless. Something definitely wrong. Called to let them know and I thought I should bring her back in. They told me she was just anxious from being at the vets. I told them no, something is definitely wrong. She is in a lot of pain. They told me to watch her a couple of hours. I did against my better judgement. She died. I even told them she was showing signs of an allergic reaction to meds. They denied it. So please, you know your pet better than they do. If something isn't right. Take them to another vet.

I love Lake Pet. They have seen all my babes for regular check ups to the harder parts of animal ownership. They are caring and thorough. My puppers get great service and attention. Ive seen most all the vets and so far all are great as is every Stagg member there.

I left a message to set an appointment and NVR herd back from them. If they reached out I wouldn't be so upset. They still NVR contacted us and if they do for whatever reason I would NVR take my animal there after that experience. Horrible service
