Awesome little place. Incredibly fast. My last stop there i dropped off my truck thursday night after hours. It was having a death wobble and some brake issues. They had it diagnosed, got parts, and fixed by friday at 4. Great place great people.

Wonderful family owned business in Jefferson county. They are a State inspection station, offer mechanical services, and have great pricing on tires. With the great pricing, friendly service, and a sleepy shop dog... You can bet I'll be back. Thanks for the top notch service.

I'm one who believes a review of a business is either 5 star or 1 star. A business is either attentive to their customer's, or they could care less. I recently had some work done by this family owned business, and Taggart Automotive gets 5 stars! They go beyond what is expected. I believe they are honest and trustworthy. They answer your questions from many years of experience in the automotive industry. Most of all they are human beings that care about the customer's. If I could add stars. I would. I would recommend them in this way, " to anyone I know, just try them. They are fair and reputable. You'll see I'm telling you the truth. You'll say what I said, thanks Nick! I really appreciate your quick attentive and speedy service. You'll be my first choice in the future.

Went in for an inspection & was in and out within 15 minutes. They also tighted a bolt that was loose on my door free of charge. I had no idea since it has always sounded like that & now my door is completely silent! :)Service: Vehicle Inspection

We took our sons new truck her...well new to him to get the brake lines replaced. We were quoted $250.00-$300.00 and mid job we get a call that the small rubber lines needed to be replaced. Not being told how much more it would cost it ended up more than doubling the original quoted price for something that took probably 30 minutes to do. Very disgusted as our son has worked hard and budgeted for the repairs to be done and it ended up costing him more than double what he budgeted. We love to shop local. But will definitely ensure nothing gets taken back to them, so our son or us don't get taken advantage of again.Service: Brakes

Love it here. They are very helpful, and it's a more intimate experience given that you see the same faces every time! Lovely people with good intentions. I always feel uncomfortable bringing my car to dealerships, and when I bring my cars to them I trust them 100%!

After much work, much cost and disappointing results with other places (national chain places were the worst), my husband and I found Taggart Auto. Finally found a place we trust. Quality, fair price, trust worthy. I only recommend them for auto repairs in the area. Had a friend take my new (to me) used car in for simple safety inspection and the guy at Taggert told him that I should have gotten a salvage title because my new $9000 vehicle needed a whole new transmission. Quoted me thousands, and at least $500 for the repairs they said were necessary to pass it on the safety inspection alone. Had me in tears on the phone believing that I totally got scammed and ripped off on my vehicle purchase. As it turns out, a much more realistic estimate and repair on the safety inspection issue cost me $120 for parts and labor. And the transmission-perfectly fine, the only issue was a crack in the transfer case that was able to be repaired for around $200. They were ready to order a transmission for me the day it went for inspection which would have been about $2500 for a used one and that's if they were even able to find one used,and upwards of $4000 brand new-without labor! Wow! I'm quite sure if I had given the go ahead to order I never would have known that none of those major repairs were necessary, nor would they have been completed for no reason. I'm pretty sure they wouldnt have refunded the unnecessary parts and the labor? Well I guess they could've named any price they wanted to at that point. So disappointing that I know now how I totally wouldve been taken advantage of by this business.So much for supporting the local guy for the sake of supporting a small family owned operation. Yikes!

We've had nothing but good experiences from Taggart Automotive. They are honest about the repairs that need to be fixed, they have told us what needs to be done right away vs. what can wait or is optional. They explain the "whys" and will take us into the shop to show us specifics if we wish. We've saved money since we began going to them about 12 years ago and would highly recommend them.

After our first visit which was super we took our truck in for oil change and now our option has changed. Let me explain: we bought the oil & filter, air filter, cabin filter and asked for them to get the gas filter. They charged us over $100. To replace the air filter they charged $10 ??They charged $30 to change the cabin filter now today we went back to our regular mechanic as we were having problems with the defrost and found out there is 2 not l cabin filters. Taggart did not inform us just charged us. We will not go back
