We loved our stay! I strongly recommend asking for room C29 it’s perfect. Right next to the tennis court, with a beautiful balcony that felt very private. The room we stayed in was better than most two bedroom apartments.

This place was absolutely wonderful. Though I only stayed one night, the front desk clerk was amazing. She was very nice and knowledgeable, as well as accommodating. The room was amazing and well worth the money spent. Though I didn't see any resort fees in the posting from Priceline, they were expected, but not unreasonable.Could be that I was there off season, but I have high hopes for this establishment and plan on staying there in the future.Rooms: Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two kitchens even!!!Safety: Guard at the front entrance after a certain time.

This is a hidden gem!!! Just recently returned from a trip. We come here as a family each year. It is such a great place to bring a large family. The rooms are always clean, the towels are always so soft, and there is so much to do around the property. The best part is the amenities and recreation activities are free so you don't have to worry about cost if you want to do something multiple times. Good thing too, because my kids played mini-golf probably 20 times in 2 days. I know we will be back!

My wife and I stayed here twice. Both times were nice. We had a room where the back faced the woods. No one could see our adult activities on the balcony!!! We did a little fishing. The back pond needs to be cleaned really badly. Way to much stuff growing in it to fish. The big lake is nice, but you can't get to very many spots to fish. Overall, we had a good time. We will go back.

This was exactly the vacation we were looking for! We wanted a place to get away and relax as a family. We went to the store to get groceries and then never left the resort until check out. So much entertainment was included for free from the pool, miniature golf, large chess/checkers set, ping pong, daily crafts, movie and game rentals, tennis, basketball, etc. The list goes on and on. My husband rented golf clubs and enjoyed the course. He got to rent them for a full 24hrs and ended up playing 3 rounds. The 2 bedroom condo was spacious and everything we needed. Overall, a great experience and wish we could have been on vacation longer. Such a great value for all that is included, and in today's economy for sure, that is important.Food & drinks: There was fresh free popcorn everyday in the clubhouse. We loved that. There is also a concession stand type food service available with drinks and grill items in the clubhouse.

We had a great time. The lake is a very nice serene spot, and we walked around quite a bit enjoying the property. We’ll definitely be back. A few tips - bring charcoal and lighter because they have grills outside the buildings. Also, bring your fishing equipment if you want to give that a try. I didn’t realize they had a golf course so I might bring my clubs next time. The room was great, nice large kitchen, living room, bedrooms, and bathrooms. As people have stated, we heard others walking upstairs but it was nothing to speak of. There is a bit of highway noise occasionally but we brought a fan to drown that out at bedtime. Loved it!

This was one of many properties I stayed in as an owner. My family and I had an amazing time. This facility had a great pool, you can reserve the theater for your family and they provide fresh popcorn, we karaoked, plays ping pong, putt putt golf, tennis, basketball and volleyball. I loved the activity center staff. My only complaint is the rooms are much smaller than most resorts, theperson at the front desk questioned us when we asked for more towels and didn't want to provide them. There was geese poop everywhere. I, mean everywhere on the sidewalk, in the grass on the putt putt golf range. You couldn't even take the kids to the playground. The paddle boats and canoes didn't seem clean or safe. With that being said.... the good definitely outweighed the bad. I can definitely see us returning.

We just got back from a week vacation with the fam that included 5 nights at this resort! My parents are HICV members, and we’re lucky that they bring us along! We’ve visited many of the other locations including Orange Lake and South Beach, so weren’t sure what to expect at this location but knew it would be a little different. This exceeded our expectations. The units are a bit more dated than we are used to, but everything was incredibly clean and working well (and the price point is lower). This location might not offer all the amenities of the flagship location, but it’s worth the trade off! This location was so laid back—there were days when we were the only family at the pool! Even on its busiest days we never felt crowded. We loved renting boats and fishing gear for the lake, the mini golf (free!), and all of the games you can rent for free! The grounds are beautiful as well. Especially if you love the outdoors. You can drive a loop around the lake, walk the nature trail, and lots of families were enjoying the golf course.Location: this is a convenient spot to visit St Louis (check out the Arch and City Museum if you have kids!) It’s also convenient to some really cool state parks!Staff: the staff here was so incredibly kind and welcoming.

This is one of the best getaway resorts I've been to. Rooms could be updated a little. It's weird how the master bathtub is set up. They'd definitely get more business if they let you swim in the lake and brought back camping. I noticed that some of the porches at the work buildings need to be done. Check-in was great, though. Kirsty and alice are the best team! What one didn't know the other did and they switch over the conversations well; though it would be nice if there was an option to sit down at check in, especially for those of us that are older and have problems. There were plenty of activities to do, so besides all of that, the family and I had fun!

09/17/2022 I wasn't there. Singer lane is a private road that is not excess road to state rd Jj DeSoto Missouri. I wasn't there a "week" ago either. Updated today September 18th twenty and twenty two...updated 09/25/2022 still not there all I did was call for a room price for out of town" friends". 06_15_2023 My Valle family stays there and I don't even go near this place/hack.update 7_30_2023 I am still not there. And I won't be near there anytime soon. So if Google maps can't fix this recurring problem, my blue dot will never be accurate.update 04/24 This place on the maps has been disgustingly frustrating. I am never there and I live way to close to care about what goes on there.Noteworthy details: There is no access road to highway 67 northbound to Singer lane on State Rd Jj. The hack puts my blue dot there when I am at home. I couldn't answer any questions on that business because I don't go there. My parents and my siblings lived on the East side of formerly known as "Jefferson resort ." Holiday Inn timber creek was a time share and new name . 06_15_2023.

Our families short vacation was something we will never forget. First off all the buildings and grounds were really clean and inviting like the two ladies at the front desk, Kirsty and Alice. The beds werent that bad but I loved the pillows because of how soft they were. The whirlpool tub was relaxing after a long day at the pool and mini golf course. We will be back soon and this will be our new go-to spot for local trips. Thank you staff!Rooms: Clean, spacious and the AC works really well. Our room had a full kitchen and in one of the rooms it had a kitchenette.Walkability: Everything is within a three minute walk.Food & drinks: There is a kitchen that serves items off a grill, baked in the oven or deep fried. They also have a soda fountain. Everything is an additional cost.

Had an unexpected long weekend and decided to get away for a couple nights for relaxation with my daughter and 4 year old granddaughter. Couldn’t get a decent room at the last minute at the Lake of the Ozarks but found this place in a Google search. The plan was to just relax in the pool and get food from the grill. We were told when we checked in that the grill was closed due to a broken part but would be open the next day. We tried to go to the pool that evening but the horse flies were so bad/aggressive we had to go back to the room. The next day we found out the pool would be closed all day and the grill would be closed the next 2 days. This place is in the middle of nowhere so it’s at least a 20 minute drive for restaurants and other entertainment. We fished on the property and played mini-golf but with a 4 year old and the heat that killed about 1&1/2 hours. There were no offers to compensate guests for these inconveniences. There was no attempt to bring other food in for guests. When I complained at the front desk I was told I could call the manager Monday. When I spoke to the manager she, at first, tried to tell me these issues were beyond her control and offered no compensation/refund. After I argued the point she said she would refund 1/2 of the room rate for one night. She also told me I could have played golf, tennis, volleyball or basketball and the grill & pool being closed was just one amenity unavailable. Somehow I doubt my 4 year old granddaughter would have been interested in or able to golf, etc. Very disappointed in their customer service or concern for guest satisfaction! Why would I choose to pay for 2 nights in a resort and then have to drive 20+ minutes to a restaurant for every meal and drive 20+ minutes to find entertainment.

Peacefully tucked away from all the city life. The villas are clean and well maintained. The grounds are well maintained and very pretty- kitchen in the villa comes equipped with everything you need Nice jacuzzi tub and so very nice having two bathrooms. Seen security during day and night and most definitely feels safe even to walk around. Question to management. What happened to the camp site we seen on the ground? Just curious as it looks very nice at one time too.

We had a great time at Holiday Inn club vacations in DeSoto. The staff was 2nd to none. Probably some of the friendliest we've ever dealt with. The accommodations were pretty basic and yet nice. The only complaint that I would have was the spa tub/shower in the master bedroom leaves much to be desired. The property was amazing with a nice outdoor pool, trails, golf course, and so much more.. We had a pretty good time there all week and only left a couple of times to do things outside of the resort. The staff also had fun activities arranged for the kids each day.

Currently in our first morning of a 4-night stay. From the time we checked in last night the occupants above us have made excessive noise including toddlers running back and forth in the suite to the occupants yelling at each other to the point of waking us up.We asked the front desk to do something about this or move us, and first they stated that noise during the day is allowed (after 8 AM) as long as it is not excessive. I explained that this started before 7 AM and is excessive, so the best they stated they could do is move us at a $50 charge. I explained that we should not be charged due to unruly guests, when we are already going to be inconvenienced of having to change buildings when there is snow on the ground, and it is 3 degrees outside. If you are accustomed to hotel services that offer quiet relaxation with great customer service, then I suggest you avoid this location. Not what I expect out of an IHG location.

The rooms are great, spacious. But the good ends quickly. The pool was closed unexpectedly because they couldn’t get a lifeguard. This is inexcusable on the 4th of July weekend, we had a detailed itinerary, left downtown early, and we were stuck with nothing to do for 3 hours. There were a dozen people milling around who were more upset than we were. The next day the pool hours were 3pm-8pm. So inconvenient. The food is atrocious- pizza in particular. The cheese on that pizza was the slimiest and stickiest I’ve ever had, it was disgusting. For a RESORT this frozen re-heated food is way below par, we’ve had better food from gas stations.Overall, the resort is disappointing. It’s such a big wasted area. The golf and mini golf is nice, but other than that, very little here. A lake that’s completely underutilized, has only a very simple dock. Multiple areas closed for renovations, but no work being done over the 5 days we were there. Dilapidated buildings scattered throughout the property. You’ll notice algae filled stagnant ponds as you drive in. Can’t you just put an aerator or fountain out to make it not so bad?! That to us screams mismanagement of the property. Overgrown grassy areas all around, the open space is nice but could you do something with it?! how about some trails, some scenery, some landscaping?? We will never stay here again as this was barely better than a suite at a regular holiday inn, plus this is 45 minutes out of town, and there is nothing else nearby.

This was a wonderful staycation for our family of five. Located within 45 minutes of St Louis, we had a lot of fun, most of it in the pool and on the mini golf course. Both of these events, along with a five-hole par 3 course and other yard-related games are free. It was about $30 to take out a pedal boat and one kayak for an hour. It seems to me that this activity on the lake could have been included for free because there are no other costs associated with it like many of the other activities, but it's not too bothersome. There are some arcade games inside, which is located on the lower level of something akin to a clubhouse where on the main level you can purchase concession type food, rent activity equipment, or lounge around. There is a cute little craft corner for little kids. The property itself is very well maintained, as well as the rooms, and this was a very nice touch. It is situated not far from the highway until you can hear traffic which takes away from the feeling of seclusion, this means you can also hear the occasional hot rod or car honking. The rooms are good but not great. If you have a floor above you then you will definitely hear people walking around. They are not incredibly stocked with kitchen supplies and you will not get what even most airbnbs provide such as condiments and even the likely snacks or other items in the fridge. Our kitchen didn't even have a pantry, you just have to use counter space. There were dishes and silverware and some basic cookware items, but that is about it. There was one coffee packet for the entire time that we were there, thank God we brought more coffee, but there were no filters provided. This definitely earns five stars overall for a number of reasons except for the rooms which were underwhelming with respect to what is stocked, otherwise they are incredibly clean and very well maintained. We will return at some point, and the overall high rating is namely because of how well it is maintained and the close proximity to the city which is easy for us to get to. Also though, it is reasonably priced for the amenities that you get. Any improvements would simply be recommendations for going over and above and this would include having a small convenience store or you can purchase certain amenities or snacks, etc, and it would have been really nice if there was a proper eating establishment on site instead of poolside concession stand, burgers, soft pretzels, candy bars and ice cream, etc. There is not a whole lot to drive to that is less than 15 minutes away which is either Bonne terre or desoto. All in all we had a very lovely time and if you are looking for a family getaway I think you will enjoy this place.

Nice getaway from the world. It was very clean and the staff was top notch for being such a small resort. When you visit be sure to ask for James at the front desk. He said he was new but he could of fooled me. He was the nicest front desk clerk and so very knowledgeable. The others were polite but he seemed to want to build a connection and it shows. The food was typical snack food items like pizza and hamburgers. The activities could use some updates but they do the best with what they have. The golf course was horrid! Whoever is in charge of grounds needs to be told that the high grass around the courses should never look that bad especially if your going to advertise that you have 5 holes of golf.Over all I will be coming again to see James and the Timber Creek team. It was a very delightful experience

The kitchens are the same as they were 30 plus years ago. Same cabinets and Formica counter tops. I think that this resort is the last resort to be renovated by Holiday Inn Resorts? They have burnt down several buildings to get rid of them. It’s sad. This was our favorite secluded place to visit, but now it is run down and appears to be an after thought?
