I will not support local businesses that do not provide public bathrooms. They display a sign on their door “no public restrooms”. Really….? I’m 9 months pregnant with a four year old and all I need is two cans of primer and a rest room. Shame on you! I did not support you today, but instead went to Hopson Lumber where they support their community and the bladders of their customers.

Absolutely horrible customer service and a horrible store. Do not shop here. If you have something to return, you won’t see your money I bought a key fob here to be programmed which they bragged. They could do at a much cheaper price than a dealership. The kid goes out there to try to do it and can’t figure it out and can’t get it done then they refunded me $280 on my card and I still haven’t seen the money hit my bank account. I had a really great experience here! I live in St Louis City but was out at my country property and needed to make a copy of a key. I ended up spending some extra money because they had great deals in the clearance bin.The lady who helped me make a copy of my key was very helpful. While I was there, I picked up a couple of other things. Even the checkout process was pleasant. The young man smiled and thanked me for coming in. Had a whole different feel than the big box stores.

I like the small but we'll stocked old time Hardware and I will buy from them first choice if possible, however when I first moved out here they had a older crew that was more knowledgeable they found what you needed and had it out to your car before you knew it.

Avoid this place at all costs. Drive the extra distance and go to a bigger box store. We bought a Toro auger from them yesterday and it was broken so we called to return it the next day and they will not return Toro products. It was a $500 piece of equipment that I have to reach out to the manufacturer to get anything worked out. Any of the box stores will not give you a problem at all whatsoever to make any returns. Not only is literally everything in this store more expensive than a box store they do not stand behind there customers. It was never stated to us yesterday that if we have any problem with that machine we are not going to be able to bring it back to them. That should be stated with any purchase if it's like that. Give them a call and ask them for yourself before you spend any significant amount of money at this place.

Ok, this is a bit of a rant but I can't bite my tongue any longer. This used to be the best hardware store in 5 counties around. When it was Hamel and Rowe steve rowe would make sure you got what you wanted and left happy. You could get any type of oddball or antique part no one else in the country kept in stock. Not anymore, ever since cottons bought them out its nothing more than a scaled down overpriced cookie cutter big box store with a crabby old lady at the counter. The number 1 complaint I have above and beyond any of this is the fact that they have now closed off the bathrooms to paying customers. Crabby lady at counter says it's because someone kept unrolling the whole roll of toilet paper in the commode and clogging it up. Im sorry about that but that's not my fault. People leave a construction site to go to the hardware store to get a part they look forward to using a bathroom with indoor plumbing. But I'll drive the extra distance to one that you can. And I'm sure plenty of other contractors feel the same way. If I'm not good enough to sit on your toilet then you don't need my money.

I called this morning 12/17/2021 and asked if the store had any post oak wood smoking chunks. The courteous lady on the phone was quite helpful. She couldn't find any on the main floor, but the computer said the store had 2 bags. She got my number and went hunting for the two bags. She found them stashed away in the attic and brought them down. She held them for me until I got there. I appreciate her level of customer service. I'm very pleased.

I went into this store for the first time and was in need of assistance to find what I was looking for. I hadn't been in the store for not even a minute when an associate greeted me and asked if he could help. I believe his name was Jeff, a very tall man that you can not miss. He went over the top and was extremely friendly and helpful. I will go back there again for the exceptional customer service.

I never seen excellent customer service out of any staff members that were below the managers (on avg)! But it's was a different story in Ace hardware, Great job!

Franey knew actually where we could find what we where looking for right off the top of her head. Super fantastic lady.the young man sitting behind the desk where keys are made now he is a different story. He had a friend keeping him busy, he should be trained on customer service skills as well as using more the "uhh" "what" in his vocabulary. He could have made several key sales, because you do have several cool keys to choose from but that wasn't going to happen. Really not even sure he was awake. Returning for he top draw service from Franey.

The check out attendant was friendly. That's the only nice thing I can say. Went in for shower faucet valve. Ace's organizational system made it impossible to find the valve. Representative was no help. He even looked up the wrong part number.

Five stars for saving me money and "eliminating" the need to call a plumber. My pockets weren't overflowing but my toilet was. ACE employees were helpful guiding me to the liquid plumber and snakes. It was me against the toilet and the plastic trash clogging the pipes. I won and saved $600 ones. Can I get my plumbing license now?

Typically 5 star service here --- minus 3 stars for the new face covering adherence and enforcement. The customer should be allowed to make their own health choices for their own body. I don't mind a sign, but I won't come back if I'm challenged (or forced) with my health decision making.

I went in two Saturdays ago to order a part for my oven. They said it would be in Wednesday. Went in Wednesday, they remembered me, but could find no record of my order. I reordered, got a call from the manager "Steve". He said he had confirmation of the order and it would be a "couple days". I called them yesterday 6 DAYS LATER, and was told it would be on the next day's, (today) truck. Called today, they were uoading the truck and would call when they found it. No call.So I went in, talked to Steve again. Still not here. THIS store sucks.

Management yelled and me and ran me out of the store for not wearing a mask. I tried to explain my exemption, but he yelled even louder. I have done a lot of shopping there, and they have some wonder people working there. But this is unbelievable for management to behave in such a manner.
