I came at 8 to see the rocker and the outpost, but the outpost wasn't open. I waited about 10 minutes then asked the neighbor business. They said the Outpost typically opens at 9 and that the shop keeper arrives around 8:30 most days. A shame for me, because I would've loved to have gone inside, but still a cool stop to make regardless.

Visited the Outpost on our drive along Route 66 in early May, 2023. A beautiful cabin setting for the outpost store. There are lots of things for folks to part ways with their money for. Somethings are really nice. Others are probably things you might never use. But that's half the fun. The ladies working there were friendly and helpful.And of course there is the giant rocking chair outside. How can you not want to stop and check out that. A great spot for shopping and pictures. And that's what a roadside attraction is all about. Stop in and check it out.

Good find along Rt 66 drive. This old general store has all kinds great finds. They are known for there big rocker outside, and many varieties of popcorn, including some great spicy ones. I am enjoying the jalapeños cheddar! They have many different kinds of unique sodas, like the Jones and many others, such as Marilin Monroe. They have souvenirs shotglasses, and Metal sign memorabilia. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Great place for some original merch and to see the giant rocking chair.The owner was friendly and we talked briefly about his acquiring of this place about 5 years ago.Route 66 sodas, better postcard designs than most and a full on feed store in the back makes this a truly unique place.The resident cats on site were cute too. The owner said they were there since even before he acquired the property.

This is a great small store that has a good selection of souvenirs that showcase Route 66. They have a good selection of drinks and make some fantastic tasting popcorn. They offer samples of the popcorn to try. They have the second largest rocking chair in the world out front. It was cool to see and compare the size it is compared to a Harley Davidson Motorcycle in front of it.

Cool Route 66 mercantile store outpost. It has what used to be the largest rocking chair and is a great place for cool pictures. There are many cool Route 66 souvenirs from shirts, magnets, fudge, cool souvenir soda bottles and many other items. The employees are very helpful and even will take your picture in front of the giant rocking chair. A great Route 66 stop!

Great spot just off 44 (on old historic 66) for snacks and drinks. There’s a whole case full of different types of root beer and sarsaparilla (my favorite being Route Beer 66). Friendly service, wide selection of flavored popcorn and fudge blocks. Also a decent selection of typical Route 66 souvenirs in the gift shop.

This place is great, went to see 2nd Largest Rocking chair, the outpost was a bonus. This place is hugh and has anything you might want, staff were great, came out offered to take pics for us together. They have homemade popcorn, fudge, old time candy and sodas, lot of RT 66 items, kitchen gadgets. If you have a RT 66 Passport you can get it stamped here and receive 20% off of your purchase.

It's big. Too big. We blew right past it thinking it was a sign. Turned back, passed Bob's Gasoline Alley on a back street (stop there too!) and stopped. Good popcorn and candied nuts in the gift shop. The new owner is a nice guy.

Where else in the world can you find a rocking chair as big as the one here? Close to the main highway. Cool little roadside attraction to visit if you're passing through the area!

A must stop on any Route 66 tour. Fudge confectionery, sodas from small American bottlers, popcorn, fudge and edible goodies, Route 66 memorabilia, and a plethora of items people can actually use, round out this friendly and attentive establishment.Also farmers friendly with feed and supplies for your equines, bovines and pets.And did I mention a great selection of garden knomes?!?Oh, and The Red Rocker is like the topping on an ice cream sundae. They'll even take your picture for you!Route 66 (Highway ZZ), 4 miles south of Cuba, off I-44 at EXIT 208.

POPCORN!!! So many yummy flavors! All the old-fashioned glass bottled soda pop you can imagine — EVERY FLAVOR! Route 66 souvenirs, etc. but could use more. Definitely need a better selection of Route 66 T-Shirts / Sweatshirts, gear in general. But a huge variety of other “stuff” you just can’t imagine!

Cool little stop on our Route 66 adventure. They were closed when we visited (it was getting pretty late), but the owner just happened to be working outside and opened the store for us!Neat gift shop with Route 66 memorabilia, a large selection of whimsical sodas and homemade fudges, nuts and popcorn.Picked up some flavored popcorns and roasted pecans... Delicious!!!

There is an entire cooler dedicated to root beer and another to Sarsaparilla. 4 stars because the root beer was full and Sarsaparilla only had two rows.

Went here this past weekend was just in awe of all the old time and craft sodas they have . Plus all the popcorn from regular to extremely hot ghost pepper/reaper . Different kinds of fudge and taffy just a neat little place tucked away . Will definitely be returning for some more old time sodas from my youth .

Need Route 66 souvenirs? A fun gift for a friend? they have. Their popcorn is amazing. The owner sam will make you feel like you’ve known her your entire life. Her welcoming smile and energy is a fresh of breath air. Don’t forget to stop here while traveling down Route 66 or even to just check out the HUGE ROCKING CHAIR OUTSIDE!!!!!

This store is an amazing find. It looks tiny but is huge. Owners are super nice and they carry an amazing, well stocked, orderly inventory of Route 66 items in addition to candies, assorted household items and a kitchen store. Yes, a kitchen store. Great spot to stop if you're in the area, specially if you're on a route 66 trip. Quite a selection of souvenirs and snacks/drinks. They have homemade fudge and popcorn as well as route 66 items. Very friendly and helpful staff!

Very nice little out of the way tourist trap! A large bag of cheese popcorn and fudge wasn’t worth the $50... popcorn was way too salty and fudge way too sweet... I’m not trying to be negative just honest. Just another expensive shop to throw away your money!

Very friendly and kind employees. Endless selections of snacks, drinks, souvenirs and other items you didn’t know you needed. Definitely worth the stop. Plus the giant rocking chair is a great photo opportunity.
