Very disappointing visit. Called to pre-arrange a purchase of a key fob for our car . The managers I talked with over the phone were extremely helpful and everything was going fine until I got to the store and had to deal with other employees because the manager went to lunch . Bottomline the 8 yr employee refused to order my key fob muchless program because my car has an aftermarket remote start , I explained it's the same one dealerships install. Funny thing is I had already talked to the mangers about this and it wasn't a problem until I had to deal with whomever this guy was . I made my first purchase at this store in 1977 . And never had issues with store employees until today ...

Always helpful knowledgeable staff. Staff will help with any loading of materials. They have all of your home improvement needs, from building materials from power tools electrical wiring needs, plumbing supplies, plants and landscaping equipment, supplies, garden tools, mulch,soil, paving stones, and different types of rock cover, plastics, and borders. They have a large inventiry of outdoor furniture, mums, pumpkins and gourds, straw bales, and fire pits and terra cotta chimeneas in various sizes and bases to set them on, wood pellets and kindling. The list goes on and on. If you can't find it at Westlakes, you probably dont need it.

Though a bit on the pricey side, Ace is always full of great products with a small- business feel. We are always asked if we are finding what we are looking for, the store is always clean, and the staff is friendly.

After many attempts at getting keys made at other places, I heard absolutely 💯 good things about Westlakes, so I went in today to make a spare house key, they nailed it first try...didn't have to return , no stress of keys not fitting....definitely will be back next time I need a key made

Let's face it: you either like or dislike hardware stores! We like going into this hardware store. Staff is excellent and helpful. Variety of retail products is very good and prices where they need to be; competitive. During this pandemic time, we didn't see a shopper or staff person without a mask. Strongly recommend.

The Westlakes on Business Loop never lets me down! The staff is friendly and helpful, items are always well-stocked and fairly priced, plus you can save more with an Ace Rewards account! I buy Nature's Miracle to clean pet messes here by the gallon and it's more than $5 cheaper than anywhere else in town! Store is clean and well-organized. I was needing help for a project and 2 of their employees and their manager went above and beyond to get me exactly what I wanted!!!

FIRST CLASS. This store reminds me of stores of my youth. Laid back, knowledgeable staff, awesome selection. I had a home improvement project and a staff member literally walked me to each item on my list until i was satisfied!! That is excellent service. Great key making setup too. I recommend highly.

The customer service is great at this location! The prices are comparable to other home improvement stores in town. Although the stock is smaller, you don't have to spend 10 minutes searching for an employee. The paint department manager, Eric, is awesome. He's very knowledgeable about the products and offers great tips!

Excellent customer service. We were having a difficult time trying to locate scroll saw blades. Two staff members assisted and blades were located!Asked several times while shopping if we needed assistance locating anything. Appreciated the friendly & helpful service.

Good staff, fairly large for an ace. The only thing I don't like is the parking lot. Just be careful and drive slow. They also occasionally have a flowers area, but if you are looking for that go to Walmart. Same goes with spray paint, less expensive at Walmart than Ace.mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

While Westlake Ace is not a traditional, small, old hardware store, it's still very different from the big box home centers. The staff here all knows there stuff, and are always happy to help. They are still big enough to have a great selection of things, and some focus areas you won't find in the big stores (for example, grilling accessories including a good variety of wood chunks and chips for smoking).Also, it's worth noting that Westlake does LP tank REFILLS rather than just having an exchange rack, so you can get 20# in the tank rather than 15#.I've found that the service and selection is consistent across every Westlake location I've visited.

No one helped me. I had to walk all over the store until I found what I was there to buy. Cashier was very nice at store on Business Loop. Opposite of the experience I had at the store on Worley! An Employee helped me and the Cashier was nice!

We were greeted and asked if we needed help just after walking in. He took us to the item we were looking for. Also found some very funny greeting cards and some hard to find little round batteries. This store has an old-fashioned atmosphere. Much more interesting than going to Walmart.

Friendly people, easy returns. Wasn't sure if I needed a 21 mm or 20 mm socket guy said that I should take both and just return the one I didn't need. Try to use these guys when I can as unfortunately been using amazon too much and local businesses like this need our support. Since the pandemic, Kudos to these guys for having taken good steps to make sure customers feel safe before it was required by city of Columbia. (employees have masks and clear social distancing guidelines)

There was a clerk I think his name was Eric that counted the minutes down starting when I walked in the door. As soon as I walked thru the door I asked what time they closed and where were boot trays. He told me in 15 minute and isle 18. That is where shoe racks were. He followed me telling me 10 minutes, 8 minutes, 5 minutes and so on. I'm familiar with this store since I've shopped there for 40 years. I only needed a couple of things and knew where they were. I know I walk slow, due to a bad back and knee, but I didn't need this clerk following me and rudely counting out minutes. I checked out at 3 minutes to 9.
