We took 2 of our huskies for a bath, blow out and trim since they have longer hair. The first appointment they cancelled due to training, and were not able to reschedule for 2 months. So I scheduled them at another place in between so they would not have to go as long but decided to go ahead and keep this appointment as well since it’s been so difficult to get grooming appointments anywhere. They were there for over 8 hours. They bathed them, did not finish blow out and brushing or trimming. One is actually worse than when we took her in. When the groomer contacted us for pickup her suggestion was to shave them, otherwise it would take multiple appointments and be expensive to get them completely done. A groomer should know not to shave a husky unless medically necessary. This is certainly not the first time they have been groomed but by far the worst. Would NOT recommend!!!!Today we found this spot on one of the huskies we had groomed! Was not there prior to grooming.

Took my dog here to board for the 2017 eclipse when we were in town. He had a wonderful time and appreciate the fond memory of him when he was my travelling companion then. God bless you.

Great staff, great environment and friendly! Team helped out the kids on a good dog that they fell in love with in 30 seconds! Go see Janet! She is not only great with dogs. But kids to!

This weekend was our first ever boarding experience for us as owners and for our 2 1/2 year old German Shepherd. Our pup has extreme separation anxiety and is temperamental around other dogs- to say we were nervous is an understatement. The Pet Fair's amazing staff left us blown away! Not only did they send me daily updates with pictures to make us feel at-ease, but our boy left acting completely normal. The drop off went smooth, he was fed/played with/loved on, and thoroughly enjoyed his stay! We will most definitely be taking him back and will be recommending The Pet Fair to all pet owners in the area. Thank you for everything!

I’m surprised this place has such a good overall rating. The grooming is overpriced and dogs aren’t given water or let outside to pee when they’re there all day getting groomed. Boarding dogs aren’t let outside nearly enough so that’s why they go home smelling like urine. They only get to go out 2 times a day when the place is closed for holidays. Oh and don’t count on staff to properly dispense medicine, even if you put it in a pill organizer. The owner, Josie, only cares about money, not the actual wellbeing of the animals. If you love your pets, don’t take them here.

I have no idea how my Pets stay went! I dropped off (and ensured them all paperwork was completed..ugh) and they took our 3 dogs to Penthouse Suite. I only found out TVs were broken when i raised the topic! I called to check on them the next day and the lady went to the back to ask then said they told her they were doing "pretty good" What?? When we picked up there was a blanket over the window of the Penthouse with no explanation. So staff couldn't even see our dogs. What?? $500 and never again!!!

I’m a veterinarian who’s been in the pet care industry for 22 years and I have never had such a poor experience, marred by horrible communication and an utter lack of honest and fair business practice. We recently boarded our two dogs with The Pet Fair for the first time and although things started well, it was a complete disaster once the dogs were dropped off. We were quoted $39 for our first dog and $30 for our second dog, to stay together in a room for a seven night stay. At the drop off they did not have our reservation in the schedule. This was odd because I had spoken with them on the phone 2 hours earlier to confirm the reservation we had made weeks ago. The gentleman who helped us was very nice and explained that someone must have accidentally erased the reservation. Then he gathered all of our information, went through pricing, and took the container of our dogs food. Unbeknownst to us they had apparently wanted the food in individual bags, but at no point was this information ever relayed to us. If we had known, it would have been done. However, he said that since this was our first time boarding with The Pet Fair there would not be a charge to put the food into individual bags. Two days into their stay we receive a call that they did not get our vaccination records, which we had emailed prior to the visit. The email address that they had provided was incorrect. I explained this to the woman who called and told her we would resend them over right away. For some reason they continued to call both of our phones every five minutes, asking for the records to be sent, which didn’t really make much sense since I had already talked to them. And finally when I went to pick up the dogs , the price for the dog stay was $250 more than what they had quoted us. We explained that we had gone through all the pricing at the time the appointment was made, and then again with the gentleman at drop off, we had everything written down. The woman checking us out simply said he had given us incorrect information, AND that we were also getting charged for putting our dog food in individual bags. I tried to explain that this was not right and that they should honor what they had quoted on two separate occasions, but she said “no”, they were not going to do anything,Wow, I’m sorry but that’s really bad! Kind of in shock about it to be honest.

Would not recommend this place at all. We took our dog here to get a grooming. They told us one price on the phone and then when we get there they almost doubled it. After we got our dog back they made excuses about why they didn't do certain services fully, which their reasoning didn't even make sense. Wasn't until we got home that we noticed they nicked him in certain sensitive areas. While those things can happen they fact that they didn't even mention it to us was very unprofessional. So many other places in Columbia so IMO take your pet to a place that actually cares for your pet

Front desk lady (not the owner) had bad attitude. They sent wrong time for us to drop off the dog and didn’t take our dog because that they sent the wrong time and we were “late”. They rescheduled us and we drop off our dog 5 minutes later and they refuse to accept our dog. All the dog’s vaccines are up to date but they said one is expired. We plan to send vaccine proof later but they won’t accept. I don’t know if it is racism or for what. It wasted our valuable time! I will never choose this business. Never had this experience before!!! So unbelievable!

Took great care of my dog while I made a last minute decision to go on vacation. My dog is very shy and they took great care of her. Will be using there services again when I need to go away.Also best dog nail trimmers around. Everywhere I go they don't cut enough and they did without making her bleed.

I have spent 2 years with Pet Fair for both boarding and grooming. The flexibility, care, and attention to detail that they give to the animals in their care is phenomenal. Highly recommend any student or individual in Columbia to go to pet fair for affordable boarding and precise grooming.

We decided to do a trial run to get our dog used to this place in preparation for a trip we are planning.We booked him for the price of two nights in the premium "suite" with the intention of him being there for one night and a full day. They guaranteed us that he would have his own suite room and that he would be there for the entirety of his stay. We decided to come and get him a little early. When we came to the counter, a young woman employee was evasive, and bee-lined to the back to grab him quickly. We followed her only to find that he had been moved to the back with all the other dogs and another dog was in the suite we had booked for him.We were floored. They explained that another dog had a reservation...OK then why did you allow us to book it in the first place? The woman who went to get him was rolling her eyes at us while we were explaining why this was unacceptable. How are we to even believe that he spent any of his time in the suite we booked for him? If only he could tell us!We cannot trust this place again, and cancelled our two week holiday reservation with them. We will be avoiding at all costs.

Excellent experience. Jaime and the whole staff are wonderful. Walter came out happy and looking better than ever. He's not a easy groom, we've had less than acceptable experiences elsewhere in town, not here. Again, the grooming looked wonderful, Walter came back not stressed out and that makes me not stress out - and the price, very fair! I recommend them.

We have boarded with the Pet Fair for years. They are kind, our dogs have always loved their stays there and they are reasonably priced. This is the best place to board in Columbia. They send pictures if you request to check in on your dogs.

We've been going to The Pet Fair for several years for both grooming and boarding and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and treat our pet like their own. Great place to go.

Had a last minute emergency that caused me to need to board my pup for a little bit and they were as helpful as possible on short notice. My dog is not the easiest when it comes to dealing with strangers but the folks at pet fair did their best with her and that's all I can ask. I will definitely use them again when the time comes.

Our first stay, but not our last! We were so happy with the care & attention that was given to our "Elvis" by the friendly staff. When my husband dropped him off on Friday he was asked if Elvis would want to be bathed before being picked up on Sunday, not only did they give him a bath but they also did some grooming with no extra charge for those services. We also appreciated the "report card" that came home with Elvis. He looked so handsome, not like some "HOUND DOG" Thank you, thank you very much!

We LOVE The Pet Fair. They worked closely with our vet when some small hiccups happened when we were out of town due to some technical errors with vaccination records. They handled everything calmly and updated me and asked me before doing anything. We were 5 hours away but i felt completely confident that they were being taken care of! One of our girls, Kiki, is a rescue and has many fears and triggers, they reported that she handled everything like a champ and she came home completely happy and healthy. Both of our girls, Olive and Kiki, can be a handful but the staff at Pet Fair handled them great! We have already booked our stays weekends in advance.

Was able to walk-in with my pooch to get his claws trimmed. Note, though, that the groomer may or may not be in, so do call ahead just to make sure. Friendly people and know how to take care of our fur-babies.

Very friendly and great with calming him down before he got his nails trimmed, even gave Duke a handkerchief to wear after. We did a walk in and did not have to wait. Definitely going back!

Waited 4 months to get in, no one said anything about a shot record. Thought I was going to drop them off. Nope, they would not take them. Instead I was late to work and had to burn sick time because I had to take the mutts home.

We boarded our 14 year old Shih Tsu for 10 days over spring break and we came back to a refreshed happy dog! We were worried about boarding him because of his age but it was obvious that Josie and her crew took fantastic care of him! A+++
