I was not pleased with the employees who loaded my order(40+ 2x4's, 12 2x6's and a dozen sheets of plywood) into my trailer. Their inexperience made it take a lot longer to get loaded. The forklift operator also dragged the forks on the railing of my trailer when he didn't need to. This scraped a ton of paint off exposing lots of bare metal. My purchase could have been loaded by hand in 1/2 the time it took the 2 employees to figure out how to load me without actually having to touch the wood. Next time I'll bring a friend, load myself and skip the damage to my trailer.

Ive been blown away by the staff!! Seth, Roy, Garrett, Giovaney!! These guys are the ones to work with!! They have been graciously, with a lot of knowledge of the store and products; helped me over the past month get all the tools and supplies needed to build my husband an awesome deer stand!!

Poor customer service.I asked for helping finding something and the 3 employees standing at the counter had to call someone, who came to help about the same time a customer was helping me find the product.And then I came back to make a return and the line was out of the door without exaggerating.If you’re a contractor, time is important because you’re on the customers dime and they don’t need to pay for Home Depot having poor customer service. In the end we as contractors have to eat this time to maintain our great customer service.

Went to pickup a online order. Kelsy was amazing helping me find the order. Then left the help desk to walk out to the parking lot and help me load it. By far the best customer service I have ever experienced at a home depot store. Columbia location has earned my business back that other towns have lost.

I was in there last week. I have no idea what’s in the water there, or how leadership is failing, but not a single floor employee was pleasant at all.I’ve seen better eye contact from 3 year olds that just made a “painting” on mom’s car. Seriously these guys have mastered the art of walking about with trinkets in their hands looking “too busy” to be bothered. Every one of them would divert their eyes and quickly walk away when I was looking for help.I had one employee ask another if he could help me and he went into a list of things he had to do first. When employee 1 then tried to help me, she only gave me a product from a cage, and when I asked for help to buy another she said it wasn’t her department as she walked away to never return.I will say their app is nice and accurate for finding things on your own. It’s a good thing too because I did a lot of that.I was excited and ready to redeem the experience when I heard an employee explaining a BOGO on power tools and asked if I could get in on the deal. The employee had me pick from the big sign on the cage and then retrieved all the items for me telling me I was all set.I went to check out with approximately $400-$500 of tools only to be told I had selected the wrong tools from the cage…. 😑My whole cart was then taken away and I was told to go back to the power tool cage and wait to be given back the proper tools. It was like playing an irritating video game and suffering 10 levels of hell to get to the end and have the console reset.At this point I was pretty mad. I went back to where my cart was put in timeout and asked permission to purchase the one item I actually needed to get my work done for the day (a $6 tube of sealant). I was offered the tube for free, with some generic excuses regarding “short staff”. At this point, I felt like a $6 tube of goo for my poor experience and frustration was very insulting. I told the employee I would accept nothing from the Home Depot for free and was so upset with the experience I would waste more time to buy it somewhere better (this is not my first horrible experience).I called the corporate complaint line and was told the issue was going to be escalated. I was told a member of the management team would contact me within 24 hours. That was last week and still no call.So apparently the store doubled down on the insult.I recommend if you’re in Columbia you hit up Westlake’s Ace Hardware. I found similar sales and way better personal sales experience there.

Most known for its extremely large variety of well everything to do with your home, garage and lawn etc. If your remodeling your home or you just want to do a few touch ups here and there. It does in my opinion have more of the older model replacement parts and if your just looking to replace that one part and not wanting to dish out extra money to get a brand new item then this store is for you.

I love the employees here! We bring our kids and they are always so nice to them. Great selection of anything needed for gardening. Cleaning supplies, storage etc. Included is a picture of a succulent arrangement I made, all products from homedepot. Even the rug it's sitting on. Lol

Normally a great experience yet when we came to pick up a large delivered item, we waited over 45 min because the person using the forklift was too busy stocking wood to stop and help. After this long period of continued asking, Rose stepped up and went to do on her own with a pull lift. She is tiny and our order was not. Alongside her, cashiers, Andrew and Rafeal stepped in to help, who recruited Rustin to use the small loader to get it on our trailer. Thankful for these 4 and not so much for the forklift guy who was very much annoyed we asked him to help.

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. We bought flooring and installation from Home Depot for our new place. The flooring guys come in to install, and they uncover some cracks on the floor (that required some leveling, yes, but I find out from other experience experts that it’s nothing beyond a flooring specialists expertise). We were already aware of and fixing some foundation issues. After they had already ripped up my floor in the living room, they say they can’t proceed with the install until this is fixed, and it’s beyond their scope to fix it. Fine, whatever, I’m thinking it’s because their work is supposed to have a lifetime warranty that they’re extra picky. They instruct me to just give them a call when it’s fixed and they’ll get us back on the schedule. We have them rip up the rest of the floors to ensure there’s no other issues that would hold us up, get all issues fixed within 48 hours, and then call to get back on the schedule. We were told installers can’t get us back on the schedule for another 2 months!!!! WHAT!? So needless to say I will not be going to Home Depot for anything else. Lowe’s, or Menards, literally ANYWHERE ELSE always. The incompetency was absolutely mind-boggling. Would give negative stars if possible.

After waiting 9 hours, not receiving a phone call, having called three times about the order. The delivery people left a shower door an three boxes of tile on my front porch. At 70 years old, too heavy for .me to drag over the threshold. Worst HD I have ever experienced.hangivapped

Didn’t have the heater I went for in stock, so I got a different one to settle.. then they also didn’t have the blower fan for the one I bought. So drove an hour here looks like I’ll have to come back again

Every single time we do curbside pickup it takes at least 20 minutes. We end up calling the store, the phone rings at least and I'm not joking 24 times, we've counted and when they finally answer they say we've been slammed. Yes I do understand being short handed and what I don't understand is they'll say our app is down. Easy solution....have an I T person fix it!!!! Geez

Nice friendly people. Store is clean. Had a good selection of dent and scratch merchandise. The restroom was clean.I did make a small purchase while I was there. We were just passing through and I needed something that other home Depot stores near where I live were out of stock. But this store had it.

I should note that like others, my issue is with the delivery and installation folks. Their delivery team made excuses on why they couldn't deliver or install our fridge and left the fridge in our garage. We rescheduled after trying to mitigate some of the issues they had made up, but on the day of the reschedule (which we also had a stove being delivered on) only one of the drivers showed up, and we had to help him get the stove in. When we called service to make sure the doors and waterline were correctly attached, after we had brought the fridge into the house ourself, they approved the service. Today when they were hours late to the appointment we called to ask what the delay was, at which point they informed us they had decided to cancel our appointment because they hadn't done the initial install (bringing the fridge into the house I suppose?). When we requested a refund on the install charge, they informed us they wouldn't do that because delivery and install were a grouped charge. I will go to Lowes for 100% of my needs in the future, as all we got from home depot was excuses and all around bad service.

This review is for Home Depot's delivery & installation services, specifically. The store is great. Their online delivery & install is NOT. 5 out of 5 would not recommend. Expect them to not call in advance as promised, cut corners, talk their way out of completing install, etc. Job should get done around the 3rd or 4th scheduled delivery, which should only take about a month or so. Pretty impressive.

Thankful for their early morning hours and easy access parking and loading areas. I have always had the help of a pleasant, knowledgeable staff willing to answer all my questions! I also find the store layout easy and manageable. I don't spend my entire shopping experience searching for items, as each isle is categorized and clearly labeled. Definitely my favorite home improvement store!
