I visited for first time today . I purchased some plants for my bettas to enjoy . It's majority saltwater but some freshwater items mostly plants I believe . The guy is a really nice person . One plant was a little smaller so he took a couple bucks off the price . Very humble very knowledgeable but in business so stop in and support local .

Marine life is rich. The Basement Reef gives us a glimpse at its beauty.Anthony, the owner, is knowledgeable, and very willing to share information and ideas. He also does maintenance on home aquariums.If nothing else, a visit to the shop to see the coral will be worth your time.

Anthony is very knowledgeable, and has worked with us on our 125 gallon fish tank. We have been through a lot together (ICK, algae,Fish quarantine) and he has has been patient and encouraging with us. Highly recommend working with Anthony and The Basement Reef!

Anthony has set up a fantastic social media presence and that's what brought us into his shop. The location is easy to get to and the store itself is exciting to browse. Visited specifically for the houseplant selection and was not disappointed. Went home with a Purple Sword and new wishlist items. We were assisted when needed, our questions were all answered in detail. Wonderful experience overall. Will be back!

Very nice store, got some fantastic saltwater fish, inverts and even some really cool house plants! Well worth the drive out to the store for great customer service, conversation and fish!

I can not say enough good things about this store. I absolutely love coming here. Anthony is so helpful and goes above and beyond to assist his customers. His service far exceeds what one should expect from a store and is not something you will get if you shop at a chain. I would give this store a 5 star review, however their tanks were kind of dirty. However, dirty tanks do not mean unhealthy fish or coral. Everything looked happy and healthy. Very nice selection of coral and for a reasonable price.

So glad we got to come to your shop! I was hoping to pick up some freshwater shrimp, but they were out. He took down my name and number and I’ll be back sometime soon! Every question was addressed kindly and professionally. The houseplants were beautiful. The owner is so knowledgeable and explained care for plants I wasn’t familiar with. Can’t wait to go back!

Anthony is extremely knowledgeable and personable. They have a wide variety of house plants, corals, and fish. Anthony was able to answer any questions I had about a variety of their plants and was happy to take the time to talk to me. I need to see if you would be interested in another tank.As far as the selection, thanks for all that you order! My tank is definitely looking better with the exotic colors of coral you have been getting in lately. Keep up the good work. This is the best reef spot in town.

Great new shop for houseplants and fish. Wide variety of plants. They have freshwater fish and salt water fish including different types of coral. Owner is very knowledgeable. Great place for people with established fish tanks or just starting out.

This place is honestly so amazing! There is a wide selection of both fish and plants, and I'm totally living for the selection of Coral they have! The owners were so friendly and knew every answer to the millions of questions that I asked. I would definitely recommend!

An awesome place to get plants (both house plants and aquarium plant). I was just stunned by their succulents and house plants. They also have freshwater and salt water fish, frags, and some supplies. Be sure to check them out!
