This place is wonderful and definitely the best option to paint pottery around Columbia. It is the most affordable and all the staff are very friendly. There are lots of options to choose from to paint, pottery pieces are affordable, and there are many paint color options. They are also timely in getting the pottery pieces back to the painter! I would recommend Pottery Island any day :)

Everyone is always so nice there! The people who work there (who I think it's usually the owners or managers) always come up and talk to my daughter and son when we are in. While it's not a place where kids can go wild (breakable objects everywhere) it is for sure kid friendly. A little pricey but great gifts for loved ones. -Stephanie Chauvin

We love visiting Pottery Island. We have been multiple times and love the variety of items to choose from. Unlike other ceramic painting studios, everything is included with the price of ceramic you purchase to paint. The workers are very helpful. They will let you work and use your own creative juices and have great ideas and helps when you ask. Plan ahead if you haven't done this before. After you paint, it takes 7-10 days to put in the kiln and be ready to take home. The variety of items is amazing. They have lots of figurines, stenciles, stamps, and paint colors to choose from. They also have a loyalty program. This is a great place to social distance and feel safe! They disinfect everything after use and there is plenty of space and material for your own supplies!

I absolutely adored my trip here! The workers were very kind and ever helped point my roommate and I in the direction of some more Adult 4/20 friendly pieces that were more tucked away from the other pieces. I appreciated their knowledge of their customer base! The instructions were clear and the prices were very typical for a place like this!

We really enjoyed our trip to Pottery Island. This was our 1st time; we took our grandkids during spring break. We all enjoyed picking out our pieces and painting them! We're excited about seeing the pieces after they're fired! Staff was friendly and explained the steps to us. Good selection of items to paint. I felt the prices were reasonable. We'll go backagain!

This place is so much fun 10/10!!! You pay by the piece you’d like to paint, which includes the paint and firing. I think its a great value. They have quite a selection to choose from, and something for everyone at different price points. (Plenty to choose from for under $20!) The environment is very chill and it’s also byob!The owners are kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. This would be a great place for a couples activity, group of friends, birthday parties, team building, really for anybody!!

Great place to go with friends! The atmosphere is perfect to come together, relax, and catch up. The owners are really nice, knowledgeable, and willing to help when needed but they don't hover. The prices are good, especially as it includes the paint and firing! I can't wait to go back!

I book a party here for my staff, BEST PARTY EVER! (i'm about 3 months behind writing this review lol) We are a small business and it can be hard to find something in our price range. They had a huge selection to choose from and the quality was awesome. They were very detailed in directions and everyone felt welcomed. 10/10

I love this shop the owners are very close to my family and are the most amazing people. They are very courteous and professional. The woman owner is a very talented artist herself and has pieces of her own that she has painted for sale up in the shop. If you don't want her pieces... paint your own from a huge selection of things. The woman is always willing to explain and show how to do a certain technique. This is an amazing family activity for all ages. I most certainly recommend for a great one to 5 visits depending on how detailed you get lol.

Great place to have a date night!! Such good people work here!! Came in near closing time and they put the radio on and said relax and enjoy. They did not rush us at all bless their hearts. Great instructions on how the paint works and beautiful examples all over the place! One day I will just have to take a full on class.

I have been to several paint your own pottery places over the years. This one is just average. The location is clean and well lit, and parking is great and accessible. However, the pieces are rather expensive, with the price of paint and supplies included in that price. Painting was fun and relaxing. However, we had to wait 8 days for our pieces to be ready for pickup. That is way longer than any other pottery place I have been to. When I got my piece back, there was chip (which could've been for any reason, accidents happen, so I'm not upset about that), and they offered to refire for me. But I did not want to have to wait another 8 days for it, so I took it as is. Besides that, it was a decent experience, I would recommend going at least once. But for the overall price and wait time, I will probably not return for a while.

True story and a 5-star rating for being welcoming, kind and helpful at that! Oh and great little place to buy premade pieces of pottery as well.
