I like that they have gift cards available ☺️ makes my life easier I was skeptical that it would run smoothly but the transaction ran smoothly.I bought some fancy water and some 🍝 spaghetti. I don't mind the big prices, I just like having a gift card with a set amount of cash so I don't have to feel the "pain" in my wallet 😋🙏Very cute products and good in store prices! Some of this water is at competitive market prices. I wasn't in the mood for fruit or veggies this time so that's why I just spent my cash on bottled water and a few more random items

Grocery store with lots of great selections. They are focused on healthy eating with many organic offerings. There is a very large vitamin selection and beauty care selection. They also have lots of interesting drinks, teas and coffees. Plenty of parking in the lot and safe location. Staff is always very helpful and quick at check outs. I am very excited to try a wine that I purchased there!

The bulk water is not filtered 100% full of contaminants and wreaks of chlorine so either the filter is old or they just sell straight tap water. Disappointing.

Olivia is the absolute best! Not only did she help me with several questions about products i had in the store today but also i have a new baby and she offered tohelp me bag everything THEN she helped me take it to the car and while i got him strapped she put them in my car for me! If there was an award to nominate employees for i would nominate her she has no idea how much this blessed me today! I wasalready really exhausted from normal daily life and this just helped me so much!! Not only that I absolutely love being able to buy products i dont have to worry about and i love their quality standards when someone doesnt meet them or changes the product they remove the product! I was bitten by a Lone Star Tick resulting in a tick born disease known as alpha gal. They have a frozen dairy free avocado dessert that is out of this world. I like all the flavors. They also have frozen dairy free desserts made with cashew milk. I haven't found one I don't like

Rarely a checkout wait. Staff is immediately called in to man added registers. Nice clean layout good products. Only reason why It doesn’t get a full 5 is that they are consistently running out of eggs. They call it a supply chain issue but this is the only store in the area that seems to be having this issue currently. Either change vendors or put the pressure on corporate about said issues. Otherwise im just wasting trips from other side of town just to see empty egg shelves so im just combining runs at Hyvee now with Aldis and a sprinkling of Mosers instead

I love shopping at and supporting a store that carries so many organic/natural products.My only complaint is that almost all of the fruits are refrigerated, and I don't like storing fruits in the refrigerator. Because of this, I've started shopping more conventional stores that don't offer as much organic produce as Natural Grocers, but that do have their fruits, bell peppers, etc. unrefrigerated. If you would ever consider selling fruits and some veggies unrefrigerated, I would love to go back to shopping the one store (Natural Grocers).

Wonderful fresh produce available. Also good selection of other items. Wish they had a daily fresh bakery of old world breads and a delicatessen of organic vegan meals and snacks. Very friendly cashiers and helpers.

This is NOT meant to be reflection on the staff who work on the sales floor/ checkout counters. But I have an overwhelming sense that this store is not managed well. Examples: During the pandemic, hand sanitizer (or alcohol wipes) were often not available at the entrance/exit point, and no one present in the store had any capacity to do anything about the situation. I've twice raised two other legitimate issues with the store manager ("Tony"), first about the quality of a particular product, then about the fact that the prices of clearance items are regularly not entered into the computer, leaving it the duty of the checker to notice that it's clearance item (twice missed, and reasonably so). Really, the same machine that prints the price stickers should be connected to the computer system, with the change/printing bringing out immediate uptake into the system. On both occasions, I really really did not appreciate this guy's attitude. Unapologetic, nonchalant, absolutely 0 evident commitment to resolving the issue in the long-term. Honesty, this dude reminds me of Trader Joe's managers in the West Coast. Maybe this particular store and this particular manager aren't representative of Natural Grocers stores broadly; I had only positive experiences at the Boise store, when I lived there 10 years ago. So I'm not sure. But I'm left with a really bitter taste in my mouth. Henceforth, not spending a dime here. Going out of my way to rely on non-corporate vendors: farmers' market, Clover's, & Root Cellar, etc :-)

I know lots of people struggle with pricing like this, but tbh, almost NO ONE sells organic healthy foods in America, ESPECIALLY dairy and produce. If you cant grow it yourself or know someone who does and will sell to you, this really is the next best thing for miles and miles around! Aldi is getting closer and closer, but this still takes first prize.

The new location is great. Bigger selection inside.However the parking is bad. Specifically the spaces are too narrow. Three SUV vehicles parked together. I could not get in my drivers side. I had to crawl over the console in my SUV. Not easy for somebody over 70 years old.I suggest when the pavement gets surfaced that the spaces are made about 6” wider. Please!Thank you.

So much goodness. From products, choices, staff, and cleanliness. Definitely my favorite grocery store in Columbia. And it goes back to staff because they are always super helpful and keep the place super clean. I also utilize their parking lot for safely meeting online vendors.

Hearing employees complain loudly about the fact customers are shopping and buying stuff makes an already unpleasant experience (grocery shopping, granted some people enjoy this activity, I'm not one of them) all the worse. I'm all the more grateful for Instacart shoppers 🙏That said...They have a great assortment of well organized and labeled organic, natural, free range, non GMO, dairy alternative, keto, meat alternative or other healthy diet products alongside an array of supplements, home and kitchen goods, and bath and beauty products like plant based hair dyes.

They have a wonderful selection of organic and natural foods - a nice array of mock meats as well. Their prices on organic produce are often the cheapest around - as is their by-the-gallon water! They staff tend to be very polite, helpful, and colorful folks. They’re always great to my kids. This is my preferred grocery store for most of my needs!!My only gripes are that like most natural grocers, a lot of their pre-packaged items are pretty pricey. Also, their vitamin and supplement section is unnecessarily large…but that’s not really my thing so I probably shouldn’t complain.

I love the produce at Natural Grocers! They have a wide selection of healthy foods that meet the needs of a variety of diets, a good selection of supplements, and outstanding customer service. The cashiers call for backup long before a line gets "too long." Their attention to customer care keeps me coming back!

I was really excited to go into this store, as I had never been. I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability. I was imagining higher prices than what I found. However, at the checkout line, I had my few groceries all laid out ready to be rung up. The lady in front of me was just finishing up. The clerk asked if she was a card member and if she’s wanted to sign up. The lady was agreeable to signing up. Great for her! The cashier actually called someone else up to the front so she could help this lady sign up. When the other clerk came to ring me up, I had to put all my groceries back into a basket and switch lines. I have never had a cashier just leave people in a line yo go help someone sign up for a membership. Apparently signing that girl up was more important than the other customers in line. While they had things I couldn’t find at my other grocers in town, I will NOT be back. Very disappointed.

Natural Grocers has just moved to a new location in Columbia, MO. It is fairly easy to get in and out of depending on time of day. They seem to have a good supply of everything but not as much as usual. I went after a stress relief tea, which they carry. Great place to go and buy food with less chemicals.

About a year ago, I moved back to Columbia after having lived in Detroit for 3 years. Coming back mid-pandemic was more traumatic than I realized. Many days, I found myself locked in my apartment, as I found myself isolated from other humans. While I knew that my circumstances were not abnormal in comparison to most everyone else… I still found my brain being intoxicated with thoughts that nurtured a demon within; mental health.As recovering alcoholic who recently celebrated 21 months being sober, a past smoker, who is now running (almost) daily, and as a person who has struggled with anxiety and depression for many years… [but has also done their best to be self-aware, while processing their thoughts in a healthy way…] - I recently added a vegan diet to the list of things I’ve found playing a positive role in the journey towards becoming a better version of myself; this very change in diet, led me to walk through your doors….Having said all that…. I want to say something:EVERY time I walk into your store in Columbia, to do my shopping… I have an experience that leaves me feeling like I matter. All of the staff are always so, very kind. They always ask if I need help. They never make me wait in line, and always come over and offer to assist with checking out my groceries. They are always willing to small talk. They pick up on my dry humor and sarcastic wit. They have even participated in it at times! They have literally left me feeling the VERY way that I truly aspire to make others feel… seen.I just want to say, that on some of my hardest days, I have felt some of the most generous encouragement from simply walking through your doors. My mental health has been beating the Hell out of me here recently, but your staff have unknowingly played a role of support that has left me leaving with emotions streaming down my face. I truly cannot say this enough, thank you.
