The front counter staff member was not at all knowledgeable and couldn't even give directions to the area she told me to go. She said she would have someone to help me, but no one was back there and the one person who showed up could only tell me to go to a website.

Absolutely terrible customer service - they truly could care less about their customers. My husband and I had never shopped at Menards before and dropped thousands of dollars on a large renovation project. The store employee ordered us the incorrect materials and then we had to pay an additional delivery fee to have it picked up and returned. Was told 2+ times we would receive a call back from a manager regarding the materials being refunded & never received calls back. Apparently management cares about you just as much as the cashiers do. Offered us absolutely nothing to make the situation right, despite the amount of money we spent and time having to fix the STORE'S ERROR. Needless to say we will not be making the mistake of spending another dollar in this store, and will go back to Home Depot where they stand behind their customer service. Absolute TRASH experience.

I want to give a big shout out to Haiden in the plumbing dept at the store in Columbia Mo. I am not able to move around very well and Haiden helped me shop and pick up a large pressure tank. He then took the tank to the checkout and loaded it for us too. That is above and beyond what I see most of the time at other retailers. Guys, he is a keeper. Thank you Haiden

Large scaled home store that can easily competes with Home Depot. The branding is very old and looks 80ish design, they should rebrand the whole chain of stores. The customer care was good, they help you not only to find a particular stuff but also give their opinions on themes and aesthetics. I recommend the store.

Been using them for years. Ordered a custom front door and paid extra to have it prefinished in white. Total cost was almost $2k. The door was a noticeably different shade from the brick molding, and there were large screw holes in the pvc molding. If I had known the colors would not matched I wouldn’t not have paid to have it prefinished. I spoke with customer service and they did not acknowledge that it was an issue or offer any kind of restitution. I was disappointed and would not order from them again.

I like shopping here. I also like the 11% rebate they have on everything in the store. the lady at the register dropped my rebate coupon upon scanning my items and didnt find it until after i went ahead and paid. i was able to get the coupon back but was unable to use it during that visit, which sort of annoyed me since i already had the rebate slip for a while, but they never expire so its all good.

Ordered everything on line for pick up. Get there, and end up having to load all the pipes, as they did not have them ready. Said that they had 100ft one inch poly line, paid for it, didn't have it. Had to go in and get a refund. Get to the truck, had a piece missing they were suppose to load. Go BACK in, they couldn't help us, were to go BACK to the back of store. Took the $13 loss and left. Won't go back

I just love Menards. I’ve been to a dozen or so of them and this was is just like the others. We get drinks and snacks and painting, staining, wood type supplies.They have everything from Tampons to Light fixtures. Always worth a stop. Good prices!

I had the best experience this morning at Menards, Columbia, MO and want everyone to know it! Not only did they have the items needed, the staff were outgoing asking if they could be of assistance (that never happens at Lowe’s or Home Depot) walked me to the products needed, and did so in a courteous manner. My experience was so good I splurged on a new vacuum the girl was so helpful not to mention the price was $70.00 less than Walmart for the same item. The specific paint item I actually went there to purchase was $5.00 less than Lowe’s and $12.00 cheaper than Home Depot. This was such a positive experience. I can’t rave enough about the helpfulness and courtesy of staff.

This has been the absolute worst experience I've had at this store. We went in to purchase a 12x24 building. We were told to customize it on their computer and it would come with everything I needed from the blueprints to every screw and nail. We were told it would be delivered in a week. Two weeks later the supplies show up. The drivery driver was not very helpful and backed one pallet into the other and damaged the door . He didn't know where the plans or book was. We went through everything and found a book with tips and tricks but no plans. We called them and got told to come in and they would print them for us at no additional charge. We went all the way back in there and they finally found them showed me them on there screen and then told me they could email them to me if I paid $499. I don't understand why I was told everything was included and I even asked about the plans before I spent 5k. Now the only way to get instructions is to pay more.The general manager Obe was no help at all in solving this and pretty much told me there is nothing he can do.I would not recommend them to anyone. They haven't even offered to fix the damaged door.

I Love this place! To be clear, I enjoy the design of the store, such as the lighting, arrangement of everything, and they usually have pretty competitive prices for most things. The stock and variety of items is usually pretty great as well. The only drawback is, while the assisting associates are in general very helpful, the check-out associates have ranged from nonchalant to borderline rude to me on numerous occasions; even in the purchase of “big-ticket” items. Considerably more times than not. Nonetheless, I still highly enjoy this place. Also, the quality of material here is good (i.e. I like the sturdiness of the window blinds as compared to all other home stores).

Mobile order pickup is in the far back corner of the store. Don't waste your time in the customer service line like I did only to be redirected. If you don't want to have to walk through the whole store to pick up one item, the Home Depot lets you pick it up at the front like most other stores, so try there instead.

Cashiers are hit or miss on friendliness. And if it's not in their department team members Re more likely to look for someone who works in that department than look for the item. I know it's a big store but I shop there less than a part timer works and I can figure it out.

I came in really excited to get some fencing materials, I left hoping I never have to go back.The employees were unhelpful and despite having a detailed list of what I needed (including item numbers) they ended up putting the wrong boards on my ticket. Their mistake cost me a significant amount of time and money. It's frustrating to deal with a company that doesn't care about their customers. What just kills me is I ended up at Home Depot later the same day. Starting there would have saved all that time and energy and it would have cost basically the same amount. I wouldnt even have to do a stupid rebate. 😪 Lesson learned.If you want to spend an hour walking back and forth from the lumber yard to customer service while everyone seems super bothered to have to do their job.. this is the place.If you're trying to get anything done go to Home Depot.

Store was clean and well laid out. All displays of power tools were out and accessible. I purchased a drill/driver set and the cashier called me down to her line and was very pleasant. She offered me the extended warranty and got me checked out in a minute. No exaggeration! Haven't tried the tools yet but the experience was great.

Daniel in flooring was superb in customer service. It was busy but he took the time to answer all our questions. He didn't make us feel rushed. Checker was very nice, too. Great store and shopping experience.

TOP NOTCH!! I know people who come here.....from OTHER towns! The staff is excellent. Product selection is staggering and rarely have I ever seen a better kept store. I also know people who consider coming here FUN and not a chore. I have never experienced anything but great service so I highly recommend this business. Basically, its just a better "all-around" experience than any other big box store in town.

Holly and the sales associate (forgot his name) were very knowledgeable and helpful !Their children's toys, were above average quality and reasonably priced.Their milk is also about 2.60, well below other retailers.The associate at the return desk was "extremely nice"!Very positive experience!

They had product displayed on sale but when I brought the item to the check out it was 2 times the price then displayed. I would say the item was out of place except for the fact that there were at least 10 of the same products in the rack under the sale display price. Also the product that was listed as the sale price item was not even on the rack

We go to Menards all the time for home improvement projects however this last experience was really good. We were looking for a new bathroom cabinet and randomly bumped into an worker (Parker, I think was his name) as he was just coming into his shift. Didn't even have his vest on yet but he immediately started helping us, looking up stock for us and also had another employee, maybe a manager (Steve, I think) help us get a cabinet down with a lift and take it to pick up. Just super friendly and followed up with us. Keep up the good work guys!

Extremely helpful!! The power was down and I wanted a refrigerator and they carried it down the stairs along with a grill I wanted super nice guy named Bryan helped me he was so helpful I asked if I could tell his manager how much I appreciated him and his hardwork and great customer service he said he was one of the managers!! He was truly awesome and my cashier James was also very kind they both helped get me loaded and I'm on my way!!

I really wish they would hire people in order to help customers. Unfortunately the powers that be, associates worth is not based on how well they take care of a customer but how many menial tasks they complete while they are on the clock. Therefore the associate will always try to casually blind themselves to someone in need in order to make their direct manager happy by having stock put up stick ol straightening up.

A worker name Don stop what he was doing and was willing to help me find what i was looking for. Good store and great staff. Even has a couple of close friends that work at the store. They lit up when i approached them. Great talk with my good friends.
