It is a tad bit expensive there but, for the convenience and friendliness of stuff and shoppers it's worth it. I shop there for myself (I love their meat selections) it's the BEST in town. My teeth are not the strongest, due to illness so it's ALWAYS tender and doesn't take much effort to chew. My favorite meat is the pork chops they frequently have on sale, I am never disappointed with them and can always eat it.Also I dash there as well so, that's where the convenience comes in. We're timed from the moment we hit the start shopping button until we leave for delivery. If I have questions about an item, the staff is always happy and ready to assist. I LOVE my Hy-Vee as does the rest of my family.

I'm disappointed. My fiancee went there to get me the creamy coconut Dr pepper. So we also got something for dinner. He picked the lo mein in the refrigerated area. Which I assume is made in house and brought to the stores. It was not great. But I still ate it anyway. Later on we both had headaches and food poisoning like symptoms, like a stomach ache. Luckily no one threw up. But it was disappointing to say the least. And the prices weren't great either 9.99 for a small container kinda sucked.

Literally THE WORST prom flowers ever. So expensive and cheap looking. I an so embarrassed to give these to my son to wear. The lady was nasty and didn't care. She said "that's how it goes" Missing petals and everything. BEWARE!!!! DO NOT buy flowers from this joke of an establishment. Not even what I ordered.

Hyvee has a special price on Kansas City Chiefs shirts and merchandise. My daughter was getting KC Chiefs clothes when she found an NFL football balloon. We bought our food and breakfast strawberries. Then walked out. We realized that we had the football balloon in the parking lot and went back inside to return the balloon. The girl working at Hyvee paid for my daughter’s NFL balloon. As a gift, She was so kind and wonderful. My daughter bought the girl working a red flower and more strawberries for breakfast. Every employee was so kind. We always liked the Hyvee near Mizzou for the Market Grill Restaurant, beef brisket, and deli hot foods. Hyvee has the best team of employees. Award winning customer service. Hyvee is a boon to the community. We recommend that you shop at Hyvee whenever you have to make the best of your money, especially for their care for customers. Special thanks to the employee that bought the KC Chiefs NFL football balloon for my little girl. She deserved a dozen roses for the gift she gave my little girl. Thank you. Rebel’s Dad

On Sunday 3/17, my sister and I got 5 pounds of Alaska snow crab, 2 pounds of crawfish, one pound of shrimp and one pound of clams. Everything was delicious except for the crab tasted like hair dye and ammonia. We called the seafood department and they made it right, we didn’t have our receipt but they still refunded us the 5 pounds of crab legs. We got all the same seafood minus the clams and once again everything was delicious except the crab leg tasted like hair dye once again. Never again will we buy crab leg from Hy-Vee ever again. Even today getting our refund crab they said it was fresh off the truck…don’t trust it. I appreciate and respect the seafood department for being kind, professional and making it right. Just don’t trust the crab legs, I don’t know if it’s the vendor or the truck, but two times in a row…not worth it.

Needed Blackberry Crown Royal...plenty and better price than several liquor stores on Columbia. Plus having a seafood sale today! Scallops at a great price! Almost left without my groceries at self checkout. Luckily there was an employee there to point it out so I didn't get home without it! LOL

The bakery ....these employees made my daughters birthday cake on a last min thing an did such an amazing job I will be returning 4 times a year for all my kids cakes idk if the cake decorators will ever see this but thank you for you skilled work she loved the baby chicken

Hy-Vee is a great grocery store that has a huge variety of all brands, and decent prices. Little known things about Hy-Vee are their kid-friendly policies -- for example, kids can get a free cookie at the bakery, free deli meat/cheese sample at the deli, and a free balloon on a stick from the florist. This little details make it much easier to shop with a toddler, and are really appreciated!

Two stars is being nice. What a very unorganized store. Oh wait, it is organized, to them but not when there are for example eggs located in separate places instead of all together (separate ends of the store). The same with oils, crackers, and a wide assortment of other items. Just an awful first experience when I cannot locate what I want. I spent a good hour and half there walking around. Ask for assistance, yes I did, and they were not sure either. I don’t think I will be back.The only good thing about it was the nice barista at the coffee bar who works the morning shift and gets off at 1pm. She was very nice and helpful. So, thank you - you helped make my day better.

So much improvement! The Blonde Barista was amazing.The morning Sushi Makers were NICE and directional in a kind way. Clean tables. Perfect Tea from the Coffee Shop. Such a great place now. I liked the morning crew's healthy personalities. Glad some morning early birds seem to be working there.I would reccommend this place for solo sushi eaters. I would reccomend the sushi because it tasted very "beautiful" and delicious.

I am visiting Moberly, my birthtown..Living in Dallas since 1969, i've been to my fare share of grocery stores.This store is in my top 3.Excellent staff, beautiful store, and excellent choices.This is the store to shop when in Columbia Missouri 😃

Slowly and steadily declining… Becoming one of the lower tier supermarkets, in town, in terms of service. More and more expectation to do your own checking, despite a poorly performing system for doing so. There is no way to efficiently purchase produce, look up items that don’t scan, or enter in your (highly touted ) rewards membership information. If you are an early shopper, and actually buy things such as… Produce or sale items,… You are guaranteed to spend your “earlybird “time searching the store for “assistance. “Sigh…. Keep innovating, Hyvee. 🙄——————-Came back (I’m an early riser, an early shopper., and a frequent shopper… and I have no other choices on my part of town) I can easily navigate the pallets of stock and debris at this hour to do my shopping (as long as it’s safe… which is a matter of opinion in some aisles. ) However, what is still an issue is the obstacles you place between the store and the money I’m willing to spend here at this time.- if I choose sale items or produce (even pre-packaged items), there’s at least a 50% chance they won’t scan ==> so I call over an unenthusiastic and perturbed staff member to help me (bc I interrupted whatever they were doing), and we muddle thru it. (The shopper in the self check kiosk next to me also needed help shortly after.)- Entering my perks number is advantageous to me as a frequent customer… And is encouraged by the store… but it is very difficult to accomplish… Again, requiring the help of the same staff member.- I wonder: Are you really achieving significant savings, by depriving your early morning customers of a checker… when the staff member responsible for that area of the store is playing whack-a-mole, and likely not accomplishing much else?- I also wonder: what about the elderly, infirm, and disabled? or other customers with physical impairments… (I am currently dealing with a wrist injury… And the repeated twisting and scanning exacerbates the issue.) We (purposeful early shoppers) arrive at these times in an effort to make the experience easier by avoiding obstacles, headaches and delays.

I usually don't shop at Hy-Vee but I was told by an employee at Schnucks that Hy-Vee had good cakes. So I decided since it was my son's bday on June 22nd, I was like let me go ahead and try them. I ordered my son a Nerf Gun Quater Sheet cake. So we tried the cake and omg it's was so good!!!!! It reminds me of this place in Columbus, Ohio where I'm from called Giant Eagle. The buttercreme frosting was just everything, the cake was so moist and good! The flavor of the cake was half white and half strawberry. Everybody else usually has 3 to 4 basic flavors of cakes but HY-Vee has a few different ones to choose from! That was the best cake I have tasted here in Columbia Period! Thanks Hy-Vee that's where I will be getting my cakes from now on!

Hy-Vee is the king of grocery stores in the Columbia area. You can find gluten-free and vegan options here. They have a deli and bakery. They also have a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat. Besides standard deli and bakery, they have Asian food and pizza. All of which are good for a quick bite of hot food and affordable.The store also includes a florist, though Im not sure if they provide special arrangements or just basics. The basics have gone over well in my house though 😉.The store is clean, staff is friendly. I've never had a negative experience at one of these stores. Even the other customers here seem friendly. I guess everyone likes to shop at Hy-Vee.
