I’m sorry but no. I have an Australian shepherd and asked for her to be trimmed up. She was shaved. She looked like a schnauzer. I am really hoping her coat grows back out normal because I feel as if they ruined it. She was cute when I picked up. I appreciate the effort but there are certain breeds that you do not shave. She is one of them and they should have known that. I also requested that they not trim her nails. I do that at home because she is a puppy and she’s a nervous wreck. They did it anyway. I will never take any dog to this place again. Solid stupidity.

I’m a very nervous pet parent due to an experience at a different establishment where the staff members were very mean to my pup, and had avoided groomers all together for almost 2 years because of it. I finally decided to take my Australian Shepherd here, and they were so amazing; they even sent me photos and videos of her throughout the day because they knew I was nervous. It eased my mind to see she was in good hands and being treated so well! I would consider my dog to be pretty anxious around strangers, especially when I’m not there, and it seems like they handled her amazingly. To top it off, she looked so pretty when they were done - they did a great job with a standard Aussie trim and the price was incredibly reasonable. I’m very impressed!

Love Groomingdales!! Their groomers are GREAT! They know exactly how to handle and care for our pup. His coat is cut exactly the way it needs to be and he smells so good when we pick him up. He is also calm but excited to see us. I highly recommend giving them a try. We had some not so great experiences with grooming before bringing him here.

Jan. 2024. Upon arriving for my appointment, I indicated I did not want the Kennel Cough, “NASAL SPRAY” treatment for my dog. So the groomer Mary called Clara (the owner) on the phone since she said it was a “required” treatment. I had brought all of my dog’s medical papers (of her shots, etc.) showing everything was up to date. Clara was extremely stubborn and insisted I had to spend an extra $20 or they would not groom my 10 lb. dog. To me, it was like a Barber that cuts your hair giving you a nasal spray COVID vaccine, as most vaccines are given as an injection by a qualified medically trained veterinarian person. The actual Groomer Mary, was great from a Cust.Service point, and she was only following the owner’s rules. Mary was highly recommended as an experienced groomer, however because of the owner alone and the owner’s attitude, I will not return to that shop.So I “walked out” of Groomingdale’s and drove to PetSmart with my dog’s shot records and they accepted my dog as a walk-in and groomed her..Lesson learned for me: Doing what is right and caring for my dog is more important to me than following a crazy rule by an owner who appears to care only about generating money for herself.IN RESPONSE to Clara (the owner)….no one cares more than I do about their pets, which is why I brought my Veterinarian papers to document proof that I care and protect my dog on a regular basis. Since you indicated that in your opinion it is a State of Missouri ‘requirement,’ please provide an “Internet LINK” (not just your written opinion or interpretation!) pertaining to the ‘statute’ regarding KENNEL COUGH vaccinations being “required” here in MO., as I want to follow the law, not interpret it…My 10-y.o. dog has only been in a “kennel environment” once, for 1-day, 4-yrs. years ago at MIZZOU after surgery there. Had she come away with Kennel Cough after being groomed in your shop, it would have shown that your shop is a source of the virus, which is maybe why you are so determined that your clients need a treatment because your kennel could be a source of the spreading virus! I am guessing, only you know the real truth…. Looking forward to the reading the LINK…

They did a great job on my boys. One is a small Maltese mix and I’m sure he’s not easy to work with and my other is a Aussie Goldy mix who’s easy going and both looked great. Highly recommend!

Got us in on a busy Saturday, managed to do a terrific job on our large goldendoodle (who is old, stands mostly on 3 legs, tires out easily, and has super curly hair), and even kept him calm around the cats (not easy!). I especially appreciated that they were gentle and patient with him, and let him lay down while they worked on him. Got a nice short summer cut without shaving him too closely, too. Will be back!

Had an appointment for several days ahead of time. Dropped my two miniature golden doodles off at 8am as directed. Girl who checked them in said that they only had two groomers today so it might be later when they get them done. Three hours later received a call that they could not fit them in today so please come and pick them up. Ask when they could fit them in and was told not for another week. Picked my boys back up and will not be taking them back. Very unprofessional…Very unhappy. Need to be more organized. Will be taking my boys back to Woof’s…

I took my dog to get groomed here four days ago and have thought about writing this review as this is very rare of me but when it comes to my pup I have decided to speak on our experience. I made an appointment to take my six month-old micro golden doodle and was told to drop her off between 8am-10am. The earlier I dropped her off, the faster she would get finished is what they told me. I arrived for drop off at 8:23am and by 1pm I decided to call for an update. They told me it would be another 1hr 30m. Meanwhile, she had already been there for five hours. By 3:45, I received a call saying she was ready. When I arrived i was shocked to learn she was the last puppy there (even though I dropped off early.) Yes, the haircut was precious and I completely understand that she can be slightly difficult at times but I have taken her for grooms in the past (at other locations) and picked her back up in less than 3 hours. The lady told me that it took longer because she had difficult dogs that day which is understandable but since I did bring mine earlier I expected her to be ready at an earlier time. instead I found out she was the LAST dog there. As soon as we got home, she immediately went potty (1 &2) and went straight to her bowls to eat and drink. She was locked up for such a long period of time (and I can only assume) without any water and not given potty breaks which I NEVER do since she is still a puppy. I in no way want to put down a local business, and the staff was very friendly and did a great job on her cut/groom but i found it unacceptable to take seven hours on a 10lb dog and feel there should be some kind of warning or notice upfront.

I took my rescued angora rabbit here and they did very good work shaving all his matted hair off. They said he was good for them and how they enjoyed him. Plus gave me some tips on how to take care of him. Very good service. They only thing was, the person I talked to on the phone was a bit rude, I almost reconsidered taking him, but I'm glad I didn't. Highly recommend

Stephanie is the best groomer we have ever had! She's caring and considerate of how nervous my dog is to go to the groomer. I recommend her hands down! She does a great job and my dog looks and feels fantastic and you can tell she has been cared for by how happy she is to go back!

Honestly I wouldn’t feel comfortable taking my dogs anywhere else. Groomingdales+ is by far the best grooming shop in Columbia and surrounding areas, you can tell by just stepping foot in the door that you’re in a place owned and run by animal lovers. This shop genuinely grooms for the love of dogs and it really shows! All the staff know my dogs by name and my dogs happily run to them whenever we go in for haircuts. I feel great knowing my pups are in good hands.

I love this place! All the groomers there have years of experience. They are friendly and love my dogs almost as much as I do and they always do an excellent job. They're great with puppies as well as seniors. Patient and kind, clean facility. Simply the best❤

The service was unbelievably rude, and I felt it necessary to reclaim my time. I'm a very respectful person, but when they treat our animals in such a matter.They didn't have an active fax machine or email address to receive the proper information from my Vet to allow for proper care of my dog. When we went in to show them the documents, an elder lady questioned the validity of my papers continually, which I felt was very rude.If I could give less then one star, I would. Their service was trash, the hospitality was trash, their cages are filthy and were not sanitary to point where my dogs backside was stained in fecal matter. The staff was rude upon entrance and I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE TO MY WORST ENEMY.Upon pick up our dog had blood on his face, which they equated to him, bitting his tongue...they must have thought I was dumb to believe that trash. He's been to other groomers, and they have never had any problems with him or his willingness to be groomed. Vets have never had a problem, and he's 7, so he's had a lot of experience with people. They are not truthful at all, it seemed more like they wanted provide millions of excuses instead of admit their fault. I trusted this place based on the reviews, but after today I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE TAKE MY DOG THERE AGAIN.Also he was not given proper water to hydrate him on this very hot day, and when it was time for pick up we received a rude phone call from the attendant telling us "You need to pick up your dog" without telling me that they didn't even groom him. The whole experience was a turn off, and I'm disappointed in the groomers and upset.I suggest you avoid their services too!*also if you're going to comment on this, I need you as an establishment to come correctly.

Winston needed a nail trim. He really liked the groomer and his nails looked great! He was done quickly and at a reasonable price. Much less time and stress than doing it myself. FYI, shop is Paws Only for COVID, but they came out for him promptly.

My first experience with groomingdales + was actually with my grandma's dog Tipper. Clara the owner was so accommodating when we needed to get Tipper in last minute. When I called she knew exactly who Tipper was, and was very sad to hear her owner wasn't doing well. Grandma was in the hospital. We were trying to arrange a visit from Tipper to cheer her up. Clara's team was able to work her in that morning. The hospital staff all fussed about how good Tipper looked. They loved her bows. Of course grandma was super excited to see Tipper.So when we got our first puppy, we took him to groomingdales for his first bath. The staff is so friendly and professional. They are amazing with children and dogs.They even allowed my boys to carry Chase back to his cage. When we picked him up he was all clean and smelled great. Groomingdales is the only place I will ever trust to care for Chase!

Will never take my Shih-Tzu anywhere else! After several mishaps at other grooming shops in town, I listened to my veternarian's recommendation to try Groomingdales+. I'm so glad I did! Finally, a grooming shop that actually knows what they are doing. The grooming is clean and tidy, the staff is very friendly and every animal in the establishment appears very content. My dog has never looked or smelled better! I'm so happy I found a quality groomer.

Will NOT be going back here!We took our 10 month Golden-doodle in today for a longer puppy cut. They said to bring her in 8-10 am. We arrived at 9:50 am. I was a bit confused about it being such a broad time frame. She was supposed to be there about 3 hours. They were to call me when she was finished. I called at 2:30 pm to see if she was ready for pick up. They told me she would not be ready until 4 pm. So, she was there for 6 hours. When we picked her up I asked why it was so long. Seems as the person who was supposed to groom her left the premises without doing her job. So some other person had to do it. It was more than I had been paying for a groomIng. They didn’t apologize or even suggest a slight discount for the lengthy stay. I am sorry NO tip for the groomer!They are NOT the only game in town!

One worst experience!Recently we started visiting GroomingDales for our pet Cookie. The last grooming was not up to what was requested. So, made a phone call to inquire the price for fixing the hair around the face. The attendant at 9:30 am (4/17/2019) requested to bring for a free face hair grooming for our dog Cookie, because we were not satisfied. We dropped Cookie for the free facial hair fix and when we returned back to pick up; they forced us to pay 50 dollars.We are done with your cheating business and going back to PetsMart. Doing business the right way is great, but cheating people is not right. Though your rates are bit cheap, work is cheaper than worst.

We were told to take our dog in at 8am and we did. They didn’t start in her until after 1, then at 4 my husband got a RUDE phone call from some lady saying “she’s ready and we’re done!” I went to pick her up, I made no small talk because I was already pissed, gave them cash and left. Got home and my dog, who’d been there 8 hours, ran to her water bowl and drank for 5 minuets straight. They hadn’t given her anything to drink in 8 hours. Don’t let their prices fool you folks, this place is as crappy and trashy as it gets. Would give it no stars if google would let me.

I have been using Groomingdale’s since 1997. I trust them with all my animals - four dogs and a cat. They do great work and take good care of the animals. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!!
