We have heard from so many people that this place is amazing, and had high expectations. They exceeded expectations and we had a great time. The service and wait staff was top notch and super kind. I was nervous we would be too hot for our 6:30 reservation tonight because the high today was a muggy 100 degrees, but it’s shaded and we felt pleasant the entire time. I wish we didn’t have to make reservations so far in advance (February for a June spot), but it was kind of a fun and special treat to look forward to. I recommend this place enthusiastically!Vegetarian options: The mushroom steak is awesome.Dietary restrictions: My husband is allergic to garlic and the accommodated him like champs.

Great atmosphere and good service. Food was delicious! The bruscetta was flavorful but a bit chewy. Our steaks were cooked perfect! We were bummed there wasn't any cheesecake, and we had a party of 2 so the cake wasn't an option. A couple more dessert options would have been great. My only issue was the parking and tight space for larger vehicles. Our new truck was scratched by the trees driving in. They need trimmed so they don't damage vehicles.

Amazing from top to bottom. This is an experience that you just need to slow down and take it all in. Staff was awesome. Especially the sassy one. 😅This is not an eaten place. Glass of wine in hand, relax while you take in the beautiful view and the eclectic converted patio/old chicken house/barn. I was hoping that my dinner was going to taste as good as everything smelled. I was not disappointed when they brought me a perfectly cooked ribeye. Seasoning was perfect with a light hint of lavender. Risitto with mushrooms was spot on. Goat cheese with lavender honey was wonder. Everything was wrapped with an amazing lavender cheese cake. With my cabernet, my wife stolled down to the small pond at the bottom of the hill that is fed by a hillside stream and sat and enjoyed a relaxing moment together until our 8 year old showed up wanting to play a game of cornhole...Why not?Notes: carpool as parking is very limited and tight. You have to reserve several months in advance as they are only open in June. I hear you can put you name on a waiting list for cancelations and most important just be ready for a relaxed and amazing experience. Ps. Sorry about the picture of the half eaten cheesecake. I got caught up in the moment.

We recently had dinner here, and it was such a fun and relaxing experience. I did have to make reservations almost 2 months in advance because they are not open very long each year. But it was worth the advanced planning. The food was terrific, especially the goat cheese appetizer.

Tried this place with friends once because they wanted to try it and it was a waste of time and money. I grew up in a successful restaurant business and I can tell you there is no cooking skill here and lack of flavors from a variety of items we ordered. Just saving you all time and money so spend it elsewhere. This includes the Aviary they bought out which has also gone downhill in flavors and service, and they opened Amici which just closed too. Hope this helps when you decide where to eat next time.

Amazing food, service, and a 5 star experience. A top 50 midwest destination. Thor and Catherine are amazing people and there menu is elegant and perfect for the atmosphere. We got engaged here in 2018 and come back every year.

Opening night was awful!!! I hope that you all get a better system going. Bitter margaritas, under cooked and dry risotto, cold entrees brought to the table. We did get complementary desserts after complaining which was great. Our ticket never came, we had to go to the register to pay and break free. Long night, hope your systems get better. I hope to try you all again, later in the season!

Food is excellent. Had the ribeye and it was delicious. I ordered my steak medium well and it was not cooked long enough for my taste but it was still delicious. The service was excellent, very friendly. Great atmosphere. Could not hear the live music very well. The place fills up fast so need to get reservations several months prior.

My mom and I have been coming to Lavender Falls once a year for the past 3 years. Our first experience was OUTSTANDING. Amazing food, drinks, service, atmosphere… Absolutely amazing. Last year the food was more average, less flavorful and service not as great… We thought it was an off night. Then this year, we went about two weeks ago, it was down right bad. We had a young girl as our server that had no clue what she was doing (I get it, I’ve waited tables and we all have to start somewhere, she needs training and Lavender Falls isn’t cheap so this isn’t the place). It took her over 30 minutes to bring us waters or acknowledge us, then when she did acknowledge us she took our order, took another 15+ minutes to come back, brought my bar drink and still didn’t bring waters. My margarita was so stout I couldn’t drink it (and I like it a little stout tasting). When she finally came back with our waters, the food followed right behind— all of it coming at once. Salad, steak, etc. My side of risotto was missing, she had to go find it. Excited to finally dig in, we were very upset to find my mom’s steak was undercooked and cold, mine was cooked correctly but Luke warm, and both of our risottos were rubbery and cold. While we were both hungry, we didn’t finish our meals. I hate to leave this review and I am very sad about the experience we had, but it is too expensive for this type of experience. It was a magical experience in the past that we waited for all year long to get to go again. I think several of the issues were service (drinks, food being cold, not checking back on us so we could send the steak back, etc) but also quality was just not there.

The ambiance was the best part about our experience, the live music and outside seating was very cool. But unfortunately it quickly went down hill from there. We were Sat and waiting 30 minutes before we finally waved someone down for a drink order. Service was good after that but it was frustrating as they weren’t that busy. We got our drinks and unfortunately they were just very poorly made, the second drink I got I couldn’t even drink and I’m not that picky when it comes to alcohol. We got the goat cheese and scallops, the scallops were very good I’ll give them that but that was the highlight of our meal. Everything else was below average. Over salted and thin steak with very plain, below average sides. We were both very disappointed in our plates, drinks and the service provided as we had looked forward to that reservation as food’ies for a long time. The reviews did not match what we experienced so maybe something changed or maybe they’re still trying to get in this years groove but we will not be going back.

I’m very sad to leave this review. Last year I would have left a 5 star review and raved like crazy. This year, I went at the beginning of the season and the steak was nothing but gristle. My husband and I both ordered steak and probably got 1/2 a steak that was actually edible. We mentioned it to 3 different people and nothing was done to offer a better experience. I didn’t leave a review because I was hoping it was a one time thing. But I went again last night and I had the same experience. When I mentioned the steak again they offered 15% off the steak and that’s it. I’m very sad about this. Last year it was the best steak I’d ever had at a restaurant. This year it was the worst. Not to mention the sides last year were incredible— this year, eh. The salads are good though…

I ordered the ribeye medium and it came out like raw mush drowned in pepper. The fingerling potatoes were fine and the lavender tea was decent. I was there with my wife for our anniversary and we were sat around several large groups, instead of near other couples on the balcony, so it was very noisy and not intimate at all. Our server barely spoke with us because he was so busy with large groups. Neat atmosphere in a beautiful country setting.

We booked a late evening dinner and were seated on a string light lit deck overlooking a beautifully landscaped hill and lavendar fields. We watched the lightening bugs as the day turned into darkness. We listened to live music and enjoyed the little shop of lavendar goods. The atmosphere couldn't have been more perfect, even for a warmer night. I had a lavendar martini that was absolutely fabulous. Not too sweet, and simply incredible. The goat cheese with lavendar honey was the best appetizer I've ever tasted. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the risotto had fabulous flavor. The desserts, though... they had true lavendar bits in them and were unmatched to any restaurant I've eaten at. The owner's stopped by our table and were accommodating and personable. The wait staff was just as great. It was an unforgettable night and I highly recommend this experience!

What a wonderful experience for my wife’s birthday! Our family has planned this for months thanks to an advertising clip viewed on Branson TV.We arrived at our scheduled reservation, immediately seated and met Michael, our waiter. We received drinks and appetizers and let me tell you our party of six raved over the appetizers of Be The Bruschetta and Get Your Goat On. The bruschetta was the best all of us ever have had. The flavors of the diced tomatoes and basil were outstanding. All of us could have eaten another board of this appetizer it was that good. The other appetizer was a perfect combination of fruit, cheese, and glaze/drizzle amounting to a very smooth, sweet, enjoyable taste. Our entree’s were just as enjoyable and cooked to perfection. My medallions, pasta, and potatoes were fantastic and blended to a wonderful presentation. Our other dishes in the party were just as perfect and enjoyable including the ribeye, chicken and steak without the meat.Yes, we had desert and again could only give praise for taste, texture, and presentation. The entertainment was terrific. Michael and Melissa had a wonderful repertoire of modern and classic music. They particularly shined on the John Prine classic, “Hello In There.”We have already planned next year’s trip once reservations open in February 2024.Please consider visiting this restaurant for an experience not to be forgotten. And, yes, they trimmed the tree branches away from the upper lot. Don’t be dissuaded. Photos coming soon.

Very disappointed. For a restaurant that has no availability for the entire season, I expected excellence and below average is what we got. The service was terrible. Waited 15 min before our drink order was taken, then another 20 min before our food order was taken. They were sold out of the appetizer we ordered. The risotto was crunchy. The ribeye was grissely. I had to eat my steak with a butter knife because they were “out”. Are you kidding me? Can someone not wash a knife for me to use?? The pasta was cold. The atmosphere was beautiful and the band was good from what we could hear. It was hard to tell because we couldn’t hear over the employees and their children? gathered around the bar talking and cursing loudly. Super unprofessional.

Let me start off by saying that we were excited to visit Lavender Farms and got our reservation super early and looked forward to it for 3-4 months. When we arrived we got sat immediately but did not have service for ~25 minutes before stopping someone and asking to order drinks. After that, service was great and we had the sweetest waitress. Our drinks were honestly one of the biggest let downs. The lavender lemon drop was super watered down and I tasted no lavender at all. My fiancé couldn’t finish his second drink (a different one) because it was so tart. We ordered the goat cheese and scallops for an app which were delish! Some of the best scallops we had ever had. I had the steak medallions and risotto which were just average, I will say the steak was tender but it was plain and sort of cold. For dessert we had the lavender cheesecake. It tasted like a plain pre-made cheesecake with honey drizzled over top. Again, I didn’t taste lavender at all and the crust was soggy. The ambiance and music was awesome. The property is serene which we did enjoy. Probably will not return for the price but maybe we just experienced an off night as we have heard some wonderful things from others.

Amazing customer service they even let me buy what I needed while closed. I use the Lavender Linen Spray every night to prevent nightmares. I just spary a little on my pillow every night and like magic no nightmares! I had run out about a month ago and my nightmares kept getting worse. The night before calling them I had had 3 very bad ones. Even though they were not open for the season yet and were still in the middle of revamping for the new season they let me come in and pick up 2 bottles! Looking forward to a good nights sleep again!

Wonderful atmosphere, outdoor for the most part, live band on the evening we visited. It's very difficult to get reservations, like months in advance. Food was tasty, smaller portions. The serve staff could not answer questions we had about items on the menu and it took quite some time to get drink refills when requested. But because they are only open a short time during the year, and they are out of the way, I'm sure it's not easy to get staffing. It's definitely a place I would visit again.Vegetarian options: There are a couple of choices on the menu. The menu is very limited.

The ambiance, drinks, and service were great. The band Deja Crew was awesome. I have to say I’m a little disappointed and feel that the place is hyped up for what it is. Two at my table ordered beef medallions which were all over cooked with little flavor. I think everything is over priced for what you get, $28 for a salad plate size of food. I ordered the goat cheese as an appetizer and you get about a tablespoon of goat cheese which isn’t much at all. I would go again but probably just for music and drinks.
