If my dog gets excited pulling up to Petropolis I know she doesn’t mind being there. I have been boarding my dogs, past and present for over 12 years and I know the employees treat my girl as if she was one of their own. She is kinda shy and a little anxious around other dogs so they take special care to make sure she is always comfortable and that makes leaving her there a lot easier for both her and I. Petropolis is the best answer I’ve found for the worst part of traveling which is leaving town without my pet.

My son and I have been taking both our dogs to Petropolis for several years. Grooming, Daycare and Boarding here is exceptional for your babies. We went Out of town to a couple Funerals And came back to happy puppies After four weeks. We Appreciate very much everyone’s Positive Attitude when we drop off and pick them up.Why leave your pets somewhere and worry the whole time when you can leave them At Petropolis Chesterfield where they’re Happy and well cared for. Ask for Susan for grooming. Others have groomed our babies and do a good job too. I just don’t know their names. We always to tip well because times are hard and we love the service and Our dogs love it there. When we take them home they are worn out from playing.💗💗💗💗

We had to make an unexpected trip to Missouri and we were staying awhile. I needed to have my yorkie, Boo, groomed. I would highly recommend Petropolis. The groomer did an amazing job. I will definitely use petropolis again when visiting, they were professional and very friendly. Thank you Petropolis!

My dog Godric absolutely loves Petropolis! James did a fantastic job and Godric always comes hope happy and smelling good! I highly recommend them to anyone wanting a fresh and clean pup that's always happy coming home!

This is our second time having the dogs groomed here. We used take one of them somewhere else and it was a nightmare! Petropolis has been so wonderful getting our Rocky to feel safe again at the groomers. He and Rowan ran in the door for their second grooming and were very happy! Thank you all for taking the time and having the patience for our highly anxious Rocky and making him feel safe again! It relieves a great deal of stress for all of us. Rowan only knows you all there and is very happy too!! If you have had a bad experience somewhere else or have very anxious puppers, this is definitely the place to go!

We had a great experience with our 100+ pound Rottweiler! He has been very anxious when it comes to getting his nail trimmed and his vet and other places weren't able to do it. We were understandably nervous that once again his nails wouldn't get trimmed and were pleasantly surprised that Petropolis was not only able to do it, but also a bath and without him being medicated just patience and treats :) We will definitely be back again.

My 1.5 year old pup, Palmer, LOVES his days at Petropolis. He’ll be in the car fast asleep, and the minute he realizes we’ve pulled up to “school” he darts out the car and goes straight through front doors. Most days we don’t even need to check-in; they are ready for us and know him by name.He recently went to a different doggy daycare while in Nashville, and they had a “pup cam” so I could see what he was up to during the day. All day the dogs would just stand around in a room with the attendant. She didn’t interact with them, and the dogs didn’t even really play with each other. He was just pacing around from 6:30am to 6 pm. It looked miserable.I love that at Petropolis they have a routine and plenty of different toys/play equipment. Plus, they set aside rest breaks so he can cool down for awhile. He always comes home happy and exhausted. The other big plus of Petropolis versus some other doggie daycares in STL area is the ability to keep your dog early/late hours if you sign up for a package. This is extremely convenient on nights I’m working late and need some extra time to pick him up.The only thing I think could be better is more posts on social media. They do have the option to get “pup-dates” for $7 a day, but Ive only done it once because I’m already paying around $40/day. The times they do take photos on special days, they are super cute.All around, I’d 100% recommend Petropolis Chesterfield to anyone whose pup has some extra energy to burn off while they are at work/running errands/out for the day.

First time getting my Standard Poodle groomed at Petropolis. I really appreciated the detailed report car of my dog/groomer experience. There would be a couple of tweaks fir improvement I'd make for his next groom, but he came home clean Happy and relaxed.

Amazing staff and awesome facility. I cannot believe the amount of love and attention they put forth with every single client.My Leo had the time of his life at their water park! He even made new friends and was smiling in every single photo they sent me (they had about 8 of them too which was great!).After daycare, I had a consult with their training staff; the trainer seemed so kind and responsive to Leo’s needs. I love their positive reinforcement approach. We will definitely be back and will highly recommend to others!

Not a good experienceMy dog has severe allergies groomer wouldn’t cut her hair and I was charged same amount. Not much was done. New groomer found scabs from incessant licking (from allergies) and she shaved her down just fineNew groomer took the time to check her top to bottom and explained what would help gave me good information and I won’t go back here. Big difference in quality of care and price

Willow had a bath from James today. She is crazy about James and always gets such great care.I originally took Willow to their grooming acclamation program. They give them as much time as needed to do all the various parts of the grooming process. She loved it. With my previous dogs they always dreaded going to different groomers. Willow LOVES going to Petropolis! She’s always happy going in and happy when I pick her up.

Lola had a wonderful experience at Petropolis during her orientation. The staff is wonderful with their four legged guest, there was no "one size fit all" type of day. Lola was assessed and observed throughout the day, and was placed in a unique progeam for her future visits thats fits her best. She came home at the end of the day relaxed and happy after an enjoyable day.thank you Petropolis!

Our old lady is a little temperamental and has an Extremely thick double coat. The team at Petropolis takes it in stride and works hard to make her comfortable. She always come back looking and smelling awesome!

We were visiting my daughter in the St Louis area, and needed to find a place to board our 35-lb puppy, Sybbie. Sybbie is very active and loves to play, so we wanted to make sure that she would be kept busy. We were sent photos of her playing and told that she made a friend right away. She seemed to love it there. She also had a grooming appointment before we picked her up and she looked great... and no strong perfume-smell on her, which I don't like... she was just nice and clean! She will be visiting again for daycare and/or boarding/grooming when we are in town!

Petropolis is nothing short of phenomenal! The facility is a beautiful location, with top notch employees who are friendly and professional! Our dog Grace was nervous to be left for orientation but did not want to leave with us for early pick-up. We also saw another dog refusing to leave with his owner. His dog planted all 4 paws on emergency brakes and did not move! On the way to our car, we saw 2 other dogs enjoying the Waterpark on the property. This short experience made me want to put on a doggy disguise and get in on the fun! Overall, this retreat looks to be exciting and an amazing get-away!

I was nervous taking my 4-month old Yorkie for grooming services because he’s so young and just 4.4 lbs. The staff was so welcoming and informative at drop-off and they took really good care of my puppy throughout the day. He looks, feels and smells fantastic! He will be returning in 3 weeks for his next service.

I absolutely love this place! Sheridan did such a great job with my dog. There was ongoing communication throughout the process so that I knew exactly what to expect. At the end, I got a link to view the finished product and it was adorable. Super happy with the outcome and my dog seems happy as well! I would 100% recommend!

Staff is so caring and kind, 1st trip there for my dog and they called me mid day to let me know how she was doing. It was a rough 1st visit but they were patient with her and very focused on her getting comfortable with them and the facility. We'll be back fur sure!! 💗

I love the groomers!! Shelby and Vanessa are our groomers. Vanessa was a godsend for our Bentley due to a very bad experience he had with another groom for his first grooming. We talked to Vanessa and she took Bentley on as a client 2.5 years ago and has been just wonderful!! And Bentley loves her. We were concerned when she went in pregnant leave, but Shelby became their groomer and she is just as wonderful as Vanessa with our now 2 dogs , Bentley and Abby.,WE LOVE THEM BOTH!!! And so does our fur babies.

Will never use this groomers again. Dropped my dog off at 8am like I was told to do. Was told he would be ready around 2 and they would call to let me know he was ready. Called at 2 and they said he’s all done. Get there and they tell me they didn’t have hot water that all they got done was his nails. No phone call to let me know any of this in the 6 hours he was there. Manger comes out and says she was not informed of any of this and other dogs were being bathed. Not a good first impression.

I highly recommend James for grooming! I have. 97 pound Scaredy-cat dog that absolutely loves James. No fear or anxiety. He runs to James tail wagging. I wouldn’t trust anyone else!

This is my dogs’ first time at Petropolis. Everyone was so kind and attentive. I was a nervous dog mom but the staff made me feel so much better. They called multiple times to tell me how great the dogs were doing and sent daily picture updates.

When we picked up our dogs from a short stay we noticed they smelled like feces. Their rear ends were raw from feces and bleeding. My wife cried when she saw our dogs in such pain. The employees didn’t even give them a bath to properly wash them off. Our dogs were yelping in pain for nearly a week after taking them home.I would not recommend these folks to anyone. We love our dogs and feel horrible about making the decision to take them here. Never again.

I have a shy dog that was overwhelmed at his previous groomer. I found Petropolis on the Fear Free Certified site and decided to try them. I'm so glad I did! James and the other grooming staff have been wonderfully understanding with my dog by going at his pace and not pushing him beyond his comfort level. It's a long drive for me, but it's worth it to know my dog is in good hands.
