I always did a lot of shopping at this Dollar General because it is the closest to us but that will change tonight. Myself, my son and his friend went to this store tonight for a few things. I had already gotten all i came for and was just walking around waiting for my 11 year old son and his friend. I was doing what most do while they shop. When i turned the corner of the aisle there was a worker there who waited till i passed and signaled to the other worker to watch me. I seen her, then the other worker most likely seen that i seen and said Hi. I understand they probably have people stealing but i was not and dont appreciate how they handled this. I had no pockets, only a small wallet and things in my hand i was going to purchase. There is no crime in walking around waiting on my son and his friend to finish their shopping. I will simply not do business here anymore, I dont appreciate being treated like a theif while shopping.

Great selection, friendly knowledgeable staff, stuff is easy to find and they have cheaper prices than most places too. Easy to access location. Large store so it has bigger better selection.

Update 1/2021: many bare shelves, more carts than ever before blocking aisles. It’s looks like a rundown Kmart going out of business.(Late 2019)Aisles are always blocked with carts and shelves are mediocrely stocked but it serves this town good enough for the here and there needs between grocery trips

Lots of good brands to choose from. Could be a little better organized. Manager is extremely helpful and nice though. Only complaint is that my DG app doesnt work in the store so I cant use the coupons & deals while i shop. Im assuming due to it being a metal roof i get no signal :/

Good layout. However lots of carts full of things to be stocked in at the end of every isle. Wish they would take more pride in their work

First of all, when you walk into a place in the year 2020, it shouldn't look like the inside of a Tiajuana flea market. There's random objects laying in the middle of the walkways and the isles arent wide enough to squeeze two people going opposite directions. You literally have to walk all the way around to another isle and hope there's not one or more people clogging up that isle. Then there's the whole randomness aspect of the experience. It's no suprise to see kid's clothes hanging on a shelf next to a can of pizza sauce and bottles of grape juice! There's simply no method to the madness.Sometimes the cashiers will be wrapped up in an intense gossip session so getting waited on has to be put on hold while they talk about totally appropriate subjects like exes and late child support.The prices are average at best and they wont sell beer on Sundays. I give it two stars because they have a decent supply of Halloween candy (year round) and they had frozen hamburger when nobody else did.

I love Centralia DG. It's HUGE and has a great variety. Everything you would hope to find at the Big W without having to support the Big W. Great deals, friendly and helpful staff, and one Dollar General where you can even buy a little booze. Also next door to O'Reilly (not the best but in a pinch) if you absolutely must have vehicle supplies. It's rarely too crowded and when they are the staff, *gasp*, OPENS A SECOND REGISTER!!!😁😁😁👍👍

2 3 4 5I am writing to let you know that I had best experience at Dollar General in Centralia Missouri. Last week I went there and bought clearance items with 90% off. I'm unsure about how to post a picture on your site but I wish I could so that you can see my two receipts. The Manager, Donna, is absolutely amazing! She was very patient and helpful bringing clearance items to my attention . I had boxes and boxes and bags and bags about 6 carts full and Donna patiently went through everything and scanned each and every item for me. They also opened up another check out lane so that I could go ahead and finish my my transaction and the other customers could go ahead and do theirs. Then there is Kandy and she started showing me clearance items that I went into the store looking for. I can't tell you how pleasant and friendly she was. And one more person her name is Heidi. Heidi is a cashier and she helped bag and put everything in my cart and even offered to help me take it and put it in my car. The District Manager, Jared, has definitely trained his employees well. Hats off to Centralia Missouri! Thank you ladies!P.S.I am a completely new couponer. They have been, the whole staff, has been so patient and understanding with me that I can't help but to return to the store over and over again as I will. Thank you!

The Centralia store always has carts of new stock blocking aisles. Seem disorganized and tends to be not very clean. The staff was kind and helpful.

Store is always overloaded with stock on the floor in the aisles. Its a HAZARD! The Sturgeon store and the new store in como do not have this issue. I would rather drive 30 mins out of my way to go to a cleaner store.

You're always greeted when you walk in and the store is mostly clean. But the clothing aisle is always a mess and a lot of time so is the toys

This place is always a mess, can't ever find anything, can't get down most of the aisles because they have stock stacked in the aisles all the time. Selection is horrible.

The workers do everything that they can to help the customers but they are overwhelmed with product to put up and not enough employees to do so plus run the registers at the same time they need at least one more person on duty they normally have two.
