Angela and Shawn are awesome. We arrived a bit earlier than we originally planned, but that was absolutely no problem. Angela was right up to the office with a wonderful attitude. The room was fabulous and very clean. It had a new a/c & heater that worked great. Once we checked in we cranked the a/c down and went to grab a meal at The Junction Restaurant, when we made it back you could see your breathThe nice little pond in the back was fun to fish with the wife. I caught a small bass in the 30 minutes we was there. We only took our poles to the pond and we both had fairly large spinners attached.We left early this morning (6/20) and Shawn was outside and met us at the car to grab the room keys.I wish I could give this place a million stars. We will be making more trips to the lake and this will be our go to place.Rooms: Room was very clean and well cared forNearby activities: Mark Twain Lake is a very short drive up the roadFood & drinks: Convenience store on the property as well as a bait shop. Didn't go look around but was told they have your basic needs as well as pizzaNoteworthy details: Owners are fabulous and very attentive to your needs.

The new owners Angela and her husband are SO welcoming and super caring! We have been staying here for many years and the major improvements on the rooms are so updated and Clean! They go above and beyond to make sure your stay with them is perfect! My girlfriend's stomach was upset so I asked Angela the owner if she sold any Sprite in their bait store or soda machine. She said don't go anywhere, I will be right back. She came back 20 minutes later and she had drove To A Store and Bought her a 12 pack of Sprite!!! This was at 8pm at night! Talk about caring Just WOW! We will be always staying here!!!!

Country Inn is the best place to stay at Mark Twain Lake. The new owners Angie and Shawn are amazing. They do an incredible job making you feel welcome. The rooms are always clean and well stocked. There is ample parking for boats and trailers with electric hookup. The pool is always clean and great for the kids. We use the provided bbq pits quite often. The ponds on the property have fish in them and are great for the kids. I give this place 5 out of five stars and is generally the best place we stay at all year.

Our first stay at this family owned resort at Mark Twain Lake was outstanding! What a hidden gem. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but inside was impeccably clean and updated. We have a trip booked here in June with all the kids and can’t wait. There is a sand beach and water park nearby as well! Everything was great except for there's no WiFi and barely any signal there. Also there's no TV channels just a DVD player and movies, so bring your own if you'd like. Otherwise it was an amazing place and we had a great time!!!Nearby activities: It's really close to Mark Twain Lake

Wanted to take our boat to MT for a long weekend. Called to reserve a room here and we were told that their rooms “could not accommodate” our family of 5. Two adults. Three children. Everyone in the hotel business knows that kids are able to be accommodated. Three kids is not an astronomical amount of children. All three are under age 14. All three would be “free” according to their website, and I quote “you can bring them along, they just can’t all stay here”. Yeah, I guess we’ll just sacrifice one of them and put them in a different hotel by themselves. Or they could sleep in the truck. Brilliant idea. Stupid.

Stayed 6/10/16- 6/12/16. The people who run it are wonderful people. The rooms are clean and nice. One complaint I have at a lot of places I stay, is water pressure in shower. Not at Country Inn. Good pressure for sure. Not one con for me when staying here. The parking area is spacious which is nice for boaters. You are only minutes from the lake, the landing, and food. Not mention you will be staying at a family atmosphere. Definitely will return, and would recommend to anyone.

I just tried to reserve a room like we have for the past two years now and was told we were blacklisted. The lady said that we tore down a door frame of some sort that we never have. I tried to explain to the lady that it was me and my father that is in a wheelchair and we did not break anything. If we did why didnt they contact us when they found it. We heard nothing about it till now.Then I was told they dont allow wheelchairs in the room and hung up on me. I thought they were nice people till now. Very unprofessional.

We stayed 12/29-31, and had a family get-together on the 30th. Rich and Mary, the owners, were there on site, and were so helpful and accommodating; they really went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. The rooms were all clean and comfortable. We will definitely keep them in mind for our next family gathering.

The place was very clean and updated near mark twain. The owners gave us a great rate for the amenities available and even stayed open for our late arrival. I will recommend this place to anyone staying in the area.**update 4/17/2019I use to highly recommend this place to friends and family, but after our annual trip this year i will not be back. Mary, the owner is very unprofessional. I have stayed here 4 times in the past 5 years and have never had a problem. We originally stayed in a kitchenette and the beds were awful. We found out there are newer mattresses in a double room and switched to those. She did refund me part of the difference of the room which was nice. However came in one afternoon after fishing and she typed a note and taped it to our door stating "no charging batteries in the room and clean up spills." Nothing was spilled and i have always charged batteries with no problem. She said she was "p-o'd" with us AND took my battery that was in the room and placed it outside of our room! Anyone could have just stolen it. She also placed a note on our family members room with some other nonsense. Its a s shame cuz we use to like it here.

I was very impressed with how clean it was because it is an older place. However the front desk lady was very rude. She was the only part that I didnt enjoy. Very short with me and reminded me at 915 when I asked for a towel that check out was at 11. Not very personable. The man that works in the store however was very friendly and helpful. Maybe he should teach her a few things.

We stayed here for one night in a motel room and look forward to staying again. Our room was very clean, water was hot and the heater kept us warm. The bed and linens were surprisingly comfortable and we slept great! This place is a gem.

Staying at the Country Inn is always a breezeSwapping hunting stories or watching the deer play in the back. Towels are clean and the 7th nights free kitchenettes have all the essentials. They also have washer and dryer usage.

Clean and reasonably priced. Great weekend getaway. Close to Mark Twain lake and Hannibal. Lots of things to do during the day. Antiquing, Distilleries, bar and grills, local restaurants.
