Best Lowes in Carthage. Staff is nice, outdoor section is very nice with seasonal as well as year round great items. Lumber is generally very good, sometimes it takes a little picking around. Fair prices and always willing to help you out.

Lowe's and Home Depot BIG box stores. If you're looking for something particular you're better off searching their web site to find what aisle and row it will be found on. Asking one of their young helpers is like beating your head against a brick wall. Had them search for a left-handed hammer.I would suggest using your local hardware store for all your building needs.

Will drive to Carthage to use this Lowe's every time over Joplin. Staff here are excellent, always approach you to ask what they can do to help, never have to search and find someone. Very pleasurable experience coming to this store over the other.

I’ve been making purchases here for almost 5 years. I have more than 150 purchases this past year alone. This evening I’m in the customer service line waiting and waiting to checkout. One employee there and she is busy helping a customer and a line backed up all the way to plumbing (that’s a bit of an exaggeration but you get what I mean). Finally someone in line goes down to the self checkout area and addresses Zach who’s in the middle of a flirt party with some female employees that he may or may not be some kind of supervisor too. Later he informed me in his cocky attitude that he was the assistant manager and nobody there was going to check me out without a photo ID. He is NOT the assistant manager. He may have some fancy degree but he is not manager material nor is he supervisor material nor should he be working in customer service. I am wanting to make a purchase on an LAR account for $13.67. Yes I’m supposed to show my ID but I didn’t grab my purse when I headed to the store. Normally I always have it occasionally I have forgotten it but like I said in the beginning I’m in this small town store on a regular basis and the employees have checked me out numerous times and know that I’m who I say I am. He bucked up refused to check me out refused to let an employee who knew me to check me out and this is for a tiny purchase. It wasn’t like I was in there today to get a water heater supply lines and a ball valve. I had the phone number the company name my first and last name and he was not going to work with me on this purchase. I was going to have to go home get my ID and come back and there were people working there that knew me! And they told him they knew me. He is NOT customer service material and if he is indeed a supervisor of sorts that decision should be rethought. I did go home and got my ID and then I went to Home Depot in Joplin. I love Home Depot and I believe I will be spending much more time there.

We recently tried to buy new carpet from this Lowe's so that we could list the house for sale. We picked out carpet and paid for it, then waited two weeks for it to be installed. We had movers scheduled to come three days later. Installers finally came, ripped up the old carpet, carried in new pad and started laying it, then realized they had two different dye lots, and the join would be obvious. So, away they went, we called Lowe's, expecting resolution. Somehow it became our fault because we had picked out carpet that wasn't in stock (there wouldn't have been enough of any the store has anyway). So, we ordered another two rolls. Waited a month this time and finally the installers called. Everything was good to go, we thought, until hours after they were due to come, we hadn't heard a word. We called and, guess what? Two different dye lots. Again. Lowe's was not even going to call and let us know. We called and asked to speak to the manager (who never did talk to us), but we discussed it with an acting manager. He basically said he had no idea where the breakdown in communication happened and he had no idea why we didn't get the right carpet. Huh. I wonder. I'm guessing the guy in charge might have been responsible?Lowe's was pitifully inept at addressing the issues here. They couldn't come up with carpet to put in our house, and there was no attempt to make it right. They acted as if it was a gift to give us the pad, but it was already cut up and laid so...? We lost nearly two months in getting our house on the market and had to scramble to find carpet that worked. (We went to Carpet One and they did a great job. Go there if you need new rugs. Don't waste your time with Lowe's. They are ridiculous.)By the way, the one star is only because I couldn't leave a review without it. But I will never shop Lowe's again.

The Lowes in my town did not have the part so I travelled to the Carthage, MO Lowes to pick up a part and was not greeted until I was in the self check out. I literally walked by 4 employees and not greeted once. One guy was too busy stocking one of the back isles (he saw me multiple times). Another younger lady had a box in her hand and did make eye contact with me, but was too busy to say good morning. Not sure if it was an off day, but this is unacceptable. I am not trying to nitpick, nor do I need employees to say good morning to me, but thought it was weird.

Ok shop there alit because it’s the closest hardware store but they seem to get thing mixed up broken shipping on items that I’ve ordered and top it off they don’t even notify me that they cancelled my order then they shorted me about 80.00 dollars.:Update finally got a hold of Lowe’s customer support and plead our case of them not notifying us about cancelling an order that was damaged and that they also pulled some number out of the sky somewhere to refund us which of course was about 89 dollars short in their favor we got told that we will have to wait for them to contact the store to verify that the information that we stated was correct which can take several weeks. Mind ya we had nothing to do with any of the cancellation or damage. It’s very frustrating! Who knows if we will ever see that money.Update: we finally received our refund but it was for 73.00 dollars. Who would’ve guess that! Hmm! Oh well at lease we recovered some of the money!

Went in early on a Monday morning and there was nobody in there except they were having a company meeting in the lawn garden center area I heard a bunch of hooping and hollering and everybody started raising hell about how good the day was going to be and I just looked for a clear path to the door and got out of their way.

Love coming to Lowe’s in Carthage. The guys on the floor are always polite, helpful, and treat you like a person. However the woman at the customer service desk named Trudy is a bit rude. She seems to be cold and could care less about customer service. 2 days in a row needing to come in and the first experience with her she seemed like it was a bother to assist my husband and I. The next day, I had to return something and she had this whole negative sense about her and was just short and sharp. Not a very friendly person to be the face of a company providing customer service.

I had some grout to return that I couldn't find receipts on. I was hoping for some store credit. Was told by the clerk she cannot do that because they're now strictly enforcing their return policy. I totally understand that, but this isn't something they ever run a buy one get one free on or anything like that. They could have given me the cheapest sale price it ever sold at and I would have been super happy. I asked her if I could speak to a manager to plead my case. It's stated up on the board that Tamera was the manager from 7:00 to 6:00. Well she goes back to the back for several minutes comes back and basically tells me the manager said no. And that's fine, but when a customer who's in your store almost more than he's at home ask to speak to you for a minute, it's very poor customer service to ignore them. Take 2 minutes out of your time and come speak to your loyal customer. Unfortunately I'll end up driving to Home Depot 15 minutes further away because they have a very friendly return policy. And let's be honest their workers are better trained and have more experience usually. This was the first time I've ever asked to talk to a manager at Lowe's in my life. At Lowe's. If I'm in a jam and have to hurry Paul spends some money there but if not Home , and Ace Hardware are my go-to from now on.

Nice place & nice employees, but not enough. No one saw us or offered to help us until we were leaving. They were out of one item we saw online. There was no one to ask if they might have any in back. By the time we got to the front, we didn't want to ask. Everyone was exceptionally nice at the front, just no one in the back of the store.

Awsome online order cancellations that are then marked as clearance. Still wrapped and onopened boxes of brand new appliances there. We have replaced our fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer with brand new appliances that have been 50 -70 percent off. :)

I give five stars because of the people I'm naming Thad, Travis, and Ms. Grace. These three and more have been so wonderful to me and the business I own . These three people are caring, thoughtful, and downright, absolutely amazing human beings. They are the kind of people to exhaust every avenue to get you on a path to success on every project you come at them with . To end, you couldn't do this in other lowes stores . They are the dream team of customer service

I know, good help is hard to find these days. I purchased an appliance online. I scheduled the curbside pickup, checked in when I was on my way. I got there and no one had a clue. About half an hour later, we got it loaded in the truck. No one was actually rude, but it was also obvious that everyone involved in helping me did not feel like it was their responsibility to do so.

Amanda was amazing at helping me with my to-do list. She stayed with me until I had everything to finish up with my multiple projects. She was so attentive to my needs and kept me as her 1st and only priority, even though my list contained items out of her personal department.I look forward to seeing her again soon!

I'm not sure why I go to Lowe's other than it's convenient and closer. I never have this kind of trouble when I go to home depot. The parts of the flusher for the toilet that I needed they didn't even have. They sell the fill parts but the drain parts that go with it they don't carry. When I got there and couldn't find what I was looking for I rang the buzzer for help. And the buzzer in that aisle didn't even work. So I had to go to the next aisle over to ring a buzzer that would work and would put a message over the intercom that somebody was needing help and it took over 20 minutes before anybody came. I'm done with Lowe's!

We hired (Lowes) to install a dishwasher We had purchased two years ago. I understand that it’s not under warranty anymore, but it has been leaking since installed and we were unaware that it was leaking underneath which caused damage to our home and mold. It is likely to have had a manufacturer error, but also was not installed properly by Lowe’s. Both our contractor and the homeowners insurance both say it’s apparent that it’s been slowly leaking this entire time by the spread of water damage and mold growth to our subfloor. We have all these damages to our home that we are now responsible for because homeowners insurance doesn’t cover all damages due to a leakage and seepage clause.. It is apparent that they didn’t make sure everything was properly working at the time of Installation, which they should since we pay them to do this. When I called and talked to the manager, she acted as if it sounded ridiculous that it was two years ago that they installed it and its now being brought up, but it has had a slow leak and we obviously would’ve had no idea because there’s a guard in front of the dishwasher so it was all leaking to our finished basement ceiling, which now, after it has been slowly leaking, has finally became noticeable. My husband tried calling to see if they would make it right in anyway and he gets the roundabout being transferred to a different managers who do not answer or are “too busy.” You would think a company like this would do the Moral thing and help in someway due to the negligence of people, they hired to install our appliance. We have had the ceiling open for a month now, and have been trying to treat the mold ourselves and have children who have asthma and have been sick due to this mold. I would not recommend hiring (Lowes) to install your appliances.Now complaint 2We now purchased a new dishwasher since we have been without one for a month and still working on repairing our home and every time we call to try to see if it’s been delivered to the store I am transferred nobody answers the phone. It shouldn’t be this hard to get someone to answer the phone.Adding to my ReviewIt took an hour to get in contact with anyone last night to get an update on our new dishwasher we ordered. I literally had to ask the lady who answered to not transfer me and make sure appliance picks up because it would ring for an extended call then they would answer my call not say hello or anything and transfer me. when I finally talked to someone to find out about our dishwasher that was due to be delivered to the store this past Thursday they had no idea why it was not there and had no idea how to track it. They said Joplin had some in stock and they could see if we could get it from there. They said we would have to wait until Monday so we took the initiative to call Joplin Lowe’s to see if we could get anything taken care on our own to get our purchase. They said they sold the last one that was in stock. Now we have paid for this dishwasher and nobody can seem to tell us where it’s at. After this purchase we will no longer be using this store. I’m not sure if nobody is trained properly, but nobody seems to know how to answer our questions there.
