Took my dog here since he had an open wound from daycare. The vet said it looks like he got it from a protruding object. After getting a second opinion I can confirm it was from a dog bite.Not sure why the vet would lie about this. I am not happy and will not go back to this location since they could not be honest.

Just got back home with my puppy Bane! He came in today to have a check up after being found on the side of the road! Every member of staff I encountered was so kind, knowledgeable, and caring. I really appreciate the team here at this location. They made me and Bane both feel so comfortable and we enjoyed all the ladies !

We visited here for an emergency after calling our pets regular vet and being turned away. Our dog had an intestinal blockage and required surgery. Dr Grundy and her staff are absolutely wonderful. I called often to check on my dog and every time the staff was so friendly and considerate. I never was made to feel as if I was bothering them by being a crazy pet mom. I would definitely recommend Central Pet Care and will continue to use them!!

My daughter and I brought her cat Kiki to you guys last Thursday. I'd like to thank you and all of your staff. You were all very helpful and professional. And sensitive to the situation. You all did all you could do. Unfortunately she just couldn't over come her sickness, or the years. And crossed the rainbow bridge this afternoon... That being said... I was very happy with the staff, the visits and the care she received. I will be back. And I will definitely recommend you to othersAgain, thank you all so much...

My dog got a massive cut at the river, I will say the initial exam was fairly priced and they got him in very fast. The doctor had very little bedside manner and had me feeling very stressed out believing there was another issue. She recommended xrays but wanted to start antibiotics for a few days beforehand. When it came time his leg looked much better so i asked if xrays could be waived. After completing everything I assumed it would be cheaper than the estimate considering xrays were not preformed. Instead I'm told that a lot of her day was dedicated to this procedure so i was to pay to compensate for that. When asked if I could see an itemized version I was told by the front desk lady I have to pay first then I can see it. This seems very illegal.In total i had paid 500 dollars for stitches and a drain, when I came to the follow up 4 days later I'm charged an additional progress fee for removing my dogs drain of 45 dollars? Shouldnt a follow up for a 500 dollar procedure be waived?Personally I think they'll charge you for whatever they can find. Odd to me that the additional cost tacked on to my bill was exactly the same price as the xrays I asked to be waived. I would not recommend this vet clinic to anyone personally.

My cat Sushi got very very sick. So bad we almost lost him. Central Pet Care staff was AMAZING. I was balling my eyes out and they did nothing but comfort me through the whole process. The veterinarian there truly cares about the animals and you can tell. She is very knowledgeable and will walk you through everything. She is also very honest and tells you what you need to hear, rather than what will protect your feelings. She’s is very good at what she does!!! She nursed my baby back to health. They had to keep him overnight for 3 days and I got phone call checkups, they never did anything without asking, they understand money don’t grow on trees, they kept you updated! The staff was amazing in so many ways. Very sweet people! They also have amazing prices. Me and my significant other were expecting a very large bill and it was not bad at all. They truly care about what they do and they will love and treat your animals with so much respect. And I will forever honor them for saving my baby boy. Highly 10/10 recommend them!!!

The office girls were wonderful. Our cat and dog got the best care. We love our vet and we wouldn't go any where else. If you want a great vet who cares about your loving pets. This is the vet to go to in Carthage MO. Our pets got the best. We will go back to our vet for excellent care. Thank you, Sue and Michael McDowell.

Would not take my dog anywhere else. Everyone that works here is awesome. I was treated with manners and respect.Great prices and great service. Now they even do a cash discount. They can guide you to a loan company which helped us the first time for the surgery, if you ask nicely they will be glad to help you.

David and I loved attending Jessicca Bailey's Beginning Home Manners Class with our Whoodle, Chiquita (9 years), and Aussie, Lasyrenn (2 years). Both girls enjoyed the socializing. They learned quickly and flourished with Jessicca's wise and positive and very patient instruction. So did we. We're continuing our training at home and have already signed up Lasyrenn for Jessicca's Intermediate Obedience class!

My dog had a terrible cough and so I called Central Pet Care. And they were able to give me an appointment at 11:00 the next day and let me know that the cough she was experiencing was most likely due to allergies they gave her prescription and she's doing much better. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We have always taken all of our animals to Dr. Grundy for years now. She and her staff are professional, kind, and treat my dog as if she were their own. We recently went on a short trip for a few days and boarded our dog with Central Pet Care, as I have done in the past, but this time I received a text from a staff member with a couple of pictures of our dog playing on the grounds and that she was doing well and how sweet our dog is. I thought that was a very personal touch and was very appreciative for the update! It shows how much Dr. Grundy and her staff care for our pets! Anytime anyone asks for veterinarian recommendations, I always refer them to Central Pet Care! Keep doing what you do!!❤

I absolutely love Dr.Grundy and Central Pet Care! It’s a very clean facility, staff are welcoming, and Doctor is amazing with animals! I have two dogs, my older rescue is not a fan of going to the doctor and will try to bite most vets, it took a few minutes but he warmed up to Dr.Grundy very well! She was very patient with him and truly made sure he had the best care!

Central Pet Care is phenomenal. Things are weird right now, during the COVID difficulties but they have managed to work out a system by which you can take your pet in to be seen and still keep your distance as needed. All the employees are masked up and observing specific protocol that allows customers to come in, have their pet cared for in the top-notch way that only Central Pet Care can do, and get back out with a minimum of contact.We have vetted with Dr. Grundy for a long time for good reason. She understands our pets and treats them (and us) kindly, compassionately, and professionally, every single time. Her staff are likewise helpful, hardworking, and simply terrific.Times are hard and things are weird. It's great to know that we have a vet clinic we can count on, no matter what.

Central pet care in Carthage Missouri truly is a caring facility, they went above and beyond to care for our 3 year old cat that had never been boarded before. When we picked her up 3 days later she was calm, nails trimmed and complimented her beauty. I love Dr. Grundy! She took care of my Ruffy Boy for 18 years. I know she and the staff helped him have a long life. She helped when it was time to say good-bye. And ,now, she and the staff are helping me with my Charlie Boy!! ❤️

Edited: I wanted to edit my last review and Thank the staff for addressing my issues with my last visit. I was contacted the next day and all on my concerns were addressed and resolved. Even though there was a misunderstanding, they did ultimately save my puppies life. He is no longer skin and bone and is back to his happy playful self. For that I very grateful and I want to thank Central Pet Care.I took my puppy in for Parvo and was told that if I choose to hospitalize him it would be $100 a day. 3 days later I went to check on him. They told me that they felt safe sending him home. When I went to settle the bill it ended up averaging out to $200 a day! I gave 3 stars because I have had better experience with their other vets but the way I was mislead was very upsetting. Shame on you guys for telling me a price then acting as if I just pulled that price out of my butt. Thank Goodness for Care Credit and for tge face I insisted on going to see him that day or I would have been more overwhelmed than I already am.

Dr Grundy is a very knowledgeable and caring vet. I wouldn’t want to take my dogs to anyone else and I have confidence in her ability to diagnose and treat any issue my dogs may have. I am very thankful to have her clinic and services available.

Twice I have been told one price and then charged another. The first time was $50.00. This time 5.00. They came out after cutting my dogs nails and told me that they have had problems cutting his nails before and they recommended meds before he gets it done again. I had NEVER been told they had problems cutting his nails previously by anyone at Central Pet Care. I told her I didn’t want to have to give him meds, so I would not ask them to cut them again. Then I was charged $5.00 more than they told me. As a business owner, this is horrible business practice. If there is a problem, you discuss with your customer BEFORE you provide a service that if you encounter problems you will have to charge an additional amount. You do not go ahead and then charge your customers more than quoted. When this was brought to their attention they blamed other employees. Michelle called me to hear my concerns and after hearing all this told me that her computer notes said that it appeared I had been told. I told her again I had not been told anything about him being difficult with his nails and she said that it appears that I was told. I told her that I am not a liar and I could not help what her employees put in notes and did not really do. Then she told me that my dog had a history of being difficult. He is the sweetest most loving laid back dog I have ever been around. He has never been difficult. Michelle was basing this on notes that said he was difficult when his ears were scoped. I was in the room when this happened and all he did was pull away from the scope. He was not aggressive in any way. So, for the difference of 5 stupid dollars they blamed others their office and labeled my sweet dog difficult AND called me a liar. Not very professional! I told them to keep the 5 dollars since they did not understand good business practices because if this is how they treated customers they would need it.

It was the service leading up to me canceling my appointments for my animal's.I hope if you choose this location that you receive the good service I did not have the opportunity to receive.-To Susan, I really hope your inappropriate comments and insult was worth losing customers and the poor review. Dr. Brus, Mindy and the staff were wonderful! We live out of state and were buying a puppy from a local breeder and Central Pet Care were great! We wanted an independent veterinary examination prior to purchase and would definitely recommend them for anyone!

So far, I have had a great experience with Dr. Brus at Central Pet Care. They have been very informative on all the questions I have asked. I know that my puppy sure loves going here. The ladies at the front desk are always so nice and helpful as well. All around, it is a great vet!

I love the extended hours. The front desk gals are awesome. They've always checked with me before they do anything- none of those mysterious charges are happening. They treat my furbaby like he belongs to them! Great place.
